I cannot register with a mobile network although the SIMM card is ok

I Unfortunately bought a new iPhone 5 after changing from an iPhone 4S after 1 week and 3 new SIMM cards I cannot get connected to my O2 network and we have tried the SIMM in a different phone and it works  I now have no phone and am at the end of the line with my useless iPhone 5 I have turned it on and off a million times to get a network but to no avail can some one please keep me sane and help rectify the problem thanks so much

Sounds like you purchased a gray market phone from an unauthorized distributor.
Call AppleCare and give them the serial number. They can tell you whether the phone is carrier locked or not.
It should still be under warranty if it wasn't hacked/jailbroken, physically damaged, etc. If it's actually an unlocked phone, take it in to the Apple Store and have them look at it.
If it's is actually a locked phone, then contact the carrier it's locked to or return it and get your money back.

    Try to reset Network setting thru (Setting/General/Reset/Reset Network Setting - after clicking on it the phone will ask to reboot)
    According to my R&D I have experienced that one must reset the network each time when we r at home or in office or other places, the phone after resetting the network setting acquires the area specific network setting n works well, try it & if any other solution do let me known
    Calling up customer care did not help me, they do keep us in a loop with the same old answeres that “Our technical team is working on it & WILL GET BACK TO u” leaving us with no solution at the end

    Try turning on Airplane mode for 30 seconds (Settings>Airplane Mode>ON), then off.  See if you can connect to 3G now.

    I have tried all the suggestions.  I cannot download the previous iOS and am sure that the update iOS 6 is the whole crux of the problem.  I cannot download as I cannot connect with the network.  Any suggestions?  I am a novice and need detailed help! 

    Is your N network using 5 GHz only?  The tech specs for the iPhone 4S lists that it can only connect to N networks at 2.4 GHz.  The iPad 2 specs do not list that restriction.

    We have an 11.2.0.1 oracle RAC with 2 nodes. Recently the listener died on node 1 and after a manual startup it seems like the service doesn't register with the listener on this node.

    The prd12 instance shows as registered with the listener on db02 but the prd11 doesn't on db01. Right now all connections are routed to the prd12 instance. Also trying to connect to prd11 manually returns "ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor". The prd11 instance is actually running and I can connect to it locally via 'sqlplis "/ as sysdba"' but not via 'sqlplus user/pass@prd1'. I'm wondering what went wrong and how to register the prd11 with the listener on db01.

    Everything worked just fine for quite some time until I found the listener down one morning and started it up manually. I wonder if I didn't start up the processes correctly. I did:

    $GRID_HOME/bin/srvctl stop listener
    $GRID_HOME/bin/srvctl start listener
    $GRID_HOME/bin/srvctl start scan

    Is this the correct way of starting up the listener processes?

    I cannot register a solaris 10 11/06 neither with updatemanager nor with sconadm. After some minutes, the applications fail with an "Authentication failed" message. The funny thing is that:
    - if I try to create another account with updatemanager, it says that my email address is already associated with an account...
    - if I click the "I forgot my password" link, an email is sent to me with the password reset. I login, I change my password again and when I retry, the registration fails again.
    Any hint?

    I'm running 1.5.0_08, so I'll upgrade my system and try again. By the way, I was reluctant to upgrade java because I didn't found a solaris package on http://java.sun.com/javase download page. I'll try and let you know.

  • Should I run wifi and my mobile network at the same time

    I have a verizon bb torch 9850.  In my office at work, I don't have very good signal but we do have wifi.  So, facebook is slow if it's accessible at all and my battery drains quickly.  I was told by one customer service rep to turn on my wifi connection so that it will run off that and not my mobile network.  Another customer service rep told me this would drain my battery more quickly because the two connections are working against each other.  Does any combination of coneections affect sms or mms ??? Just wondering if anyone has any input on the subject ??? thanks for your help !!!!

    I keep my wifi on all the time and don't find it to be a significant drain on battery life. Also, sms and mms run off the network connection so wifi being on or off wont affect that. I would be more concerned about the poor reception as a cause for the battery drain. Your Facebook and internet on your phone will work much faster with a good wifi connection. I also find the opposite is true where internet will work better over a good network connection than over a poor wifi connection. The problem with shutting off your network connection is that you won't receive phone calls or texts while its off. You will get the notifications for everything you missed once the network connection is restored. Maybe try the *228 thing at work and see if that improves reception. I don't believe the network and wifi connections compete with each other. However,  as long as wifi is on, it "looks" for wifi connections. This supposedly consumes some battery (I'm sure it does some), but i find it more convenient for me just to leave it on. There are also some settings changes that you can make that can have a substantial effect on battery life for your BlackBerry. You can find info on that in forums on the BlackBerry site and on Crackberry.com and probably even on here.
