I cannot reach the Add-Ons screen.
Neither the menu item (under Tools), nor the key combo (shift-cmd-A) do anything

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

This issue can be caused by the Personas 1.6.0 extension. If you have it then update to Personas 1.6.1

On the add-ons screen, I'm getting an indication that my Trend micro sofware is incompatible. What does this mean?

When I open the add-ons screen, I get a faded out message that Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 4. Below it is another faded out message that Trend-micro toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 4.
Do these messages mean that I'm not getting the Trend-Micro protection, or that I just can't open Trend-micro from within Firefox 4?
I've been using Trend-micro for a long time, and I really like it.

No that's wrong, the update for the trend micro toolbar will be issued the second week of JUNE 2011. How do I know this?

When I update to the latest version I cannot access the add-ons page or request help because neither page will load. My Weather channel add-on was NOT piced up when updating to the latest version. Why problems with improved latest version?

I have twice downloaded the latest version in the last month. Each time I encountered the same problems. the Weather Channel add-on I have did NOT appear in the latest version. When I tried to access the Add-Ons page under the Tools header it would not load. When I tried to contact Mozilla from the Help header it would not load
When I open a web page from Bookmarks it is painfully slow to load.
This is NOT an improved version. I have been using Firefox for years without problems; I prefer it to Internet Explorer. However the latest 'improved' version may change my mind.

The problem is that the Add-ons Manager tab when opened the first time, is on "Get Add-ons" section and that must be downloaded from the Add-ons server which might be overburdened.

Every time I try to access Add-ons, Firefox freezes and I get an "unresponsive script" warning that states, "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding . . ." The script in question is nsExtensionManager.js:623. I reinstalled Firefox, but that didn't help.

You have or had an extension installed (MegaUpload toolbar) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.12 to Firefox/2.0.0.13
You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page:

You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions. 
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

I want to get rid of the Bing screen but there is no "menu at the top of the Firefox window" for me to "select Tools and then select the Add-ons menu item. "

I suddenly have a "Bing" screen when I sign onto Firefox---and I want to get rid of it. The support section of Firefox says
1. "From the menu at the top of the Firefox window, seledt Tools and then select the Add-ons menu item."---but I see no "menu item" nor Tools, much less Add-ons.
2. "In the Add-ons window, click on the Extensions panel."---but how do I find the Add-ons window?
3. Find the Bing Bar and Search Helper Extension in the list and click Disable for each of them."---but what and where exactly is that?
At the top of the screen is only a Yahoo icon on the left and to the right of it a search box, "Web Search,", "My Apps," Yellow Pages," "Weather," "Updates," and "Skype." to the right of those there is a green cross saying "Add more apps. to your toolbar" and to the right of that a sort of gear shift looking icon saying "toobar settings."
So, in short, how do I get rid of the Bing screen and how do I access those Tools?

When looking for WeatherFox, I discovered my entire lower bar had disappeared. I cannot figure out how to restore it. The add-ons are still installed.

I just noticed this morning that the lower tool bar, including weatherfox, Hebrew Calendar, and several other add-ons, has completely disappeared. Perhaps it's a matter of having inadvertently clicked on something one day when not paying attention. When I checked under Firefox preferences a little while ago, I went to <manage add-ons> and saw all installed add-ons were still installed. I cannot find a way to restore the lower tool bar displaying them.
After doing a back-up, I opened Time Machine to see whether an earlier Firefox homepage included the lower bar. I don't know whether I did not go back far enough or whether Firefox is somehow opening to a new, unintended default without that lower bar, no matter how far back I go.
Meanwhile, in the process of writing this, I returned to Firefox Preferences and now the general preferences dialogue box is completely screwed up, as though the size of the contents of that dialogue box had grown, in both dimensions, so it no longer fits within the box and parts of it cannot be accessed. It is truncated, in other words, both at the right side and along the bottom. I can no longer even access the add-ons section. The last thing visible at the bottom of that box is the very top part of the line of text that appears to read: "Choose preferences for your add-ons." It's as though someone had come along with an Exacto and sheared away the bottom part of that line of text. And then there's the <?> at the lower left corner. Along the right side of the box, under "Home Page," there are three buttons: <Use Current Pages>, <Use Bookmark>, and <Restore to Defau>, which is the point at which the text ends.
What the heck is going on? Now it's not only a matter of restoring the lower bar on my Firefox page, with add-ons displayed, but apparently I need to figure out how to resize the general preferences dialogue box, as well. I just checked: The other preferences dialogue boxes appear to fit correctly.
I use a Mac PowerBook G4 with Firefox version 3.6.13.

Im getting a grey box at the bottom of my screen under the display line for the add ons like ghostry,personnas and greasemonkey icons are . i cant seem to get a "full screen" anymore . can you tell me how to overcome this

the box is located under the icon line at the bottom of the screen and above the window tool bar/icon box ! its almost like im running in a wide screen mode ! i cant seem to find a way of making the screen deeper, so it fills all the available space ! its also . freezing and it messes with the add ons and the adobe plugins ! a real shame cause i think the new layout is great . kep up the good work

I can reenable them but FF will disable them on the next startup. I uninstalled version 13 and installed version 12. Problem gone! So I'm still using version 12 and am afraid to update to version 13.
This problem began when I was trying to research and fix a problem (no history all-of-a-sudden) so it probably was something I caused. Can't recall everything I did though.
So: Does the addon problem I described have a solution? If so, I'll update my version 12 to version 13. Please respond.....

There have been a number of issues with server problems over the last few days. Try to go to that Mozilla page again. The issues have been intermittent and could return at any time until a final resolution is found. This forum page has also been affected by the problem(s).

Cannot access my add ons to manage them.

Yes, I know there is a "manage add-ons" button in the Options page. But every time I push it, I get redirected to get more add-ons. Nonsense! And the "add-ons" option in "Tools" does not do a darn thing! Even more nonsense!!I have just uploaded a recommended add-on which I really want to change the paramenters of. Cannot get it to appear ....and???I downloaded http://multirowbookmarkstoolbar.com/multirow-bookmarks-toolbar-501-firefox-4 and am happy with the product. When it downloads, it gives you a page of options. Unfortunately I set the number of lines of bookmarks too high for my liking, once it started up. I have been trying in vain to get in there to manage the option. Maybe the best option would be to uninstall and re install. But the big problem is that the "manage options"
