I cannot see the channels of my audio interface!!!

I have a Alesis Multimix8USB as an audio interface, in the instruction manual it says that to install the driver in a mac OSX it only requieres to be connected....everything is ok, the problem is that when i want to record real intruments is that in the information pannel of the track, in the, "IN" there only appear two mono channels and one stereo, and my mixer has 4 mono channels 2 stereo, i only once (i dont know what i did) saw all the channels, but i dont know what i did, then i went to preferences and changed the audio preferences ( IN, OUT) to see what happened, and then i got them back as they were before, and now it dosnt shows all the channels.
My configuration is set so that the IN and OUT in garageband are used with the USB Codec for the mixer, also i went to system preferences/audio and set all for the USB Codec, and also in the Midi/Audio utilities folder.
But it still dosnt show all the channels, any ideas of what could i do?
This is a problem because i have tried to record multiple intruments in diferent channels it dosnt work, i can only record two of them and they are recorded in both tracks, setting them to mono 1, mono 2.

so i cannot record more than two intruments at the same time?
It's an 8x2 interface, so you can record up to 8 channels, but the "mixer" mixes them down to a stereo OUT.
If i choose in garage band one instrument to channel mono 1 and the other
to channel mono 2 they are both recorde in both channels.
You have to pan one channel full left and the other full right on the mixer.

Cannot see Airport Express as an Audio Output option!

Hello All,
Very frustruating.
I bought an AirPort Express hoping to use it as a Audio output device for movies/spotify etc.
Plugged it all in to my reciever (using optical cable) configured it to my TC network.
Opened itunes and the Airplay function is working perfectly. Music is streaming as expected.
However i cannot see the AE in the audio output options (when i "option+click" the speaker icon).
Tearing my hair out as this was the primary reason for purchasing the AE!
any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Trying to play movies through VLC and stream the Audio component to my AirPort express. Similary use Spotify on my computer and stream the audio component.
I thought i would be able to enable my laptop (Macbook Air) to use the Airport Express as its 'speakers' through selecting it as the output source in System preferences.
However it does not show up in the system preferences at all, what has me stumped is the Airport Express is 100% functional through itunes as well as some third party applications (Airfoil).
Im very confused as other users (from extensive google searching) appear to be able to atleast see the AirPort Express as an output device.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The tracks are from voice recordings that were downloaded from an extrernal drive and weren't necessarily tagged as spoken audio. Do I need to go back into itunes and relabel these tracks so they will show up on my ipad2?

With the iPad connected to the computer, while iTunes is running, click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Movies tab and look for Movie Rentals. You want to "Move" the films to the iPad.

Never mind, problem solved. When I retunred to the Network tab the message had changed to "connected, no IP address" so I got that from the WiFi tab and configured the Ethernet manually. Have a nice day @:-)#

Paste from Illustrator to Photoshop, I cannot see the pasted object

Sorry for this dumb question but I have tried everything I can think of before asking this question. I have a single grouped object in Illustrator and I select the object and "Copy". Then I open up a new photoshop project and choose "Paste". Then I get four questions:
Smart Object, Pixles, Path and Shape Layer to choose from. No matter which one I choose I get a large box with an X. I cannot see the object just the box that is x'd out. This must mean something but I cannot figure it out. When I place it dissapears.
Please what is the secret to pasting objects into Windows Photoshop CS4?

Magically, pasting started working. Maybe, my computer was running out of memory or something.

I upgraded to iOS8 on my iphone and now cannot see the thumbnails of my pictures when I try to download onto my computer.

I have an iphone 4 and an HP Pavillion with windows 7. I always have been able to connect my iphone to my laptop and open
the DCIM folder and see the picture icons so I can pick the ones I want to download. After upgrading to iOS8 I cannot see the icons after a
few seconds of connecting the phone to the computer. They all turn into the windows icon.
I do not want to try the icloud for windows control panel unless I can pick the pictures that will be transferred. I don't want all the pictures I take on my computer.

User cannot see the "-" signs on amounts in ALV report

Hi all,
We have a problem with a user, who cannot see the signs on the amounts in an ALV report:

The user has tested this report with his user, and another test user, on his computer and on another computer. It does not change anything, he cannot see the signs "-" on the amounts.
But when I launch the same report on the same client, I cann see the signs:

So, I think it does not come from his user (he has tested with two different users), or from his computer (he has tested on two different computers).
Do you have any ideas?

Having seen and "played" with an NB100-12a the other day I must agree that the grey letters on black keys
aren't a clever idea - its bad enough that the keys are so small also.
I currently own a satellite Pro with which I am very happy ( apart from the inclusion of Windows Vista which I
don't particularily like ) and found this machine easy to "drive" BUT due to the keyboard size and lettering
I won't be buying one ( unless they do a redesign - an acer aspire one keyboard and touchpad or NC10 style
design ) and I think that the price of these machines has recently dropped from approx £300 to approx £270
due to poor take up by the public mainly for the above reasons.
Sorry Toshiba looks like i'll be buying an NC10 - unless I hear of a possible redesign.#

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

New install Express on Win 8 can see the Server name but cannot see the instance

I am doing this over the phone with a client who is not sure what he is doing we have installed Ok the folders exist and we have enabled TCP/IP
The instance is MSSQLServer when we try to connect all we get is 'ComputerName' I am expecting 'ComputerName \MSSQLServer'
The user does not have administrator rights and he installed SQL Server without the administrator (I think, I am not sure he knows)
I am looking for clues as to what may cause the instance name to not appear

Hi jnc,
Could you please verify that if the instance name is not listed in “Server name” drop-down list of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)? If so, does the instance list in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog?
If you cannot see the express instance in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog, the reason may due to SQL Server cannot get the appropriate registry entry information in the System Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
SQL Server\Instance Names).
To work around this issue, you can manually input the instance name which will be show in the Local Servers tab. Also make sure that right click on SSMS and then choose “Run As Administrator” to start it.
However, if the express instance is listed in the Local Servers tab in the “Browse for Servers” dialog, but not in the “Server name” drop-down list. Then if you have never connected with the instance name before, its entry will not listed in the drop-downlist.
Or if you have connected to server with a wrong instance name, you cannot see its entry the next time.
