I cannot re-install Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

I have faced a problem and then uninstalled the Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. Then I tried to re-install it but the Adobe Download Manager always showing the program is 'up to date', there's no 'Install' button as before, so I didn't know how to re-install it. I am a member of Creative Cloud and I have not the original software in my computer. I pay monthly fee. How to solve the problem?

I am having the same issue.I can't get these solutions to work. (I didn't even know what a "caps" folder was so I didn't attempt that.) Did anything work for you?
Suddenly Acrobat Pro declared itself a "trial version." I saw there were two Acrobat shortcuts on my (Windows) start menu. I deleted Acrobat entirely and tried to reinstall. I believe I was "within the CCloud" as I started at creative.adobe.com. Then went to Acrobat, clicked download. It took me to the list of apps on my computer. It proudly said "up-to-date." However, it no longer exists on my machine. ##$2?? ( don't even have Acrobat Reader loaded.)
The sign in screen takes 5 minutes to sign-in. The support option I thought might help said it was down. This is creative alright, but not in a good way.
Have you rebooted? I haven't tried that yet. Does Adobe even have phone support? The website is so determined to sell me stuff, it is hard to actually find that kind of information. I would think if it were available for a fee, I'd have been redirected there by now.

    Hi,
This link has the minimum system requirements for Acrobat 10 Pro : Acrobat X Pro Tech Specs
On Windows XP, the minimum requirement is SP3 for 32 bit. I would recommend that you update to SP3 by running Windows Update and then reinstall the application.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on a new laptop, but it doesn't accept my serial number

    Hello,
On my old laptop I had installed and licensed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I retired my old laptop and bought a new one. I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 now on the new one. But seemingly my serial number is not accepted any more. That's what I did so far
    1. Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html
    2. Retrieved my serial number from Adobe ID (it matched what I have found out locally on my old computer)
    2. Started the installation
    3. Entered my serial number when asked for. Then I get a message "Invalid Serial Number"
    Who can help please?
    Best regards,
    Dr. Rolf Schlagenhaft (Freescale Semiconductor)

Moving this discussion to the Acrobat installation & Update Issues forum.
RolfSchlagenhaft there are no registered Adobe software titles under the account you are posting to the Adobe forums with.  You will want to attempt to locate the account which has your registered serial number.  You can find more details at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.  If you need assistance locating the account which contains your serial number then please contact our support team at Contact Customer Care.
Finally if you have a volume license for Acrobat 9 Professional then the installation files are only available at https://licensing.adobe.com/.  The installation files you downloaded are for the retail version of Acrobat 9 Professional.  This may be another cause of you receiving the message that your serial number is invalid.

    Hi Pieter,
Acrobat 9 has not been tested and is unsupported Mac Mavericks.
You might face compatibility issues with it.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro on Laptop & New PC

Previously submitted on 9/02/12 but pressed for an answer quickly, please.
I have previously installed Adobe Acrobat Pro on a laptop and a desktop computer. I had to replace the desktop with a new system having Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I have installed the Windows XP Virtual system to run several legacy programs crucial to my business.  I have installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 in the Windows 7 operating system and now need it installed in the XP Virtual system to access the Adobe printer for use with the legacy programs. How do I accomplish this feat?
Does the XP virtual installation count as a 3rd installation which is not allowed by my license even though this computer is the 2nd computer permitted by my license? If so, it seems I might be penalized.
Help, please. Is there an option in lieu of purchasing a new license?
Thanks in advance for all responses.

  • I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) machine. It won't start.

I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) machine. I double click the desktop icon and double click on a PDF file and the hour glass (circle) appears for about 5 seconds but no Adobe Acrobat.

If it's not launching you can try repairing it from the control panel.  If that doesn't work then try reinstalling it.

  • To install adobe acrobat pro xi and place the license tells me it is invalid

to install adobe acrobat pro xi and place the license tell me it is invalid

    @Test-Screen-Name
On the original disk I fine the "install.app" version 6.0.335.0
There is no seperat CS6 install app.
In the map "Payloads" I find
    AcrobatProfessional10.0-EFG etc
    AcrobatXProfessional10.0-mul
    and many other files including
    AdobeDesignWebPremium6-mul
    AdobeDreamweaver files etcetera
So I can't find a separate "CS installer"
    @Rave:
I install stand alone on my MacBook Air. Since this MBA has no disc drive I use the disc drive of my iMac. I copied the installation disk to my iMac and then with "sharing" from my iMac to MBA.

  • Can't install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I purchased CS5 about 18 months ago and have recently had the need to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, which came with it. However, the disc isn't being read and I can't find anywhere to download Acrobat Pro 9 in order to use the serial number. Please advise! I need it quite urgently.

I am in the same situation.  I have a legal copy of Adobe Acrobat Preo 9, but can no longer read the disk I made when I first downloaded it.  I downloadeD Adobe Acrobat  9 extended and tried a friends copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 standard.  Neither of them would accept my seria number, which I downloaded from My Adobe.  Dealing with Adobe is ftustrating.

  • Hi, can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices?

Can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices? I have a desktop running Windows 7 and am thinking of buying a laptop running Windows 8. I would be the sole user and only using one device at a time.

Yes, the license permits installing on two machines at the same time as long as the same software is not being used on both simultaneously.

  • Pdf printer is not get installed while installing adobe acrobat pro 11 in win 7 32 bit

pdf printer is not get installed while installing adobe acrobat  pro 11 in win 7 32 bit

    BlackCat,
    Two things:
    1) Acrobat 8 Pro is not Win 7 compatible, no less Win 7 64-bit copmpatible
    2) Reader X and Acrobat 8 are not a supported combination. Reader X and Acrobat X is the first Windows combination that is supported by Adobe. Reader X and Acrobat 8 will cause problems.
You are using a brand new 64-bit OS, you need to use an application that is designed to work with it. Acrobat X is the way to go, HOWEVER, there are still growing pains with Acrobat X, Win 7 64-bit, and the latest version of Office.

  • Cannot Install Adobe Acrobat Pro via Adobe Download Assistant - Please Help

    Hi Guys,
Please can you help I am trying to download the adobe acrobat pro trial via the adobe download assistant but cannot get the download to complete successfully.
Everytime I try and  download the file it freezes when almost totally downloaded (less than a minute remaining) and eventually returns an error saying:
Error extracting teh product installer (Error 101). Check for available disk space on your system and try downloading the product again. I am trying to install to the desktop on a drive with 600GB free!!
Please help, I have downloaded the ADA through google chrome on a machine with windows 7 (64bit)
    Thanks
    Mike

    Try this:
Direct Download Links for Adobe Software
Though if the extraction fails, you may face that same issue again. Store the fiel in a different location and do a littel housekeeping. You could well simply be running out of temp space or have a permissions problem on your temp folder...

  • Error when trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro, recently purchased.

Recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro, when trying to install get an error message 'Your account subscription cannot be validated'. Have tried several times, double checked login etc, but same message each time.
Please help, how to fix this issue??

    Hi camelon,
Please delete the "Acrobat" and "OOBE" folders found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe
and delete the "Acrobat" folder found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Preferences
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Then launch Acrobat. It will go through the first launch experience of asking for UI language, AdobeID, etc.
If there's no change in behavior, please attempt to go to:
    https://na1mbls.licenses.adobe.com
If you can't get to this website there may be a firewall or other software blocking the connection. Acrobat must be able to reach this https URL and 3 others in order to complete and monitor the subscription/trial process.
If you can view the page at this URL, then please send the PDApp.log and amt3.log file from
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Logs/PDApp.log
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Temp
    to [email protected]
