I cannot recieve emails on my iPhone or iPad from googlemail? It is saying the username or password is incorrect??  I have tried a few options ? I have just changed the password with googlemail but that has not worked either it must be the username ?? But dont know how to do that ??

After changing the password did you also go to Settings>Mail>Google account and change the password there?

Have a cox.net email account that I use.  I can send mail on my iPad, but cannot receive incoming mail.. I have checked the stmp settings but still no mail.  What am I missing?

Have you tried to delete and then re-add the info back? Sometimes the account gets messed up and the easiest way to fix it is to start fresh

  • Cannot recieve my email but can send

Hi, I am a newby and in need of help.
I can send emails from my curve, but cannot recieve them. I have contacted vodaphone and done all the service pack stuff and confirmed that my account and email is set up correctly - but still no joy. It feels like there is a setting on the phone that is not picking up the emails. Could someone help and point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the help - but I'm still having problems. Email does arrive however there appears to be about a 5 hour delay. I set up an email address using the *@mobileemail.vodaphone.net but this still has the delay. If I send a nemail it goes almost immediately.
Very depressed and looking for help

Neil, my best advice, quite honestnly--get ride of the @mobilemail.vodaphone.net address and get a Gmail account. It has much better integration with the BlackBerry, and is more dependable. Plus the Gmail account can be used anywhere. If you ever change mobile phone carriers and leave Vodafone, you will loose your @mobilemail... address.

  • Cannot delete incoming email

    Unable to delete incoming email.

Ok. I found a solution. It makes your current trash inaccessible, but allows you to move forward with trashing messages
    go to Home > Mail > POP-xxxxx(your-email-addy)xxx >
and move the file named "Deleted Messages.mbox: out of the folder.
    Restart computer.
The old subject lines are still in your trash, but they will not open.
But now you can delete your current messages.
BEFORE YOU DO THIS..... You might try (in Mail) moving all your trash to a new folder named 2010Trash (or something) -- that might give you access to your old TRASHED messages. I can live without mine, so I didn't do this...

  • Cannot check incoming email on phone

need assistance,, on voice phone then trying to check phone email message,, is apple capable of accomplishing that task,,
talking on phone, switched to check mail and cannot..
    why not

Apple iPhone cannot use voice and data at the same time. AT&T and T-Mobile have that ability.
However on WiFi you can talk and do email. But not on cellular.
    Good Luck

  • I cannot receive incoming email but I can send?

Just got my new iphone 4s today.  I have set up mail accounts for my work emails.  I can send from these accounts but I am not receiving any incoming mail.  All my settings appear to be correct and I have even synced with outlook via itunes but still not joy.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Hi, Grandpaintraining.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues with mail.  I would also recommend checking with your email provider for security procedures such as two-step verification as this could cause this issue.

  • Why l cannot receive incoming emails even if have set all the informations correctly?

I have bought and registered a new email account, and l have set up all the informations on Mail (also with the technical support of my email provider) and there is no way to receive the emails.
I can send them in Outbound, but the Inbound id not working.
YES all the informations provided in Mail are correct!
My email provider said to contact Mac and ask for clarifications, because there is anything we can do from our end.
Can anybody explain why? All other accounts are working fine.
    Thank you.

What email app are you using?
What isp / mail server company you are using?
Turn off your firewall.   Perhaps your router in blocking the mail port.

  • Moved from iphone4s to samsung4s and now cannot recieve any email from iphone users????

I had to change my cel phone for work, IPhone4 to Samsung 4, Telus to Bell.
Now I cannot receive any test messages from ANY IPhone user. Their phone defaults to IM, not text.
I have de-registered my phone, turned off IM, but still no messages. Help

I have read all of these posts after switching from iPhone to galaxy s4 and this is the only process that I found to work:
Have iPhone user send you a text, it will send as imessage and you will not receive it.  Have that user then long press the message text (blue text) and an option will pop up to send as sms text.  Select it and it will send to your phone.  The iPhone user has to do the send as sms text 3-4 times consecutively then it will learn to send that way by default.  Has worked for 5 straight iPhone contacts so far.

  • Why is it that i cannot recieve an email from Firefox

I needed a password reset. Firefox sent. I did not receive. Did this 3 more times. No email. Tested my email. It works.

Your computer might be blocking from Firefox from sending emails to you. Look in all the folders that mail could be placed, like the trash or spam, and see if it was put there.

  • Incoming email from UNIX system not working

    Hi,
I have a weird issue with incomoing email in my SP2010 farm.
All is working well except for email being sent from a UNIX box.
We've enabled a list to receive emails.
When sending a mail from Outlook it is working fine, the email ends up in the SP list.
When sending a mail from the UNIX machine the email is never delivered to the list.
The list is configured to accept emails from any sender.
Any thought is welcome, I don't really know where to look for this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please make sure you have set the library to receive message from any sender.
Then please check the links below and see if you could find any related error message:

  • Getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail and cannot recieve or send mail to or from iCloud account apart from Apple emails!! Please help!

Since approx 7am GMT I've been getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail, worse though, since about 12 noon I cannot recieve or send mail to or from my iCloud account apart from I've been getting  emails from Apple (ie I've just received a welcome one from Apple Support Communities...)!! I've had this account for years, never had a problem - it can't be the OSX Mail server because the problem is the same when I log directly into iCloud. I've tried sending emails from my Hotmail account to my iCloud account (a .mac) and just get undeliverable messages back. I'm really in the s**t now at work. : (  I just set up a Smart TV yesterday with a wireless dongle - that's the only thing I've done out of the ordinary. I've spoken to Sky who are my ISP and they say all's fine with them (although the router kept kicking my off the internet this morning which was strange...). Router seems fine now though.  I'm really hoping someone here can help!!
    Many thanks!!

Do you think once Apple sort this out I'll get my missing emails back?

  • The message cannot be seen on incoming emails.  I can only view the message if I click on reply.  Also any links attached to email will not open.  I have tried everything to solve the problem but not able to.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
