I cannot render all of timeline in premiere elements 12

The playback of video freezes, while the sound continues to play,
There is the occassional showing of the yellow message 'media pending' and even after rendering for 14 hours there are breaks in the line indicating what has been rendered.
The material I am using is a mix of avi video files and jpeg still images.
Help would be appreciated

Why do I loose rendered footage from my timeline in Premiere Elements 10, after saving my project on exit! When I reopen the project, the timeline needs rendering again! Can anyone help me with this problem, it's driving me mad!
Is there a fix, or is it a problem with settings in the program! Any help, greatly appreciated! Mike's Media.

    Mike,
    Welcome to the forum.
Along with the answers to Steve's questions, please tell us about your computer's I/O sub-system, i.e. your computer's HDD's, and especially where the Project, the media and the PrE Scratch Disks are stored. For instance, if everything is on C:\, or perhaps the Project, media and Scratch Disks are all on an external USB 2.0 HDD.

  • Why I can't render m2ts files in Adobe premiere elements 9

I'm new working with adobe. I have a Sony Handycam HDR-CX700V. I am able to import the footage into the timeline, but am not able to render. The red line doesn't apear anywhere. When I choose render work area, the adio tracks and the vidio layers just move up and down as if am scrolling, and plays for abut a second and stops without rendering anything. The resolution of compoent on the camera is set at 1080i/480i. However, I try other video formats such as VOB and the red line is there and I'm able to render, but those videos were captured with an older model camera. My system consist of an Intel(R) PENTIUM (R) CPU 2.80GHZ 2.79 GHZ Memory (RAM) 5.00 GB System type: 32-bit Operationg System and it's a Windows Vista. Somebody pleas help me

Your camcorder shoots in a number of video and audio formats, so it's important first to determine which format you're shooting in. (You say it's shooting in 1080i/480i, but that's actually two very different formats!) If you plan to edit your video in Premiere Elements, it's important that you shoot only in either 1920x1080 at 60i or 1440x1080 at 60i. Do not shoot 1920x1080 in 24p or 60p or you're going to have problems! The 720x480 AVC will also likely give your trouble.
Once you've determined which format you're shooting in, it's important to ensure that the project settings you select when you set up your project match this video format! If you don't select, for instance, AVCHD settings for AVCHD footage, these components will not automatically activate for the program.
The biggest issue, however, is that your computer is way underpowered for working with hi-def video. In my books, I even recommend a dual-core computer for working with standard definition video. For working with AVCHD, I recommend an i7 or quad core processor. Trying to edit AVCHD on a Pentium will pretty much slow your system to a crawl if it works at all. Sorry.
Although you may be able to work with very short videos, if you've got plenty of free hard drive space (I'd recommend 50 gigabytes, at least), your project is set up to match your source video and you don't mind a lot of system lag.

  • How do I stop jerky video in timeline of premiere elements 12?

I have just purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (this software is new to me but I have watched a couple of videos). My video clip is slow and jerky in the time line and yes, there is a yellow line through it and no, rendering does not help. The clip plays fine from the window. I do not want to return the software but it is no use to me the way it is. I have Windows 8 Pro, Intel pertium Dual CPO E2180 @ 2.00GHz with 3.00GB RAM, 32-bit OS, x64-based processor.  I really need help.

    GmaShack
I am not in a position to comment on the 64 bit processor in the 32 bit operating system. It probably is an advantage than a disadvantage, yet you still have a 32 bit operating system which is still limited by maximum supported installed RAM = 4 GB of which typically 3 GB of that are available. Is it at all possible for you to go all 64 bit, with Windows 7 or 8 64 bit operating system*? If so, you would gain a big advantage having Premiere Elements 12 as a 64 bit application running in the 64 bit operating system. But, even then you want to get the installed RAM to at least 4 to 8 GB.
But, for the here and now, check the motherboard to see how many RAM slots you have and how much it can accept in the way of RAM modules. If you stay with the 32 bit operating system, total 4 GB RAM installed. Or is that what you have now...that is...is your 3 GB RAM reported installed or available RAM? Do you have 4 GB RAM already installed?
What are the properties of our source media for your project...standard definition, standard or widescreen, or high definition 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080? What is the typical duration of the projects that you intend to create.
And could you clarify what you mean by
My video clip is slow and jerky in the time line and yes, there is a yellow line through it and no, rendering does not help. The clip plays fine from the window.
I would agree with Ann Bens, that your machine is underpowered for HD tasks. But, you might be able to handle short term HD projects as well as SD projects with tight control over resources, detouring scratch disks et al to an external hard drive for one aspect of the computer resources issues of available RAM and free hard drive space.
Then we should not forget the usual drill of is your video card driver up to date according to the web site of the video card manufacturer?
And, we need clarification on "The clip plays fine from the window." What window?"  Where is the clip slow and jerky? Please distinquish between Edit Mode monitor, Preview Window within the program and playback of the export in a player.
And, we should rule in or out whether the project is set up correctly, that is, what project preset is being selected and does it match the properties of the source media??
Please review the above considerations. Then we can try to put the discussion exchanges into perspective to help you move forward in your Premiere Elements 12 projects.
Please do not hesitate ot ask if you need clarification on anything that I have written.
    Thanks.

*For Premiere Elements 10, 11, or 12 to be a 64 bit application on Windows, it is written that it must be running on Windows 7 or 8 64 bit specifically. That means to me operating system, not processor. Until proven otherwise, regarding your 32 bit operating system with a 64 bit processor, that is my take on your specific situation in this regard.

  • Cannot re-install PSE 8 or Premiere Elements 8

My old desktop died (likely the result of an electrical storm), and so I purchased a new computer.    Luckily I backup regularly.
I cannot reinstall PSE from my backup drive because I get an 'Licensing for this product has stopped working' and 'error 6' 'call Adobe Support'.
I went into my files and pulled the original installation disc.  Disc 1 is unreadable - the CD/DVD player does not recognize it at all.   I verified it was the disk (and not the CD/DVD player) by trying it on a second computer.  I found this strange since this disc has only been used once and it has been stored in its original case in a temperature controlled area, although on closer inspection it has a  circular discoloration on portions of it.
I contacted Adobe Support, and while they can verify my registration, serial number, etc., they cannot help me with the issue since Elements 8 is no longer supported and no downloads are available.   When I look at my (new) hard drive, it appears that all is in order (file directory, etc.).
    Suggestions?

Can you please check the folder permissions for the following folder:
    On Windows:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache
    On Mac
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD/cache
It seems this folder is set as Read-Only ( as per the error code 6 mentioned by you ).
If the folder is read only, please make it read-write by everyone.
Once done, try launching the product again.

  • Cannot load media from organizer into premiere elements 9.0

I have spent the majority of the day trying to load media into a new project in premiere elements to edit the video. When I select the video and click edit in premiere elements, premiere opens but no media is available. It never loads the videos. I can review the videos including sound in elements organizer. I have a Canon Vixia HFS10, the file types were loaded directly to the harddrive of the computer as .mts. I have changed the presets for the type and that doesnt seem to help. I have updated premiere 9.0, disabled security, updated windows (vista).
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,

Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 on Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit?)
Let us try the following before we get into an extensive exchange of problem details.
Your Elements Organizer 9 .mts video that you are trying to import as media into a Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project is only a thumbnail that traces back to the source video which exists saved to a computer hard drive location.
What happens if you open a new project (with project preset set to match the properties of this particular video) and import this .mts video from the hard drive save location into the new project with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1's Get Media/Files and Folders? Does the video import into the project?
As an aside, do you have any other versions of Premiere Elements installed on your computer besides Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1? Also, is this a "it worked before, but now" or "it never worked before" problem?
We will be watching for your follow up results.
    Thank you.

  • Cannot find Gymnastics menu templates in Premiere Elements 7

I am looking for a Gymnastics menu for Premiere Elements 7.
    CraginJohn

    Welcome to the forum.
If there is nothing in the included Templates, then I can only recommend that you look on Muvipix.com, as they have many additional, custom Menu Sets, though I do not recall a gymnastics set - but have never needed one. If you find what you do need there, there are two ways to get it - pay for the Menu Sets that you need, or subscribe to Muvipix.com, and then download everything, including the music, Menu Sets, etc., from that subscription.
Good luck, and hope that you find what you are looking for.

PS - I would also post to the Premiere Elements Forum (Community) at Muvipix.com, as many subscribers there know of additional sources, and also do a lot of school sports themed DVD/BD projects, and might have other resources for you.

  • Cannot view all of Timeline anymore

    Hello,
I'm very new to Flash 8. I have a template I've been playing
with that has several different sections. About us, Contact us,
    Services, etc.
Along the way, I must have clicked on something to change my
Timeline view. I can play the first part of my video without any
problem, but I can no longer continue scrolling to bring up the
other pages I have created like I once was able to do. I'm done
editing my first page, but now I can't move onto the other ones. I
apologize for the simple question..I've just clicked on something
here that is no longer letting me view everything to edit it.
When I click on File, Publish Preview, and Flash, the Flash
movie comes up normally and I can see all of my different sections
correctly. So I know the sections are still there, but I"m just not
able to view them for some reason.
    Thanks!

  • Locking audio to timeline in Premiere Elements

I'm creating a slideshow with pan-and-zoom as well as imported video clips.  I've created a "soundtrack" with imported music in Audio Tracks 2 and 3 and manually "mixed" the music so that the audio clips appear "staggered" on the timeline (i.e., one partial song in Track 2, next partial song in Track 3, next partial song in Track 2, etc.).  I manually entered beat markers for all of my anticipated video edits (as I have done for all my NLE software projects on other platforms).  However, whenever I shorten a video clip, the entire contents of audio tracks 2 and 3 shifts to the left correspondingly.  And, of course then my beat markers for the rest of the project don't line up.  This is completely maddening.  I can not find a way to "pin" or "lock" the audio tracks to the timeline. There isn't even any accompanying video for these tracks -- just music.  Every time I shorten a clip to match the beat, Elements "outsmarts" me and moves all future audio out of sync. And I have to shorten each clip because, for stills, the clip duration is set when the stills are "imported" to the project.  There must be a way to toggle off this free-floating audio.  Any thoughts...?  I'd be grateful...!

    Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, PrE does not allow Locking Tracks, like PrPro does. I have requested this feature for several years, and for each new PrE release, as I feel it is very important and useful.
I usually am adding my soundtrack as the last thing I do, just before I Export/Share, so it does not bother me that much, but doing what you are, or if one is doing a music video, then being able to Lock those Audio Tracks (I Lock Video Tracks in PrPro often too), would be such a useful feature.
Let's look for a way to get what I think you want, as a few additional steps might make your life a bit easier. You have your "mixed" Audio Clips on two separate Audio Tracks. You have them edited, as you want. I would think about Exporting/Sharing JUST the Audio to a PCM/WAV file @ 48KHz 16-bit. That will effectively mix your two Tracks of Audio into one stereo file. Then, you can Import that output file into your Project, replacing the two Tracks of Audio Clips. Being one file, it will not move, when you edit your Video. Two things to consider: in that output file, you will most likely loose your Beat Markers, but can add those back, and when you go to edit any Clips, that are "covered" by other Clips, some of the edit functions do not work, quite as they did when they were not covered, such as Delete and Close Gap - the gap will not close. It would be the same, if you had a Video Clip above the one that you were editing. Still, for most editing functions, that should not be an issue, but it will depend on how you have edited your Clips to that point. For Stills, you can Ripple Edit, and change the Duration up/down, as needed. If you are working with Video Clips, and have enough extra Frames (referred to as Handles, when dealing with Transitions), you can do the same with them. If they do not have adequate Frames, then you might have to shuffle things around a bit.
By Exporting/Sharing the Audio to a single file, you have, in essence, Locked that Audio Track.
As a side-note, some users have encountered issues with both of the Fixed Audio Tracks, Soundtrack and Narration. The usual "fix" is to just use one of the free "regular" Audio Tracks - just exactly as you have done already. I refrain from using Soundtrack, or Narration (though I have never had those problems), because so many others have reported them.
Good luck, and maybe we will all get lucky, and Adobe WILL honor some feature requests for Track Locking.

  • Have Windows 8- Cannot get a responce from Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Disc.? What is wrong?

Have loaded my disc of Elements 11 (Adobe Premiere) into a new computer HP Pavilion 20 Vision with Windows 8, and I receive not responce.  What am I doing or not doing that is wrong?

    Bruce,
What I am about to suggest does not prohibit us from continuing troubleshooting here, but it might be a good idea to involve Adobe Technical Service in this installation issue. As far as I have ever known, it offers free installation troubleshooting for purchased, registered, current version. It is worthwhile to check it out. It may have some undocumented information that will get you moving forward in your Premiere Elements projects.
Was it an Apple Store purchased Premiere Elements 11 Mac that would not install for you? From where did you download the Premiere Elements 11 Mac first time around?
Apparently your latest report is based on download of the tryout from Adobe (a good troubleshooting move).
I am strictly an Elements Windows user. From what I have read, installing an application on a Mac is supposed to be quick and easy as compared to the counterpart on Windows. So, very disturbing to learn of all your problems with Premiere Elements 11 Mac.
We need to attract the attention of some Premiere Elements 11 Mac users here or at Adobe.
I did some online researches. Sample below

    That permissions angle looks interesting.

  • How do I correct the error; "PluginCoder error: no pligin DLLs" when attempting to burn a DVD with Premiere Elements 13

I just upgraded to PE 13 - removed PE12 prior to installing PE13 and now I cannot burn a DVD on my Win 7 Pro 64bit PC.  In my first attempt at burning a DVD PE 13 did not see the DVD burner - drive "z:".  I have a WD MyBook 4TB USB HD and had Security configured which created a Virtual CD on the drive.  I disabled the virtual CD and rebooted.  This time PE13 recognized the DVD burner but when trying to burn a DVD I received the No DLLs message and had to cancel the burn.  I tried the burn again and the DVD burner was no longer recognized.
I then removed PE13 and reinstalled it - no errors during the install.  Tried again and same result - no DLLs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    PRE_help
For Premiere Elements user, I would make note that the presets for burn to disc cannot be customized by the user within the program.
    a. The second thread that you pointed rkclarke36 to does talk about resolving this issue by changing the burn to disc frame rate from
24 fps to 30 fps. But, that was for Premiere Pro, not Premiere Elements. In Premiere Pro, can the user really customize an Adobe burn to disc
    preset?
    For Premiere Elements
If the burn to is to DVD disc for DVD-VIDEO, the user is
confined to two frames rate, 25 interlaced frames per second or 29.97 interlaced frames per second. But, he/she cannot change the frame rate
    within the preset.
If the burn to is to DVD disc for AVCHD DVD, the user again meets different presets, but cannot change the frame rate within the preset. For Premiere Elements 13 burn to AVCHD disc, the presets are
    Premiere Elements 13
    H.264 1440 x 1080i NTSC Dolby
    H.264 1440 x 1080i PAL Dolby
    H.264 1440 x 1080p NTSC Dolby
    H.264 1920 x 1080i NTSC Dolby
    H.264 1920 x 1080i PAL Dolby
    H.264 1920 x 1080p NTSC Dolby
Except for the two 1080p presets with frame rate of 23.976 progressive frames per second, the other presets all have a frame rate of 29.97 interlaced frames per second NTSC or 25 interlaced frames per second.
    b. Mark has not yet offered the details of the Timeline content (video and/or stills) being taken to burn to DVD-VIDEO or AVCHD DVD. So, frame size as per your first mentioned link might be an avenue to pursue. I would include that with all my testing of Premiere Elements 4 to 13, I have not gotten this particular dll error
    with any oversized stills.

  • How do I output the program monitor from Premiere Elements 13 to an external TV monitor?

I can find information about dual monitor set ups, but is it possible to output the program monitor only to an external monitor?
    If so, what is needed?
I'm using PE`3 on a PC with Windows 7  64 bit  with an NVIDIA Quadro NVS 290.
    Thanks

Have not found a way, but....
Do you have a HDMI cable and does your computer and TV each have a HDMI port.
The TImeline panel appears to be the only undockable panel in the Premiere Elements 13/13.1 Expert workspace area (Window Menu/Dual Monitor)
The best I can do is to make a HDMI connection between the HDMI ports of my computer and TV, with display at Duplicate or Extend. That does not appear to be what you seek.
The other part of all this is that Premiere Elements used to have a "Playback Settings" in Project Settings and accessed from
right clicking the Edit area monitor. That is no longer to be found in 13.1, even in a grayed out state. And, for me, the Playback Settings could not be made visible
when attaching a 3rd party device.
In the days of Premiere Elements 11, the answer to your question might have been as described in the following
Adobe Premiere Elements 11 * Previewing movies
Until proven otherwise, I am thinking that it cannot be done in Premiere Elements 13/13.1. But, I am not at a stage where I would put a never and always stamp on this.

  • Opening Premiere Elements Project In Premiere Pro

I am evaluating (and just starting to learn) Premiere Pro CS5. I have a project I've done in Premiere Elements 7, and understand I can open this in Premier Pro. When I do this, it wants to convert the project, which I say ok to. However, after this, it opens showing the various clips, etc. in the project window, but there is nothing in the timeline window.
I was expecting/hoping that all the timelines from the Elements project would transfer over - is that supposed to happen?
Thanks for any assistance on this.

When on Imports a Project, the Sequence's Timeline is usually in a Bin. Twirl open the Bins, until you find that, and then Dbl-click on it. That should open the Timeline.
Good luck, and remember that there are elements in PrE, that will not translate to PrPro, such as Instant Movies, Themes, and several Transitions and Effects, such as those from New BlueFX, as they do not exist in PrPro. Otherwise, you should be able to Convert the PREL to a PRPROJ file, and edit it. Note: you cannot go the other direction, from PrPro to PrE.
Enjoy you tests, and also remember that if you have the trial, nothing MPEG will work.

    Agrippina41
Please confirm if you have been creating your slideshow only in the Premiere Elements 12 Editor where you also do the burn to disc or whether you are creating the slideshow in the Elements Organizer 12 Slideshow Editor and transferring it to Premiere Elements from there. I have looked at a small slideshow with no enhancements coming out of the Elements Organizer 12 and cannot find any difference in the Premiere Elements burn time if Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor slideshow was a wmv (Burn To Disc) or non wmv (Edit with Premiere Elements Editor). And even if I took the same photos, imported them Premiere Elements Editor, the burn time was not much different than the burn to of the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor offerings.
Although all those burn times were about the same, from my calculations, they were about 1/2 of the burn time you are getting for your slideshow.
For a 24 seconds Timeline content (no added effects) here, the burn time was 3 minutes and 47.2 seconds. Whereas you reported a 24 minute sample needing a burn
time of 6 or 7 hours.
So, what do we look at next...
    a. What is the speed rating on your DVD burner 4X, 8X, 16X or other.
    I used 6x - 8X
    b. What is the speed rating on the DVD disc that you are using
    I used a DVD-RW 2X  4.7 GB 120 minutes
    c. What type of effects did you apply to the slideshow?
If the slideshow that you took to Premiere Elements was from the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor's Output Burn to Disc, please see what results
if you select Edit with Premiere Elements Editor.
Also, if you do a burn to folder instead of burn to disc, is that still close to a 7 hour total process?
    Is your burner updated?
We will compare notes on this in the morning.
Thank you for your follow ups.
