Thanks for the feedback. Now, before installing in, put a copy some place safe and you won't have to download it again, wasting bandwidth, time, and electricity. Why? Because the installer blows itself away during the installation—IMO, a braindead delivery system, copied from their iOS world, but totally unsuitable for computers.

I have Lion. I have software that is not yet ready for Yosemite and I need to download video editing software that will only run on Mountain Lion and above. With this in mind, I purchased Mountain Lion online LAST WEEK. I received the secure email/pdf and tried to redeem it from Apple Store. I keep getting this message: "This item is being modified. Please try again later". That was about 6 DAYS AGO. I gave it some time and tried today and I am still getting this message.
What is going on? Called customer service and got disconnected twice (I don't think intentionally though). The third person had more info on this and it seems that Apple is just finding out about this and it may be related to the Watch rollout. Why don't Apple people say something? I check online and my order says "complete" but I have not received what I paid for and there's an error occurring. Now I am just here waiting to see if and when I can get this software.
Can someone provide more info on this? Is there another way to get Mountain Lion? Is it available on disc?
Without the OS upgrade I cannot use the video editing software.

Sorry, but there is no iTunes Store for Afghanistan and you are not allowed to use the iTunes Store of any other country, so unless you physically go to another country and have a valid payment method issued in that country (an Afghani credit card will not be accepted), you cannot purchase apps.

It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This changed with Snow Leopard. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

Purchased Photoshop from Apple Store Info

Purchased my Photoshop Elements from the Apple Store on my mac. I would like to install Photoshop on my windows computer at home as well. I read somewhere that Adobe allows Photoshop to be installed on two computers but you cannot use it on each computer at the same time. My question is firstly how do i get the serial number from Photoshop that I purchased from the Apple Store and how do i install it on my windows computer at home.

I think you are out of luck.
However, if you can register the software with Adobe and look up the serial number under the Manage / View Products area after logging into Adobe.com then you might be able to download the trial for PSE Windows and see if the serial number works, but otherwise, the Apple store version likely won’t work anywhere else.

Cannot purchase Music From iTunes Store

I have an iMac indigo running OS X 10.2.3 and iTunes 4.7.1. I recently drank 5 bottles of coke and entered the promotion codes into the iTunes store to get my 5 free songs. My account registered that I had 5 song downloads available. I went to choose my first song and was told that I had to upgrade to iTunes 7, which requires OS X 10.3.9.
I don't have OS X 10.3.9 or iTunes 7 and had no plans to upgrade as my iMac does everything I need.
Does this mean I am now excluded from purchasing songs from the iTunes store?

I'm wanting an answer to this also. My ibook G4 800 ran like crap with itunes7(minimum req. is 1 GHz) so I downgraded to 6.0.5-and now I can't make purchases either! I bought season passes a while back (before itunes 7) and I got the first couple episodes , but now it won't download them anymore-says I need '7!!!! I am really ticked!!!

After downloading iOS5 I cannot access the iTunes store on my iPhone or iPad but i can on my PC laptop.to purchase songs. Only podcasts are available. Anyone else having this problem?

I believe that you're seeing another symptom of the iTunes store authentication problems reported elsewhere. iTunes, the store, MobileME and others are all rather integrated and a problem in one of those has affected all the rest. For instance, I am able to purchase new content but cannot authenticate the old content. Others are unable to purchase at all.
Be patient. Apple has known about this problem since Aug 4 and I assume they're working on something. It should be days (but not hours) before they resolve it.
