I cannot print off of firefox.

I cannot print while in firefox. The printer "prints" a blank page. I think this started when I updated past Firefox 4.0.
* I have updated to firefox 5.0.
* I have reinstalled printer software and updated.
* I have changed printers: from an Hp PSC1210 to an HPColor laserjet 2820
* My system is (MacPro OS 10.5.8) is completeley updated.
*Adobe Flash Player version 10.3.181.26
* I can print while using Safari, MS Office, or any other file/program.

Go to Print-Page Setup and turn on "print backgroud".

  • Cannot print off my iPad with photos art 5520

Help, I am having a really hard time printing anything on my iPad. Even the e print and AIO remote app will not recognize my wireless printer. Am I doing something wrong? I can print off my laptop with no problems, but my iPad will not recognize the printer. I am trying to print coupons

    Hi,
First, make sure that your printer and iPad are connected to the same network.  Have you tried using AirPrint yet?  Below is a link with Apple's instructions on printing from an iOS device.

  • I cannot print off the internet.

I cannot print from the internet, the printer wants to fax the document and I do not have the printer set up to fax. I have Windows 7. I have a MX922 just set up.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi mmwesty,
Please open your internet browser and then go to FILE and select the PRINT option.  Please ensure that the PIXMA MX922 printer is selected in the window and not the PIXMA MX922 FAX.  Next, please go to your START menu and select DEVICES AND PRINTERS.  In the window that opens, please right-click over the icon for your PIXMA MX922 and select the SET AS DEFAULT PRINTER option.  This will set the printer as the default when you attempt to print instead of the fax.
    Hope this helps!

As above. Alreayt spoke with canon and all of tests performed indicate the problem is with the firefox program settings

  • I cannot print PDFs from Firefox.

Since I updated to Firefox 5.0 it shows PDFs differently, and will NO LONGER print them. The PDFs from these sites used to print okay, and still do print if I use Internet Explorer.
When I click Print on the menu or toolbar, nothing happens.
The Adobe style print box does not come up.
Print preview shows a blank page with only header & footer.

Go to Print-Page Setup and turn on "print backgroud".

  • Cannot print documents with firefox as my internet connection

When I try to print a document a window to save the document appears and then an error in printing window appears and nothing prints

you can download it on your work computer, locate the file once its done, and take it to your home comp and have iTunes do an install from that. You'll have to direct it to the file though, itunes won't see it otherwise.

  • I cannot print any page from firefox 3.6.17, using Mac OS

All of a sudden I cannot print pages from Firefox. I cannot even print e-mails. I am on Mac OS 10.5.8 using Firefox 3.6.17. All I get is blank pages. I can, however, print from Safari.

I did as benshaine posted in his thread here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/789780 I installed Firefox 3.5.10 to my desktop, printed from 3.5.10 and then went back into 3.6.x and I could print.

  • I cannot print

I had this problem once before. Very annoying. I cannot print anything from Firefox. Last time it was because of the upgrade. I was given Namoroka to start up Firefox. Today, I have a ton of work to do and I can't print. What can I do? I've shut down, quit, turned off, reset.....

  • Cannot print or open print queue

    Hi All
I currently cannot print off of my iBook G4. In Word when I try to print it comes up with a dialouge that says "word cannot print". It does not come up with the standard printer dialogue. Also in Excel the cell formating is messed up do to not finding the printers. In System Preferences I can open the printer and fax pane, but when I try to open the print queue it does not open and just crashes. I have tried printing from other applications with the same result. I hear that some people have been problems printing since 10.4.9. The only solution I can think of right now is to reinstall OSX. This is my last resort
    Thanks for your help.
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   New August 2005 60 gig HD 1.33 GHz 512 MB Memory

Try these two things - insert your OS X install DVD and restart, holding down the c key until you're sure it is using the DVD to start. DO NOT start the installer - instead, find Disk Utility in the top (Finder) menus and use that to repair the hard drive. Restart.
Now, download the 10.4.9 COMBO updater and re-update with that. Restart, then delete and re-Add the printer in Printer Setup.

  • I Cannot print from emails on an HP L7590. Do you have a fix for this

Since I upgraded to 5.0 I cannot print emails from firefox. When I then go to windows I can print as before. I get a message indicating that my printer is not connected .

Thank you for your help. It didn't occur to me that Firefox would not automatically use my default printer. Your suggestion helped me to think about that and when I went to printer, it had the wrong printer designated. So it did help. I could not find the links you mentioned in your help

  • Cannot print from firefox using windows 7 x64 pro

I cannot print using Firefox 3.6.3. I have a canon mx340 printer and am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I can print from files, email (Outlook), IE and everything else. I downloaded newest print drivers. I reset printer in Firefox using "about:config" That fixes it temporary, but after a little bit of time it stops printing again.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

I fixed this problem. I had to turn off the browser virtualization feature in Zone Alarm Extreme Security. This wiped out all of the Firefox settings, but I had bookmarks, etc. backed up. (answered by original poster)

  • I cannot print from Websites or my college online course. Tries to save files to desktop as an .xps document but nothing happens and I get an error message that print command did not work. Have reinstalled firefox and adobe, no help. Any suggestions?

Cannot print anything from internet using Firefox as browser. Please advise. I have to use Firefox for internet college courses, cannot print my assignments. I do not have this problem on Mac or using Internet Explorer. Only happens when using Firefox. When I select print a message comes up to save information to desktop as .xps file. Select save, sometimes it is on the desktop but I cannot open the file or it simply does not save file and get an error message that print command failed. What is happening?

{Ctrl + P} and select your printer in the Printer - Name box near the top of that window.

  • Firefox 37.0.1 crashes every time I try to print. Thunderbird cannot print either. IE and other apps have no problem printing.

Firefox 37.0.1 on Windows 7 64 bit. To try to fix, I have inactivated all addons, then removed all addons, then back leveled Firefox, then uninstalled Thunderbird (as this was an addition around the time this started happening), and deleted and reinstalled the printer driver. Even when I uninstalled Thunderbird and then installed Firefox 37.0.1 I cannot print. With both programs reinstalled now I again cannot print from either. I get "error encountered while printing" with Thunderbird, and a crash with Firefox. I followed all of the advice in the "Fix printing problems in Firefox" article in the knowledge base to no avail. The latest Firefox crash report is bp-1132bb48-c14b-4f20-ab65-8d58e2150415. Looking below, I see that there are installed plugins, but I don't understand how those got there as I completely uninstalled, downloaded, and reinstalled Firefox. I can't find the same issue in the knowledge base and can't fix following printer problem suggestions. Sure would appreciate some help.
I also reset all print related config entries per advice in another support thread. Many of those were MP560 related and had that model name built into the config entry name (my printer is a Canon MP560). I notice now that those entries are missing. I also have no PRINT_PRINTER entry referenced as a config option to reset. It is missing.
Resetting the PRINT.PRINT_PRINTER entry on Thunderbird also did not work and the entry disappeared upon reset. I believe this is what happened with Firefox, too.
I forgot to say that I can print fine from all other programs and browsers.

I didn't see that I could edit the question before "I answered myself." I updated the question.
