I cannot search anyhting on firefox it always open a new tab only, how can i solve this ?

i cannot type any words only the first letter.Everytime i type a letter T firefox opens a new tab and if i try to type a word starting with s it opens a window to save.the search bar doesn't even show the letter i type.I cannot do anything with firefox.Even i cant type google or anything.i don't know how to fix this.Please help.Thank you.

hello, this sounds a bit as if the ctrl-key on your keyboard is constantly pressed - maybe it's a hardware issue, can you try with a different keyboard?

Firefox is my default browser, yet Bing appears when opening a new tab. How can I stop this?

I have set Firefox as my default browser with Google as my default search engine. I have eliminated Bing from the drop-down list in Firefox of alternate engines. However, when I am browsing and open a new tab, the Bing search window page appears. Google is still in the search line at the top of the page.
I want Google to be the search engine that appears, not Bing.

Why does firefox zoom in when I open a new tab? How can I disable this?

How do I ensure that Firefox will ALWAYS open a new tab instead of a new window?

My prefs are set to “open new windows in a new tab instead” of a new window but exporting a page from another application always opens the page in a new window instead of a new tab. This is particularly unproductive when building and comparing multiple web pages.

The firefox theme(Lava V1-purple) I installed does not show permanently its background image because it quickly disappears when I click a new tab.. how can i fix this???

I want my background, that is provided by the theme, to stay pemanently when i click the new tab button because the white background for a new tab is totally not my style..

Running Windows 7. All updates of Firefox after 5.0 do not work. How can I solve this. Tried several trouble shoot solutions already. They are not working. Pages will not load in new versions

pages just won't load in versions after 5.0. They load fine in any other browser, including Firefox 5.0. I'd really like to upgrade.

I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. It might have something to do with Proxies. Have a look in System Preferences>Network, click on your network - either ethernet or wifi - and click on the Proxies tab. Anything selected in there. If so deselect and then try.
Have you tried using another brrowser, maybe Chrome or Firefox?

Is your homepage getting changed to the same URL every time you open Firefox?
What's happening sure sounds like you picked up some Malware, , that you may not be aware of, along with a homepage changer of some type.

Sorry about that. It might be that '''both''' your homepage and the Firefox Start page are set as your homepage.
Here's how to reset your homepage:
# Open your homepage and close any other tabs
# Click the [[Image:New Fx Menu]] menu button and click ''Preferences''
# In the Preferences Window click ''General''
# Click the ''Use Current Pages'' button
