  • Extend characteristic length without deleting any data

    Hi All,
I have to change an info object's length. However, this info object is used in some infocubes and DSOs (that generate SID).
Is there a way on extending chrs. length without deleting any data that is contained in the infoproviders.?
They've really huge data volumes. I dont want to delete all the data and re-upload.

  • Need to purge/delete transaction data

    Hi !
We are in a very drastic situation as the storage of our production instance crashed. Though we have no transaction data in the production server , we have given a lot of effort in setup and master data. The only hope we have is the clone instance of that production instance (Cloned 15 days back) which is our test server. Now if anybody can help us like if we can purge/delete the transaction data from the clone instance except setup and master data then we could recover the production instance.
    Please help us asap !
    Thanx in advance.

Some data (such wip jobs/invoices etc.) can be deleted where as some cannot be.

  • Satellite P100 - Cannot delete the data from CD-RW disks

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P100 laptop.
According to the User Manual it says:
You cannot partially delete any data written to a CD-RW
I thought the whole idea of using a CD-RW was so you could delete whatever you wanted to and use that part of the disc again and again.
    Can someone explain?

I didnt find this info in user manual and if you have burned some data on the CD-RW disks then it should be possible to format such CD-RW using an 3rd party tool like Nero Burning ROM for example.
I did it many times using Nero and was always successful

  • Deleting specific data points from a scatter graph

I cannot seem to figure out how to delete single points in a scatter plot to get rid of the outliers. Someone help me!

    I have never used Numbers.
Can't you just delete the data on the source?
The PhD research scientist in me makes me ask you if you are justified in deleting any data points? Even apparent outliers may represent a true data sample. Likewise, how do you know one of the "good" points isn't an aberrant sample that really belongs at an extreme? I would take care of outliers by reanalyzing the sample many times until I averaged it into submission. The only outliers I would outright delete were ones where I could truly question the quality of the analysis based on other data, or it it was truly impossible (e.g., a negative number of apples growing on a tree).
One thing I would do would be make a scatter plot with one set of data and generate my line through it, then generate a second plot on the same page with the outlier data but not plot a line through it. The line would show the relationship I thought really applied but I was also up front about data I had rejected and still presented it for all to see.

  • Does reinstalling OSX delete the data on the drive?

Does reinstalling OSX via recovery drive delete any data on the drive? Basically, I think the install of yosemite I have now is messed up and needs to be redone. Safari doesn't open in normal start up mode but opens in safe mode. I figured a reinstall of OSX would help? Does reinstalling it remove all the data on the drive? Or does it detect that there is data there and leaves it alone? Thanks in advance.

    Hey Kpe413,
Thanks for the question. Using the built-in recovery disk to reinstall OS X will keep your files and user settings intact. However, you should always make a back up of your data via Time Machine or manual methods in case you run into any issues. For more information, check out the following resources:

  • How can I reset my lock passcode without plugging it into the computer or restoring it or resetting any data?

I went I to my phone and I tried to unlock my passcode but it did not let me in, how can I reset my lock passcode without plugging it onto the computer on iTunes, or restoring it or deleting any data ?

You don't. The only way to remove the passcode if forgotten is to restore the device. If you have a backup, you can restore to that last backup, but anything done since that last backup would be lost.Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

  • How to delete aggreagetd data in a cube without deleting the Aggregates?

    Hi Experts,
How to delete aggreagetd data in a cube without deleting the Aggregates?
    Regards
    Alok Kashyap

    Hi,
You can deactivate the aggregate. The data will be deleted but structure will remain.
If you switch off the aggregates it wont be identified by the OLAP processor. report will fetch the data directly from the cube. Switching off the aggreagte won't delete any data, but temporarly the aggregate will not be availbale as if it is not built on the info cube. No reporting is not possible on swtiched off aggregates. The definition of the aggregate is not deleted.
You can temporarily switch off an aggregate to check if you need to use it. An aggregate that is switched off is not used when a query is executed. This aggregate will be having data from the previous load's. If the aggregate is switched off means it wont be available for reporting but data can be rolled up into it.
If u deactivate the aggregates the data will be deleted from the aggregates and the aggregate structure will remain the same.
The system deletes all the data and database tables of an aggregate. The definition of the aggregate is not deleted.
Later when you need those aggregate once again you have to create it from scratch.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Delete older data via process chain

Business needs only data for the past 45 days at any given time and the data loads are daily basis via process chain.
so I would like to have a step in Process chain to delete any data older than 30 days from today's date , on a daily basis.
How can I do that in the Process chain?

    Hi,
You can use a process type called Delete overlapping request from Infocube in process chain. To delete requests older than 30 days select Deletion selections and write ABAP routine under Request selection through routine using following template.
Routines for determining the old requests to be deleted after successfully loading a new request.
    form compute_<InfoCube-Name>
      tables l_t_request_to_delete structure rsreqdelstruc
      using l_request like rsreqdone-rnr
      changing p_subrc like sy-subrc.
*Insert Source Code to decide if requests should be deleted.
*All Requests in table l_t_request_to_delete will be deleted
    *from Infocube <InfoCube-Name>.
*Add new requests if you want to delete more (from this cube).
*Remove requests you did not want to be deleted.
$$ begin of routine - insert your code only below this line-
         loop at l_t_request_to_delete.
         endloop.
         clear p_subrc.
$$ end of routine - insert your code only before this line-
    ENDFORM.
    hope it helps...

so is SMC will solve this problem?
and is SMC will not delete my data?

  • RemoveCurrentRow / Delete cannot really delete data.

I have a View that contains an entity, I created an AppModule to include the View.
I try to test the AppModule by Run it from JDeveloper 11g. In the Oracle Business Component Browser, I found I can create/edit records of the View, but cannot delete any row.
When I click the Delete button, the record is removed from the UI, but the Commit button still disabled, so I am unable to commit the delete action from the Oracle Business Component Browser.
I try to modify some data after deleted a row, and commit the changes, I found the data is modified in database, but the delete action is not work.
Is it any settings or config i have to modify?
Thanks in advanced, and sorry for my poor English.
    Samson Fu

    Hi,
I suppose for that view object, DeleteParticipant property would've been set to "false". Edit the View object, go to the source, and change the property to true
    It should be something like
      <EntityUsage
        Name="<EO_Name>"
        Entity="<package.EO_Name>"
DeleteParticipant="true"/>  <== In your case it would've been false.I think, for that view object, you would've unchecked the Updatable check box (in the overview editor) and then checked again. When you uncheck the Updatable check box, it sets the DeleteParticipant to false and when you check the Updatable again, you need to manually enable the DeleteParticipant.

  • How can I make extra storage on my phone when I have deleted any all data, pictures and files that I couldn't store in a dropbox and not have purchase additional storage?

how can I make extra storage on my phone when I have deleted any all data, pictures and files that I couldn't store in a dropbox and not have purchase additional storage?

Purchasing additional storage only applies to iCloud, not to the phone itself. You cannot purchase additional storage for the phone, only purchase a larger capacity phone. If you have deleted all of the content that you can, then that is all of the space that you have. What is it exactly that you are trying to do? Does this have to do with space for performing an OTA update of the iOS?

  • Cannot delete Master Data on 0MATERIAL...

"Cannot delete Master Data on 0MATERIAL...... some records still in use"
Hi, I am facing an issue where I would like to delete ALL 0MATERIAL records and load them again but I am getting the above message.
Would very much appreciate any feedback.
    thks,
    Alex

    Guys, thank you all.
    That went smooth.
When I executed the SLG1 log it showed me was still data in some InfoProviders.
    SOLVED DOING
a-  Deleting data from such infoproviders (from log).
b- Trying again to delte 0MATERIAL data.
    c- Error again.
    d- SLG1
    e- Identify form SLG1
    a- delete content from Cube/DSO/Object...
b- trying again to delete 0MATERIAL...
Until all data got deleted and I was allowed to delete 0MATERIAL data.
First, delete the master data from the places where it is still being used (for example, in InfoCubes, as an attribute, in a hierarchy). Refer to the application log: Transaction slg1, object RSDMD, sub-object MD_DEL. The application log contains a list showing you whether the master data has been deleted or if it is still in use, and if so where it is being used. The list is complete only when you confirm that you want to delete all the master data that is in use.
(Which I think Srinivas mentioned already)
QUESTION: I though when we delete Request we delete data from Cube (or DSO...) though as per SLG1 log was showing some cubes contained data.
Has this to to with E and F table ?
    thks
