Not sure what you are saying, what printer? what laptop? what network? what have you tried? but it sounds like you do not have the printer driver for the printer you use, on your laptop.
Find the make and model and go to their website and look for the Mac Printer software and install it.
Perhaps you do have it installed but haven't found it. Look down the list next to Printer: in the print dialog.
I assume you have found the envelope templates in Pages' Template Chooser?

Printing problems Desket 3520 - says i can only print from apps

So frustrating.
Since upgrading to Window 8.1 I have nothing but print problems, despite unistalling and reinstalling. Now when I try to print,when I click on the print icon (that comes up from the swipe side bar) i get a message saying I can only print from apps. So I have been unable to print word docs etc of any kind. The printer works fine from my iphone and ipad and the laptop can see the printer wirelessly and connects to it - BUT IT WONT PRINT!! I've had to resort to emailing the docs to myself to print from my ipad - ridiculous!
WHAT is happening HP? I use an HP laptop and HP printer for a REASON, compatibilty. NOT SO since the update.
Please can someone send me an easy fix for this frustrating problem. 'Ive tried everything and I'm fairly computer savvy.

Hey there @lissim09 welcome to the forums
I am not quite sure why your Windows 8.1 is not printing to your Deskjet 3520 however, I have some ideas to try and find out and hopefully get it printing for you. The printer is working with other devices, which shows us the printer itself is alright.
Run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Please send me the results.
Also try a Clean Boot, restart the PC and try a print again. This will turn off all start up programs running on your PC, in the case there is something running that is blocking the printer from printing, this should bypass it. Also disable your firewall temporarily.
Try printing from two programs afterwards.
Also include how you have the printer connected to the PC (wireless, ethernet, usb).

If you have not already done so, your chances will really improve if you....
1) Connect the printer to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme
2) Download and install Bonjour Print Services for Windows on the PC

Sorry for the long delay. I have Windows 8.1 and using Lightroom 5.7 I have organized my unedited RAW format photos in files on my hard drive in folders in My documents/pictures. Once I edit them I move them to another folders on a separate drive and discard the rejects.
When trying to access my documents by selecting .File - Import from another catalog- my documents/ pictures; I see the folders, however when I select it, it says No items to match your search When using the drop down menu on the lower right I can only see the images if I click on "all files" and when I click on the image I want to import, it says "Lightroom cannot import this catalog; "The catalog does not appear to be a valid Lightroom catalog"
All of this happend when I loaded a Cannon Pro 100 printer plug-in. I tried to disable the plugin, but It is still happining and cannot access the images.

I've never used Print Booklet or your printer, but some things are determined by the printer and printer software, rather than the program from which you are printing. You might want to see if Xerox's website has any info also.

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

Old laptop stolen, can't add music from new laptop to iPhone

Basically, my old laptop was stolen out of my car, so bought a new one. I've put all my backed up music onto my new laptop, but can't add music from my new laptop to my iPhone. I've deauthorised my old laptop and authorised my new one, but iTunes wont let me drag music across into my iPhone. What do I need to do to add music to the phone?

Can only print from certain programs. Started suddenly.

Everything was working just fine and then suddenly I can only print from InDesign and Word. And when I print from InDesign I can't change any settings in the "print" dialog box or the program freezes and crashes. When I try to print from firefox, photoshop, illustrator among others, it freezes and crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the print driver and restarting my computer numerous times and the problem persists. (Unless I am not doing it properly) I go into my printer settings and remove the printer then go back in and reinstall it.
Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated as this is affecting my ability to do my job efficiently. Thanks so much.

Often printing problems are a sign of corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & then restart Pages.

Uninstalling the Printer Software.Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8).Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. We will see what happens! This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you.
