I cannot purchase a subscription to Adobe Photoshop in Creative Cloud

Hello my account is at [email protected] for Adobe Creative Cloud. I have been using a few apps on iPad and Andriod and wanted to move to a full subscription of Creative Cloud with Photoshop as my first online application. But each time I try to purchase the subscription in the store durring the shopping cart process I get an error that the purchase type is not availible at the moment in the very 1st step of the confirmation process, the error prompts a toll free number I can call, I have called the number but I could not reach a representative that speaks English and when they attempt to transfer me to a rep that does speak English the call is droped. (I am in Switzerland the only language options are German, French or Italian). I would appreciate help with this issue either via online or on the phone.

Industry standard files such as JPEG are compatible with many brands/versions of programs
Proprietary files such as those created by InDesign are often not backwards compatible, due to new features in newer program versions
This is not unique to Adobe... MS Word DOCX files are not backwards compatible with earlier versions of MS Word

    You could be facing this issue because the software is unable to contact the Adobe servers.     I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium (Teacher and Student Edition).  I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, and it says the Adobe CS6 is valid - but only provides 'photoshop' options for entering my old serial number, rather than the adobe creative suite. How do I move past this so I can download it on my computer.  I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop.  From looking online, I read forums that said this was possible.  Please advise

    Unfortunately that option is not possible.
    You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
    Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
    You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
    Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
    Some options:
    Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
    Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
    Join the Cloud

    Has you contacted the seller through its Customer Service?
    If that is the case and Customer Service has no idea of what you were given as a Product Key and how to use it, have you considered asking
    your question in the seller's forum (PC software section)?

    It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.
