I cannot remember the password that I used when I backed my phone up, now I am trying to transfer all of my old contact info from itunes to my new phone but it will not let me move forward without password. What can i do?

You can't bypass it and you can't reset it. You will have to have that ID and password in order to proceed.

I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

This is not Apple we are all users here
You will need to obtain the original Apple id ,that is the only way to unlock it
Speak to the original owner .If you cannot it is likely the iPhone was stolen and the activation lock is preventing use by a third party that is you

Your device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

You will need to remember or find the id that you used, without it you won't be able to re-activate your phone - if you are on the activation screen then does that show the first letter of the id and the email provider's name ?
Do you know if you have any of the account's downloads in computer's iTunes library - if you do then you can get the id form that : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name.
If not then see if you can find it via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.

I removed a password for a site that was not remembering the correct password for the "view password" window and now it does not guess the password and does not remember the password for that site. All other sites are being remembered.

The saved password feature worked well, but the site I had saved the password for required that I change the password. I have found no way to update the password in Firefox. After I deleted the saved password, Firefox did not ask if I wanted the new password saved. When this happened before, I removed and re-installed Firefox, and then it worked. I hope there is another way to update a password.

If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

Reset your password:
Insert the Leopard disc and hold the C key while your Mac is starting to start up from the DVD.
Choose your language, go to Utilities menu (on the menu bar) > Reset Password, select your user and change your password.
Go to  > Restart, eject the DVD by pressing the mouse during startup and update Mac OS X.

- Keychain (includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords you enter into websites and some applications)
If you encrypt the backup, you can transfer the keychain information to the new device. With an unencrypted backup, you can restore the keychain only to the same iOS device. If you're restoring to a new device with an unencrypted backup, you need to enter these passwords again.

I don't remember my iCloud username that i made when i set up my Iphone 4s. i do know my apple ID but according to my phone, it's not the same thing. When I sign onto icloud on my computer, it allows me to use my Apple id. Not on my phone though..

i love Ipad, and dont have much money to buy a brand new so i had to buy a second hand
i bought it from a Vietnamese girl by searching chotot.vn apps on internet on an android phone.
we met together at a coffee shop. i test ipad air run very well, so i paid her 8 million 400 vnd. and i checked her icloud account, i have seen nothing so i didn't restore it at that time.
when back home i restored it and it appeared the owner's account that asking me to sign in '' kich hoat ipad", i couldn't, i tried to give her many calls but she didn't answer me. now i feel i am tricked by her.
i just quickly run to Apple store in Saigon asking people for help, but they said if i have something to improve that is my ipad, sorry, i do not have anything, when i bought it from that girl i asked her the received she said she lost it , and her box she left in her countryside far away from Saigon.
now i see i am stupid and not good for technology, trust me , i love icloud as i have heard many people say it's good. but now i feel that is not good. i lost my money which i saved such a long time.
