I cannot open my mail in hotmail. I cleared my cache and cookies, I reinstalled firefox, I tried disabling all add-ons and plug ins...nothing works. I don't understand, yesterday it worked just fine. Any help?

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Until I disabled all add-ons, 'New Tabs' did nothing! Any thoughts?

The New Tabs box was totally unresponsive until I restarted Firefox with all Add-Ons Disabled.
The main Add-Ons used were, FlashGot \ with Internet Download Accelerator (IDA), and 1 or 2 resizing tools, to reduce page size which was constantly oversize.
Anyone care to shed a little light on what they think is a probable reason(s) why this occurred?If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

I cannot open emails in Hotmail even though I have disabled all add-ons and plugins.
As of this morning, I cannot open any emails in Hotmail or open any folders therin. I have disabled all of my plugins and add-ons which has made no difference. To the best of my knowledge, no updates have been made to Firefox on my PC since yesterday.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
* While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
Over the course of the day, I can have 15-20 instances running in the background and they can range from as low as 3K in memory to upwards of 500000K. This makes my computer super laggy, and I have to go in and manually shut down each one. I've disabled every single add-on and plug in, and tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to no avail. I'm at the point where if I can't get this fixed, I'll just have to switch to another browser because this is a huge time suck. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature.

I've reinstalled FireFox 6 three time.
Slide show pics fail to load.
I have all of the proper Flash and Shockwave type Add-ons.
I just can't resolve the problem.
Yet my browser repeatedly locks upSending a solution that I have already tried is of no help, but I tried them all again, reloading works sometimes, I have seen in the past that others have had this problem also, of pages not completely loading. So I don't see how you can say I am the only one. When I first started using Firefox it worked great but now it doesn't, one of the updates caused this problem. I guess it's back to IE as it works fine now.

I am having this problem for weeks now.
What I tried:
- Defragmentation
- Reinstall Firefox on a different location
- Change download location
- Start Firefox in safe mode and try download
- Disable all add-ons and plug-ins
- Complete malware/spyware scan
- Complete virus scan
- Delete downloads.sqlite in the profile folder
- Uninstall firefox and delete the entire mozilla folder in Roaming location
- Disabling antivirus
Nothing helps! I'm only having this problem in Firefox. Downloading with Chrome for example doesn't give any problems.
How can I resolve this problem? I'm really desperate.

Cannot open e-mail in Hotmail through Firefox. I have Vista installed on the pc and Windows 7 on the laptop, but neither can access any features in Hotmail. I have tried clearing the cache and restarting Firefox, but I still can't use Hotmail.
No such problem when I go through Internet Explorer.hello, there are reports that the foxit pdf plugin is causing this issue. you might want to disable this plugin in firefox > addons > plugin until foxit offers a fix/update for its plugin.

the back button no longer works. I have disabled all add-ons,rebooted & reset the defaults for the browser and nothing has changed. This happens on all webpages.How do I get the back button to light up again?

I downloaded the ebates shopping toolbar and wish to remove it but it does not appear in my list of add ons or plug ins. I have just now downloaded the newest version of Firefox.
I am not able to remove the ebates tool bar because it does not appear when i go to tools then addons or extentions or plugins. Where is it?

I wen tot go into safe mode and disable add-ons, and instead of when the dialog box came I pressed save and continue after selecting disable add-ons button. I believe that's permanent, but can I undo this? Because now I have no Adobe Flash Player. Please help!

The game I am trying to play is on Facebook. The internet and other sites work as normal, but when I load a flash game the game begins for about 30 seconds and then freezes and firefox shuts down. I have used INTERNET EXPLORER and the games loads fine. This issue is with firefox plugins, extensions, add-ons...or whatever. I don't know what to do to get this to work properly.

ALL extensions disappear and cannot be installed. No new extensions can be installed. It prevents all extension installation.

I have actually been having this issue for over a year now with the previous versions. The browser always crashes right after I start it, but it seems work well in safety mode. I have tried resetting the Firefox, disabling all the add-ons in safety mode, and reinstalling the application, but none of these methods seem to work. Seems the crash reason is "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ," whatever it means...Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Wow so dramatic, sorry that just seemed an odd way to start a message. I would first recommend trying to perform a system restore. This hardly ever fixes any thing, but it is the easiest thing to try. Go the start menu >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore. Then choose the date that is before the system started acting weird.
If that doesn't help yeah try a repair install of LabVIEW on what ever versions are acting funny.
