I cannot play videos on youtube

I can't seem to watch videos on youtube. When I try, I'll get the little advertisement thing, but once that's over and it's supposed to go to the actual video, all i get is a black screen. When I right click on it I get 'Movie not loaded...' but it's greyed out. Can anyone help me? I'm using Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows XP 32-bit. Also I receive no error messages, it just won't play.

Something is blocking it from running in the AcitveX filters. Those instructions will help

Can someone help me and explain why I cannot watch Youtube on Safari or Chrome?.. I try to find updating Flash and there is no way around I can download flash.. I was reading those old topic and they said it could be the flash palyer but I try downloading but it say your device is not supported.. IPAD is useless without Youtube.. Did anyone manage to solve this problem? The same issue on my side. I cannot play videos, doesn't matter if it is youtube application from google, third party application, chrome or safari. It always shows: this video is currently unavailable.
I tried:
- Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
- Holding Sleep and Home button for 10 seconds to reset
with no success.

Cannot play video from YouTube!

Hi. I'm a user of N8-00. I tried to watch video from YouTube desktop version. But I cannot play the video. The web browser keep asking me to update my flash player. oh...yea i wnt to nokia abt tht...wth th argument tht my good old n95 8gb can play th desktop version...they tried all the other n8s whch where available and none of them worked...they said nokia hq stuffd up...

Cannot play videos on youtube.

I have a mac desktop running Yosemite and i use Firefox as a browser. Just recently i have not been able to play any of the video's i get up on the YouTube site.
      I have updated my Flash player , ive enabled Javascript and ive also checked to make sure my browser was up to date.
      I have even checked my DNS number ( although i havent got a clue what its meant to be anyway).
        But i am no nearer a solution ,can anyone help please???

It doesnt play on Safari as i did try that. It just takes a long time to try and load , but then a message comes up " error occured , try again later".

every time i try and play youtube videos on firefox the video box goes white. ive installed flash plug ins and the latest flash player but it still doesnt work

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache
or
Tools->Options->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]
Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie if above does not do it.

Since installing iOS 6 I cannot play video through YouTube on appletv. It's fine on its 5 help pls Brian

I have installed iOS 6 on phone and had to download YouTube again. Since this I can only listen to YouTube video on appletv or watch it if I mirror the iPhone with apple tv. I used to be able to watch on full tv screen on ios 5
Can I resolve this without going back to ios5 ?

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

Safari cannot play videos from youtube or other websites

I recently tried to go online to view a video for my class. However, when I clicked on the link, it just was a blank screen. When I tried to go to Youtube and watch videos, I got a blank black screen where the video should be. Can you help me please? Thanks.

Uninstall then reinstall the most recent version of Flash which you need for YouTube.
Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
Now repair disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

My macbook pro cannot play videos on facebook, but I installed adobe flash and I can see youtube videos and others. My version is OS X 10.8 when I bought it few days ago, and I just upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion.

Cannot play videos through Facebook saying I need to download and install latest version of Flash player

Hello.
I have here a MacBook Pro OS X version 10.9.5. I cannot play videos through Facebook. It says I must download and and install the latest version of my Adobe Flash player. I already downloaded and installed the latest version however, it still says the same thing whenever i play videos in Facebook. On the other hand, i can play videos in other sites such as youtube and other online movie streaming. Can anyone please help me with this?

I cannot play videos in Google Chrome, only black screen appears on youtube player. i tried to play videos in Internet explorer, after a few seconds it suddenly stop to play. i also tried to use Firefox but i'm always failed to download the Adobe Flash Player's latest version. Please help.

I have been ages trying to work out why this message appears every time I go onto YouTube or BBC iplayer, now sorted the battery went flat and time and date were lost, once corrected it works perfectly

"Cannot play video" was the error message, tried to search for a solution but no one mentioned time & date, then found an obscure post when trawling through old posts on another forum.

Me either, since I installed a new operating system on my mac book pro - I followed a suggestion of deleting all Flash Player files through system preferences, closing Safari while I install a new version of Flash, but I got an error message saying 'unable to complete installation' - problem remains. I can't watch most of the news websites: ctvnews.ca for exemple cannot play videos! thats so weired, even Chrome same problem, I have on my iMac and MapBook pro!
I reset both browsers! nothing! same problem!
software is updated too I mean flash player! I don't install plug-ins usually to avoide slow browsing!
I downloaded firefox and it is working better but I am used to Safari! what to do?

From the Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Help > Installed Plugins
That will show all your installed plugins. BTW, Flash is a plugin.
Try this...
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Back to Safari. Press Command + Option + E to empty the Safari cache.
Quit and relaunch Safari, try a video.
If that doesn't help, you may have the YouTube HTML5 beta enabled.
Opt out here > YouTube
The DivX plugin can prevent Flash content from loading.
Check ~/Library/Internet Pug-Ins and /Library/Internet Plug-Ins

TS5148 When I try to play a movie on Netflix from my IPad, I get a pop up saying: Cannot play video. "The connected display is not supported".

I have been successfully using my Apple TV with my iPad2 to access Netflix through airplay (mirroring) and suddenly it won't work. It says "the connected display is not supported" What's up?
Also when I try to stream Netflix through my Apple TV menu on my television it says "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later. But trying again later doesn't work any better.
Now the only way I can watch Netflix is using my small iPad screen. It appears the problem is with streaming Netflix through my Apple TV
