I just migrated to firefox from IE. Looks as I might have to go back to IE to use email!

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and click History button, and then Clear Recent History... .
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Cannot find outgoing mail server (smtp) for my email account.

I am trying to set up my college email account and cannot find the smtp sever. I contacted IT at my school and they said they had no idea what I was talking about... I know that it uses microsoft outlook.. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could find the server. (I did however find the mailgate and entered my username and password)

It sounds like your school might be utilizing an Exchange server. You may want to ask if it is possible to access the server via IMAP, and if so what to use for incoming and outgoing server settings.

Cannot reply to or compose new e-mails messages.

I recently had to rebiuld my computer due to virus and everyhting was wiped out. I am using Windows XP. For some reason I cannot ly to a message set to me nor can I compose a new message from scratch. All other websites work fine and I wa susing the same XP for the past 2 years I have been using Verizon DSL. I have the latest IE 8 installed and am running Java and Flash.
Overseas tech support told me to reset my internet settings and that doesn't fix it. They then told me that my browser is bad. How can it be when I am using the updated one?

When I use Firefox as my browser and go into email the font on my screen is so small that you can hardly read it. I cannot make it larger, even going into the email account and enlarging the font? Help!!! It is only happening on email.

By accessing my account through one of the suggested addresses, then re-entering my username and password which creates a new bookmark, has allowed me to open a document which was attached in an email.

For the last three days I cannot delete/ reply/ forward or move messages in my Yahoo account once I open them. This only happens when i access the account on my macbook (safari or mozilla firefox) - the account works fine on my dell desktop so the problem is not with Yahoo. Any suggestions?

After opening an email message in Yahoo, when I click on the "delete/reply/forward/move" buttons at the top of the message, nothing happens - no drop down menu for inline text/attachment, etc. Normally, I just need one click to execute any of these functions. Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts? If so:
1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane. This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.
