This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password. instead of the yahoo account password.

I've had this happen a few times before. What I found works is repairing the permissions. To do so click on go and then to utilities. click disk utilities. In disk utilities select the drive and click repair permissions. It may take a little time but try accessing after that.

You can currently only gift content (apps, music, gift certificates) to people whose account is based in the same country as yourself - so if you and your account are not UK-based then you can't gift to a UK account holder. I had the same problem and it was because of my firewall settings, which I had set to block all activity and forgot to reset it.
