Also, there's a known bug between adobe applications and using cover flow view in finder windows in 10.9:

so be sure to put your windows into list or icon view.

Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated.

Cannot open photoshop after uploading upgrade

I am running Windows7 Home Edition 32bit and after unsuccessfully uploading the latest Photoshop CC upgrade I cannot open photoshop and am getting the following error message.

How do I solve this problem.

Sounds like you have a bad install - some of the libraries are damaged or the wrong version.
Reinstalling may be your only hope.

Cannot open Photoshop Elements 4.0

My daughters gave me Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, the installation was successful, but when I open the program, I get this message:
"Your Adober Photoshop Elements user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit."
I typed in the serial number and registered with Adobe. What do I do? What did I do wrong? PLEASE HELP!!!

Cannot open Photoshop Elements 7

I need help asap please. I am not able to open elements 7 all of a sudden. I opened and worked in 7 earlier this morning and now am not able to do so, any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Well I checked everything that you stated and then I went to the link you provided. I clicked on one of his responses, it led me to an adobe site and answer page. I was all set to disable all my startup and services in msconfig when at the last minute it stated: disable eveything but Flexnet licensing and a light went on, lol. That item wasn't checked in the startup menu. I checked it to open on startup and guess what? I now have photoshop elements. Thanks for leading me to an answer. I would still be searching if you hadn't provided me with the links.

Cannot open photoshop elements 6?

I am unable to open my older photoshop applications including elements 6 and photoshop 4 on my older Mac G4 (os 10.4.11 on both) and iBook computers. They used to work beautifully. I bought a new iMac which is networked via ethernet to my older computers, and I purchased the latest photoshop and installed it on my new intel iMac computer running Maverick (it would not support the older programs). Shortly thereafter, my older apps on the older computers quit launching. The apps run through the credits, and then I get an error message saying the app has crashed. Help? Does this have anything to do with the installation of the newer software. I have trying reinstalling elements 6 on my older computers and attempted to launch the app when I do not have the computers networked, but no luck. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you.

What do you mean you loaded the lessons? They should just be sample files to follow along with the book. This likely has nothing to do with the issue you are encountering.
Do you get an error message when attemting to launch?

I am new here and I am hoping I can get someone to help me out.
I've recently Downloaded Photoshop Elements 8 (trial) for my Brand New Computer (I use Windows 7)
in hopes of purchasing it after learning the program a little bit, well I'm glad I haven't purchased it yet since I've run into a problem
I cannot get Photoshop Elements Editor to open, I can however use the organizer.
I have already tried the following things in hopes of fixing this problem
Uninstal-Reinstal
Services, Flexnet and made sure it was on
Pushed Control Alt and Shift and clicked on the editor button
all with no luck.
I'm really hoping someone has had this problem before and can help me out, I was really looking forward to using this program since I also own Photoshop Elements 6 and the same thing happend (I found out it is not compatible and have since uninstalled it)

You cannot run Photoshop CS on a new Intel-based Mac running OS X Mavericks. CS is far too old.
You'll have to buy Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop Elements 12. Or subscribe to CC.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.

I had the trial of Photoshop Elements 10, but uninstalled it a few days before trying this install.
I’m trying to install Photoshop Elements 10 but when I run setup it wants to uninstall it first and it fails to do that, stopping with “Error 1402 – Could not open key”. It then rolls back the install and ends. I purchased the boxed bundled version of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10. How can I get it to install without trying to uninstall first, as it is not really installed anymore?

I have Windows Pro 64-bit.
I have gotten past the problem of it wanting to uninstall first. The install proceeds as it should until it is almost done then I get an error and it rolls back. The error is:

Photoshop Elements 13 upgrade problem!?

I bought Photoshop Elements 13 upgrade version. Previous version PSE7 has been activated 3 years ago. My computer is connected to the internet via wifi with a speed of 100/10M.
Every time I try to open my new program it tell´s to me, that Sign in Required (even if I am signed in to www.adobe.com). If I say Sign in Now this window pop´s up!
What on earth should I do?

Mac OSX Photoshop Elements 11 upgrade will not install

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 11 (upgrade) after purchase, and then tried to install.
I get the Agree to License page OK,
Enter Serial No - I get a green check mark,
I enter Adobe ID and Password, and it authenticates,
then the Option Page. Product "Photoshop Elements ..." is shown with an icon and a grayed out check mark in the left column.
"Adobe Photoshop Elements ..." is in the column to the right, but the "All Components" is grayed out and cannot be clicked.
I have tried to click on the "Photoshop Elements ..." but nothing happens
The Install button is NOT grayed out
If I click the Install button, nothing happens - I mean nothing - no error indication,,,, nothing - it clicks in but nothing happens.
Is there a logfile somewhere which can tell me why it is not installing?
BTW, it is an upgrade but it never asks me for a previous full version serial number. Perhaps that is only done at activation?

Thanks Jeff, but it only asks for the current serial number - Which I know is not right.
I did get it to install, however, by manually going in and deleteing all references to Adobe from my system. The Installer is not handling an exception properly and is failing. Sorry, that's a bug. The offending file apparently was in /library/application support/Adobe. For my purposes, I only have to re-install one additional product to insure that everything still works. The fact that it installed an update without asking for a previous serial number is also a bug - perhaps the same bug not completely cleaned up. My opinion is that they either have to fix the installer or offer a cleaner - maybe there is a cleaner but I did not know about it. I am marking this as complete but the developers clearly have some work here. Perhaps it is not possible to handle every exception - I can accept that also.

I cannot download Photoshop Elements 13. My HP laptop computer spent about 20 minutes downloading files from a first link. When I click on the second .exe link, I get a dialogue box saying all the files are not downloaded. This has happened to me before and I don't understand what to do.

you need both the exe and the 7z files. put both in the same directory and double click the exe.
