I cannot restore my tabs when Firefox opens

I'm trying to set Firefox to open the tabs from my previous session, but it just goes to my homepage, which is Google. I'd like the tabs I have open to be saved.
I've set the Option to have it save my tabs each time, but that doesn't seem to have any effect. Anything else I can try?

If you use [[Clear Recent History]] in Firefox 3.5 and later or [[Clearing private data|Clear Private Data]] in Firefox 3 to clear the 'Browsing History' when Firefox is closed then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.
Make sure that you not run Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode.
You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing".

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I set up an App Tab the original tab and the App Tab are both there when Firefox opens next time. I have tried saving the current tabs, etc but that doesn't help.

I had this problem after I installed an update for Java. Firefox also stopped remembering my open tabs from last time. I disabled all of the Java plug-ins, restarted, and it's worked great ever since. Haven't missed Java yet either.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Why is there a blank tab when I open firefox when there wasn't one before?

How can I stop firefox from opening multiple tabs when I open the browser.

Did you perform the fixes from the "Preferences not saved" article?
Try to delete or rename/move the prefs.js file and other possible prefs-##.js with a number and user.js files in the Firefox Profile Folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Make sure that Firefox isn't running when you delete files in the profile folder.

UAC keeps popping up when firefox opens new tab or window

Since of today everytime when i open firefox UAC keeps popping up.
I dont want to dissable UAC so i hope there is an solution for this problem.

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.
If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator.

App Tabs open as full tabs when Firefox 8 restarts?

I've a few pinned App Tabs... and they all open as normal tabs when I restart Firefox?
So, now whenever I start Firefox, I'll have 4 small App Tabs on the left and 4 repeat app tabs open as normal tabs, a total of 9 tabs (including my home page)!?

I've just solved this problem....
The problem started when I set my home page... with all the App Tabs in place...
When I clicked "Use Current Pages" (didn't notice the 's' on Pages), it actually set all (including the App Tabs) tabs as my home pages....
So, when Firefox restarts, it opens all the tabs as home page!

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
