When I'm trying to open twitter.com Firefox keeps waiting for twitter.com and then shows unable to open.I'm running Firefox on windows 8.1 it works just fine with my Ubuntu Linux but shows this problem on my windows 8.1.I'm unable to access any of Google's sites and twitter.Facebook,Yahoo and other sites works fine.Please help me.

Due to traffic it may happen. But if you are getting this problem frequently then, please reinstall firefox.
I am also using firefox on windows 8.1 but, have not encountered this problem.

I am a Doctor by profession and I need to access my email & its attachments asap and on the go, because they contain vital info like patient charts, flight details, work appointments etc.
I have just bought my iPhone 4.0, but I didn't know that the first hurdle I'll face would be that I cannot access this simple mime attachment!
I sidelined the Blackberry for an iPhone and now I'm ruing my decision. Can anyone please suggest a method for me to access this winmail.dat attachment.

Completely different from the iPhone's Mail app, all email with a Blackberry goes through RIM's dedicated email delivery service. The iPhone's Mail app communicates direct with the incoming mail server for an email account - no different from accessing an email account with an email client on your computer.
This is a Microsoft problem, and Apple doesn't include an option to convert RTF or HTML to plain text, which I don't believe would make any difference if this were an option with the iPhone's Mail app since I believe this isn't done direct with the Blackberry - this is done at the server with RIM's dedicated email delivery service for the Blackberry.

Help(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

Is the wifi optoin greyed out? If so, go to Settings>General>Reset and reset nerwork settings. You will need to reenter any wifi passwords you had previously saved. If that dosn't work, backup the phone and restore it http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 this will walk you through all that. Just make sure you setup your phone as new and test the wifi before restoring from backup.

I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

Genius bar told me to erase the harddisk and install OSX Maverick again. This has not changed the problems with the system settingsYou need to Repartition the drive as One partition which will erase all data from it and then reinstall OS X. then with the initial setup system you chose the language on the first screen that comes up. That sets the language for the whole system.
There is no other way of completely removing certain information created by a previous owner. this hold strue whether you are selling or give a Mac to someone.
To do the repartitioning you need to use the Online Internet Recovery system, if the Mac came with Lion 10.7 or above, or from the original system reinstall discs that came with it when it was new. -

I cannot open some pdf files online with Reader XI (like sample forms in Help section or IRS.gov or credit card statements). I have uninstalled Reader XI, cleaned and reinstalled. I have no problem right-clicking and downloading and then viewing the files. No problem viewing acrobat files. I'm runnnig Windows 7, IE9. I can acces them through Chrome.
RESOLVED
I found two suspect programs that were installed within the last 48-hrs that may have caused the problem
1) - Libre Office - latest update. This is a fork of Open Office. (unlikely)
2) - ManyCam video manipulation software (likely)
Following info here, I opted to try to open an Adobe PDF file that was on my hard drive. When I did, it refused and IE10 gave me an ActiveX error (AHA!!). When I checked the installation of ManyCam, it had installed a version of DirectX that may have over-written the resident versions or disabled them somehow.
I uninstalled ManyCam but left Libre Office's update in place, then I ran a system restore from a point 24-hrs before the installations.
This resolved the problem 100%.
So, the suggestion here is that there may be one or more program in the wild that is interupting the ActiveX or DirectX systems. They may be running or installing an older version. In this case it appears the handlers were broken.
Once the system restore had completed I was able to open Adobe PDF files within my IE10 browser from the Internet as well as open PDF files from my hard drive.
Note that this same issue also clearned up a problem I was having with the Comodo Dragon web browser, which is a fork of the Chrome project. Once I eliminated the suspect program and ran the system restore all was well. In the instance of the Comodo browser it was unable to open or reach anything - dead white screen below the menu bar.
So my suggestion would be to take an inventory of recent program installations, remove/uninstall them, run system restore from a date before the suspect programs were added, and see what happens. In my case that fixed the problem.
