I cannot play music from my iPad. It only plays certain songs.  Any suggestions?

When I hit the music app all my music shows up but it will not play.

  • When I try to transfer music from my iPad to my Mac, some songs won't transfer

Generally, I buy all of my music on my iPad. When I tried to transfer music from my iPad to my Macbook, around 15-20 out of 200 songs wouldn't transfer (which ***** for me, considering many of my favorites happened to be among the 15-20).
Does anyone know why this is, or how I can fix it..? I'd rather not have to buy the songs again. /: Would deleting them on my iPad, re-downloading them on my iPad, and then trying to transfer them again work..?
Thank you for any replies. : )

The best thing to do is go to Settings > Store and see what Apple ID is showed there. If it's your old one, then you can tap on it, and choose to 'sign out'.
Once you sign out, tap on 'Sign in' and use your current information. That usually works!

  • Itunes cannot play certain songs and will not add them to the library

i have music files on both a hard drive connected to a router plus i have placed the specific files onto my mac to try to fix this issue to no avail.  while songbird, vox, and several other players will easily load correctly and do exactly what i want, itunes will not play these songs, will skip over them when i try to add to the library and will not play the file if i drag and drop, try to load it through the  "file, add to library" method.  the files are .ogg, .m4a, .mp3, .m4p, and they just will not show up. Any media players out there that will recognize an ipod so i can load these files up and get away from my mac for a while?

@CPL_STEELE: can you try to post these specifications in your own topic? (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=985161&tstart=0)
It's not very nice to take over someone else this topic, because the topic starter (Ganieda) could have another problem than you. It's also very confusing for everyone who is trying to help because there are now 2 problems in the same topic.

  • "Disk cannot be read from or written to" When syncing CERTAIN songs to iPod

So I bought my friend's iPod Touch. I've talked to her about this issue and she's never experienced anything of the sort. When I got her iPod Touch I downloaded the newest software (3.1.2).
It's still currently running on 3.1.2 (as I know of no way to set it back to a previous version). When I try to update the iPod it will sync fine until reaching certain songs. These songs will freeze iTunes entirely for a few moments, an error message will pop up saying "Disk cannot be read from or written to". The only way I could go around this predicament was to go through my library and un-check the songs which caused the iPod sync to fail. This is quite annoying having to have several songs un-checked as some of them are the songs I want to listen to.
What can I do to fix this? I've reset and restored everything. Multiple times. Yet to no avail.
The error occurs only with songs, I have not run in to any errors updating applications (yet).
I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard, the iPod Touch is running 3.1.2 (the newest update), the iPod was originally purchased back in July.

I suggest you read through the following article for some help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1207
Normally, if you have a DRM'd song that you do not own, you will get an error (not this one, however) that the song will not/cannot be copied to your iPod. My feeling is that you might have some corrupted files.

  • How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than by one song at a time? I am still on iOS 7.

How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than one song at a time? I would like to delete a few albums.  I am still on iOS 7.

You can either sync the iPhone and iPad to a computer that has your music on it and make sure the U2 album is not on the computer. Or you can delete all of the music from both devices (settings > general > usage > manage storage > music. Then redownload your music from your purchase history on the iTunes store
Also the U2 album is attached to your apple id. To remove it, you will need to go here ---> https://itunes.com/soi-remove

  • How to remove music from my iPad that synced from iTunes

Hi.  When I originally synced my iTunes and iPad, all the music came over with the apps.  The music is now taking up too much space.  I have updated my sync settings within iTunes to indicate that it should only sync the apps (not the music).  However, all of the music is already on my iPad.  Is there anyway that I can remove the music from my iPad without losing all my songs from iTunes (that is my fear)?
    Thanks!

I had this same problem. On the "Summary" page of your device in iTunes, select "Manually manage music and videos" under Options. Then go to "On this iPad" (or iPhone), command+A to select all, and delete. Apple will ask if you're sure you want to delete all music. If you choose yes, you will see the blue music section of your content bar at the bottom disappear.
    Hope this helps.

  • I cannot sync music from my iMac to my iPad.

I cannot sync music from my iMac to my iPad.
I have tried rebooting my computer, rebooting and iPad, and nothing works.
I'm using an iMac that runs OS X 10.9.1, iTunes 11.1.4 and my iPad Air runs iOS 7.0.4.  Please help!

I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
    Thanks for the effort

  • Playing music from my iPad through my home stereo?

Can I play music from my iPad through my home stereo using AirPlay and an Airport? Is this the way to go?

Do you actually have to have either an TV or an AirPort Express on your network in order to get the AirPlay icon to appear? Because I cannot find it, but I do not have either device.
How/Where do you find it in the Video app?

Possibly nobody has answered this in 10 hours because your question is not clear.  Accept?  What exactly are you trying to do?
    Do you mean authorize?

  • Cannot remove music from iPad. Why?

I need to remove music from my iPad to create space to import movies. However, via iTunes/Sync even though I uncheck the Sync Music box I find that the music remains on my iPad. What am I doing wrong?

It should remove the music once you click on your phone in the left pane and go to the music tab at the top of the iTunes screen. I have tried this myself just now with my iPhone 4S. Once I deselected sync all music, the capacity bar at the bottom changed to show no music. If I had selected sync, all my music would have been removed from my phone.
Since you removed the music from directly from the phone and not iTunes, once you connect to iTunes and sync, the same music will be synced back onto the phone.
Try playing with the settings and see what you come up with. Also, try closing iTunes and restart your computer amd see if this fixes things.

  • AppleTV tries to connect to internet radio while playing music from my Ipad via AirPlay

    As the title says..
When I play music from my Ipad mini via AirPlay, the sound drops every ten to fifteen seconds.
On the TV-screen it shows the info about the band, song etc, but when it drops I get a box with "internet radio" written inside, before the sound comes back, and everything is normal again. Very annoying to have the sound cutting like that multiple times during a song..
AppleTV (gen 3) is wireless connected to a Airport Extreme, and with HDMI-cable to a surround reciever.
The Ipad and AppleTV have the lates updates (IOS 8.0).
Tries with a 4S with the IOS 7.1.2 version, but it's the same story with that..

  • How to play music from my ipad using a Bose sound link

Need some help. Is it possible to play my music from my ipad to abode system using asoundlink

I know you can use your iPad with the Bose SoundLink wireless music station. However I'm not sure how that would connect to anything that Adobe makes.
Checking on other forums where people had trouble connecting you would press and hold the Wireless/Wirelink button on your Bose remote until it shows in the Bluetooth screen on your iPad

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
With Home Sharing, you can stream music to your iPad. To transfer the songs to your device, sync it with iTunes. See this article for the steps:
