You would not be able to substitute the AirPort Express for the Zyxel gateway that you have now, since the Express does not have a modem built in.....if that is what you are asking.
If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion, it might be possible to add the AirPort Express and connect it to the Zyxel gateway using an Ethernet connection. Then, the Express could be configured to provide a wireless network, which the Time Capsule could extend if it is located where it can receive a very strong wireless signal from the Express.
Sorry, I have not worked with the Zyxel product that you have in this type of setup with an AirPort Express, and cannot offer any guarantee that this would work the way you want.

You cannot downgrade your software. The only way you can downgrade your software is by jailbreaking your device (which can be risky if you dont know what your doing). Remember if you are downgrading by jailbreaking it will void your warranty with Apple - and you could run the risk of disabling your device.
However, im not too sure about the YouTube problem, my only guess is that since it is not an original app that comes with the iOS software.

Trying to set up airport express to extend my Wi-Fi network. Primary base station is a time capsule. Tried searching for airport express using Wi-Fi status, no luck. Even tried plugging airport express into iMac, still no luck. Airport express showing solid amber light. Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, this can mean one of two things:
1) The Express is locked up and will need a Factory Default Reset procedure to try to return the device back to its original default settings so that it can be reconfigured again.
2) The Express is defective. If you cannot get the Express back to a slow, blinking amber light after a Factory Default Reset, the Express will need to be replaced.
Try the Factory Default Reset a few times and report back on your progress.

regular SMS from non iPhone users will not show and you can't send to those phones.

I cannot get my Vista laptop to print to the printer on the base station

I cannot get my laptop windows pc to wirelessly print to the printer on the base station. the mac have no problem with it. but not the pc vista laptop or xp running on boot camp on my imac Leopard.
How do you make this happen?
It's an HP business Inkjet 1200 bubble jet printer, hooked to my EBS

Try resetting the printing system:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next try deleting the system and reinstall the printer..

I did a clean reinstall on my Mac Book Pro and in the process I lost my Espon print drivers. I went to th eEspon site and downloaded what was needed. I installed per instructions. I was told to reboot, but all I got was a blank blue screen. I shut down the computer again all got was a blank blue screen. What should I do> How can circumvent the usual satrtup procedure.

This file is used for scheduling external jobs. It should be owned by root:dba and have 644 permissions. Temporarily change the owner to be oracle:dba, perform the upgrade, then change back to root:dba.

PSC 1315 no longer supported for scanning since Mac OS X v10.5 or while using any newer OS, there is no scan software provided by either HP or Apple (Image Capture)

Image capture will not recognize your device as well, only print is supported as you may find listed for teh PSC 1310 Series below:

Have you tried a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If the battery is empty then it may take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond

Apple intentional, use a powered USB hub instead.
