I cannot restore back my data to my Q5 ! PELASE HELP

im in the middle of a huge problem where i have become desperate and lost, here is how it all began, first of all i received an alert that a new update is available for my Q5 which is 10.2.1537 when i started to downloanding it i received an error that built in memory is full WHICH IS NOT! secondly i thought in order to get the latest update i had resolve this memory error by WIPING OFF the mobile so i did a FULL DATA BACK UP while it was running OS 10.2.0.424 , and then DID the full WIPE, but it took around 6 HOURS!!!! after the wiping process i tried to download the new update 10.2.1537 and it was successful, i connected my q5 to my laptop and opened blackberry link (latest version) selected the BACK UP FILE which i made before the wipe , BUT IT WAS UNSUCCESSFULL ( the alert message was this : this dats file isn't compatible with the version of the device software that you are currently running, update your device software and try again) WHICH i did downgrade to the previous version OS 10.2.0.424 and tried to restore the data file, but it WOULDNT WORK! please HELP im in desperate need for your help ive got my whole life on this mobile and right now im isolated!
the following day what happened is, i did try what was mentioned in the link BlackBerry 10. Restoring Backup after a firmware downgrade. i did exactly the same but it FAILED, and i got this error (there could have been a problem with the device or connection during the restore. Verify that the device is turned on and connected) and then device restarts afterwards, hence, i started to get this error message after i updated to latest OS 10.2.1.539 but when i tried to restore the back up when i was running the previous OS 10.2.0.424 the error message was ( the back up isn't compatible etc... ) this is really confusing, my device is working just fine and its properly connected with no problems, ive been searching and looking for solutions all over the internet but no luck , im really exhausted ive been working on my q5 for almost 26 hours, im just praying to get this fixed.

Same Here..after upgrade won't restore, I did backup with blackberry link and it was a successfull backup..I brought it to the service centre and ask the to restore it for me with no success as well..they even downgrade my phone to 10.1...no success..please find the bug on your OS or BlackBerry LINK to fix this..my data is very important to me..BTW BlackBerry protect also doesn't do a proper backup..only my previous BlackBerry (OS 7) backup is available for restore..this is the second time I lose data to BlackBerry (before was in my Dakota)...

  • Why i cannot restore back after software update?, why i cannot restore back after software update?, why i cannot restore back after software update?

Why i cannot restore back after update software?

    What does "restore back" mean?
If it means go backwards to some earlier version of iOS, then Apple has never allowed that.
If it means reload the contents of your iPhone after doing a software update, you should be able to do that.

  • Cannot restore back-up from laptop to BB Z10 device

Due to my phone, BB Z10,hanging up when working with it I opted to re-set it to factory settings. Prior to doing this I've ensured that I make a FULL back-up to my laptop of the phone content. After re-setting the phone I wanted to restore the backed-up data but without success. I've made sure that the BB ID as well as the BB Link log-on info is the same but still I can't restore my data! It keep on saying "BlackBerry ID on your device does not match" I cannot understand this as I'm using the exact same log in info on both devices (laptop & BB)!!! Please help?

Try logging in here:   www.blackberry.com/blackberryid   if you can then maybe you made a typo when you entered your info on the computer.
If you cannot login then maybe you made a typo on the phone and you will have to Wipe it again.

  • Help, how to restore backed-up data from old 3GS to my new 3GS?

Hi I recently got a replacement phone, and when i synced it to iTunes, the prompt to restore my backed-up data came up. However when I tried to restore, it prompted me to update my new phone's software to 3.1 first.
So now, after updating my software, how do I restore the data from my old phone?
Coz the first prompt does not appear anymore.
    Would appreciate your feedback, thanks!

Upgrade to 3.1 first, do not sync or backup. After you upgrade, reconnect & select restore from previous backup & all your data will be put back on the new phone.
When you right click on your phone under devices in the right column, one of your choices will be restore from backup.

  • Restoring backed up data after Win7 recovery

did a total recovery from the HP Support Assistant - first backed up files to external hd thru same  restarted computer as instructed, am ready to put back all my stuff from the external HD - HOW DO I DO THAT PROPERLY?  I look at the external and I'm not sure how to do it.  HELP please?  I dont want to flub this up as I've done before and made things worse!!! thanks so much for your help asap!

Thank you randers4 and Eric Ross. The only problem is that i did this because of the following error:
"To: Clash of Clans. "When I first started on my iPad I didn't log in to game centre (but I thought I had). Then I downloaded it on my iPhone and followed the steps to register, and thus created two games...the one on my iPad which was far advanced and the one on my phone which I had played once but was registered. Now, whenever I play on my iPad it asks to sync with game centre (which I want to do so I don't lose my game but it will be overwritten with the phone game, which I dont want."
And i followed their advice which was:
"If you wish to start another game, you need to reset your device - please use this with caution as you will lose all data from the device.
In order to reset your device safely, please follow the steps below:
    1) Go to settings
    2) Go to iCloud
    3) Go to Storage & BackUp
    4) Go to "BackUp now"
    5) Go back to settings and go to "general"
    6) Go to "reset"
    7) Go to "erase all content & settings"
After the reset is done and your device starts up again, it is very important that you do not load your back-up immediately.
    8) Skip the Backup (click on "later")
    9) Go to the App Store
    10) Download Clash of Clans
    11) Log in through Game Center and start a new game
    12) Go back to settings / iCloud and load the back-up to get all your files back"
As you can see, i was not supposed to restore back up during the set up process. i just hoped there was another way - or maybe i'm misreading the instructions.

  • How to restore backed up data of another iPhone?

Please help me out. I connected my friend's iPhone to my iTunes and it offered to update the software on it. I decided to update as my friend had never than that before. And, now I am in trouble, cause all his data is gone. I mean all... before it was synchronizing it said that it was backing up the data ... does anyone know how to find this data? Because my iTunes has only the data for my iPhone ...
    Thank you

Go to iTunes preferences. Is there a backup listed under the Devices tab for your friend's iPhone?
If so, your friend needs to restore his iPhone with iTunes from the backup for his iPhone.
When restoring, his iPhone will be erased and the firmware will be re-installed. After the firmware is re-installed, you will be prompted to restore the iPhone from an available backup - which is the default selection. If the backup for his iPhone is not selected, you can select it from the pop-up.
The backup includes data such as most iPhone settings, email account settings, contact info, SMS messages, notes, recent calls, call favorites, photos that were in the iPhone's camera roll, and 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only, and photos can be transferred to an iPhone from a single computer only.
If the backup for his iPhone is available and restored, do not sync his iPhone. He will need to sync his iPhone with the iTunes library on his computer to re-transfer his selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps.

  • Restoring backed up data to another mac

i have backed up all my files from my macbook on time machine, but now i want to put that data on to a macbook pro. When i open time machine on the pro, there's no data there. please help

    you have two options.
    1. run Migration assistant on the new computer. It's in /Applications/Utilities. It lets you migrate your user data and applications from a TM backup. this is the best and the easiest option.
    2. use TM in a browse mode to selectively restore what you want by hand. to do that control-click on TM in the dock and select 'browse other TM backups". it will let you browse your old TM backups and restore what you want where you want to.
Either way when you are done you should set up TM on the new computer again in TM system preferences. it will start a new backup sequence and you'll be able to access it normally.

  • Restore - back up data and files

I have backed up my hard drive to a LaCie Extreme HD. However, I now need to restore to my mac HD as I had to wipe the Mac HD due to hardware problems. It seems that LaCie do not provide restore capability for OSX10.4 I have managed to copy iPhoto pictures to iPhoto but have been unable to copy the many albums. I have thousands of photos with no albums. Is there a file which contains album information I can copy to iphoto?

The iPhoto Library folder contains the data files that structure your albums and folders within iPhoto, so the best thing to do is to put the folder called iPhoto Library into your Pictures folder in your Home folder, then launch iPhoto while holding down the Option key and point iPhoto to the iPhoto Library folder.

  • Cannot restore back as password error, cannot restore back as password error

HI I AM NOT ABLE TO RESTORE MY BACK UP FORM TEH COMPUTER , IT IS ASKING ME FOR A PASSWORD AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE PASSWORD IS , IT NEVER ASKED ME FOR THSI BEFORE

If the backup you're trying to restore from is encrypted, you will not be able to use that backup if you can't remember the encrypted backup passcode.
If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your data is unrecoverable.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.

  • Cannot restore backed up files

    Hi,
I need help to restore my old Users folder, which I backed up, using Backup 3, onto six DVD/Rs., just before I did an Erase and Install of Tiger last weekend. I did not have enough iDisk storage to accommodate the 20 GB Users folder but Backup let me go ahead and put it on the 6 discs. After the reinstall I find that both Backup and Disk Utility will only restore the first disc. How can I get all 6 accepted to rebuild the Users folder?
    Regards

  • Restoring backed up data to iPhone 4S

I have reset an iPhone 4S to factory settings by mistake. There should be a backup on the iMac. How do I restore it on the iPhone?
    Thank you, Federico

If you had backed up the device to iTunes, connect the device, select it, and then select Restore Backup from the Summary page. Then select the dated backup.
