I cannot select images that I've sent to back.

Once I send an image to the back, it's impossible to ever reselect it. Any suggestions?

Cannot select arrow that was previously "Sent to Back"

I am creating a flow chart and have to move some objects around. I have an arrow that I believe I set as "send to back" that I cannot select in order to delete it.
Any way of doing this?

Is the flowchart inside an anchored or graphic frame? If so, then select the frame and use ctrl-A to select all, then try to click on the arrow to make it the only selection.
If you haven't usd frames, then just do a ctrl+A on the page to select everything and try to select that arrow. WIth a lot of objects in front of it, you may have to de-select the others first (ctrl+click).

I have an image that I removed from its back ground and I would like to scale the bottom portion of the image because its to wide but not have that effect the top portion of the image which is the correct with. but also keep the aspect ratio correct? how

The area circled in red is to wide (the width) the necklace's width is as wide as the models entire chest. And also the length of the necklace it's to long it should come down to the clevage area on the model/woman.

How to select a text frame that has been "Sent to Back"?

Hi Framers,
In FM 7.2 (all patches up to date, running on Windows XP Pro), I added a note inside a text frame next to an anchored frame holding an image. I nudged the text frame close to the image but it blocked out a tiny portion of the image. So I selected the text frame and from the Graphics menu clicked Send to Back. Solved that problem, of course. Now I want to change the wording in the note but can't do it because the entire text frame has been sent to back -- how can I select it to Bring to Front so I can edit its contents???
This MUST be something totally obvious, right? Can I plead pre-holiday brain freeze?

The "I-Beam" pointer tool is called the Smart Pointer, because it changes to an I-beam when it's over text, and to the Graphics Pointer tool when over a graphic, or part of a graphic, or when you press Ctrl. It's easy to select the main text frame when you Ctrl+click on its interior text area inadvertently, when you're trying to select an anchored frame edge, or when you use Ctrl+A to select all. It's frustrating to have some of these unintended events happen when you're not expecting them. Always work with View > Borders ON, to display the edges of objects and reduce confusion, and always watch where you click. You can zoom iin to large magnification to see things better.

Cannot select images from iPhoto

I made a desktop AIR application that allows users to upload images to our server. Everything works except for Mac people trying to select images from iPhoto.
This is how I have the file selection setup:

You can see the problem in the screenshot is that the select button won't enable, even though images are selected. Any ideas?

This is an example of the problem. It actually works the first time you select iphoto images, but if you try it again the select button (in the file browser window) is disabled.

Cannot select image map hotspot

Hi Folks --
I have a Dreamweaver file with an image that has 3 hotspots.
I changed the image and now need to change with size and placement
of the hotspots.
Dreamweaver Help says to use the Pointer Hotspot Tool to
select a hotspot, and then drag a hotspot selector handle to resize
the hotspot.
However, when I click on the hotspot using the pointer tool,
nothing happens - I see no selector handles, there is no outline
around the hotspot. All that happens is that the image is selected,
but not the hotspot.
My setup: Mac OS 10.3.9; Dreamweaver 8.0.2; PowerMac G5 Dual

Cannot Select Text That Use Certain Fonts

I have some PDF files where I cannot select the text because they use certain fonts (monotxt for example) when I change the font to Arial and recreate the PDF, then I can select the fonts for copy and paste. My question is how to add fonts that Adobe can recognize for selection.

The fonts are invisible to selection. I cannot select them at all. I do have the license for these fonts. I did some further tests and found that it only happens when I make a PDF from my AutoCAD application and use the monotxt font type. I guess it could be a problem with the AutoCAD application and the creation of the PDF and not the Adobe Reader.

Cannot reconnect images that aren't referenced

I have been using Aperture 3 and Lightroom 3 together to edit my images. Unfortunately LR3 has reorganised some of my Aperture 3 images into a folder not assigned by A3 inside of the Aperture library, now A3 cannot find the originals and asks to reconnect them. When I try and reconnect it says 'The selected master image is either offline or not found. Please reconnect it and try again.' Why can't A3 be told where the masters are, instead of refusing to find anything that's not referenced?
You can even do this in iPhoto, do I have to re-import the originals?

You can't 'reconnect' managed masters. Aperture expects them to be in the library where it put them. They have to be put back in exactly the same place and with the same name. Which is why going into the library and messing around is a really bad idea. The best thing thing would be to restore from your backup.
You need to rethink your setup of using both LR and Aperture this will happen again.

Acrobat 9 Pro Cannot select image and overlapping text

I want to copy a section of a newspaper page that includes both text and graphics and keep it looking the same.
When I draw the select box around the section using the mouse the box just disappears when I let go of the mouse button.
I already did the
Make Select Tool Selct Images Before Text thing.
The touch up tool does not select the area I want as a whole, just pieces.

The Select Object tool only selects one image (or text selection) at a time. Try using the Snapshot tool instead.

Best way to select image with fine hairs?

I have been using the quick selection tool to select images that I want to remove from their backgrounds or edit separately. It always works well except in the hair area. Even when the hair is smooth it looks a little unnatural, and when the hair is flying around I don't know what to do except to laboriously outline things in extreme close-up. Any other suggestions?

There are several methods available. Here is one tutorial which helped me get a grip on masking hair.

Cannot select certain background images for lock s...

When I try to change my lock screen image with one of the preloaded background photos, some of them work fine. But some of them do not bring up the image crop selector tool, and simply drop back to the lock screen settings screen, keeping me from being able to use them. This makes me think that there's something about some of those images that the photo selector cannot handle and perhaps silently crashes the photo selector. For example, even there's about a dozen problematic photos, one image I cannot pick is the one with the sea turtle in it.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Lumia 520. Did something happen to your phone prior to the issue? When did this problem start happening? Would you mind telling us the error message that you are getting?
Please make sure that High contrast is turned off. To do that, go to Settings > Ease of access > High contrast > off. You may also go back to Settings > Lock screen. Under Background, it must be photo > select Change photo and choose a picture. If this will not resolve your concern, you may consider doing a reboot by pressing and holding both the volume down and power keys until it vibrates, then try again.
Let us know the outcome.

Before reloading, I would try deleting the preferences. It may not help in this case, but it is worth a try.
In case you need help with that:
Reset Preferences
1) Close the program and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (not reversible)
or
2) Move the Folder. See:

I recently upgraded to Yosemite. Now in my Pages documents I cannot select/edit any objects or images. Help Please!

I just recently updated my MacBook Pro to Yosemite 10.10.2
I also updated my "Pages" when asked to.
Now when a open any of my Pages documents, I cannot select/edit any of the objects/images in those documents.
I have gone through the "Pages" help but still cannot solve the problem.
There used to be a "make background objects selectable" button, but I can no longer find it.
I have tried the "arrange tab" > section masters > make master objects selectable, but nothing happened

I checked out your link and I remember the import box popping up when I upgraded from iWork to Pages a few years ago. My problem is with all files (even documents created with "pages" last week. The documents open fine, I just cannot select/edit the objects/images in the background of my documents. Yes, I have tried going through all of the tab menus and layout options and tried "pages" help.
So my problem is that I cannot open documents and adapt them to my next lesson, etc.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?
