I cannot send any Mails anymore.
I use a cloud account. For some reasons I have had some issues with my smtp acount. I consider to delete and reinstall the account from the Schach. However I do not want to delete my subfolders and documents in my inbox. How can I avoid that or any other ideas how I can get this Topics Running? Thx, gdrei

Sudenly, I cannot send any mails...
Sudenly, I cannot send any mails! When I try, it takes a long time, then it asks me for mails passwords, I enter them and finaly mails are not sent...
On another hand I receive mails.
Fortunately, I have Entourage and it works well!
Probably, with Thunderbird it would work well too...
MacBook Pro + iMac 24' intel Mac OS X (10.4.8)If you are prompted for a password when sending messages with this account, this indicates the SMTP server used with this account is authenticated.
If so, try running Keychain First Aid on your Login Keychain via Keychain Access.
If no problems are found and repaired or this doesn't resolve the problem, try the following:
If any unsuccessfully sent messages remain in the Outbox, transfer these messages to the account's Drafts mailbox.
Quit Mail and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes > Outbox.mbox. Delete the Outbox.mbox folder and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Outbox.mbox folder will be recreated automatically by Mail within the Mailboxes folder.
Test if this resolves the problem. -
TS3276 i suddenly cannot send any mail via my imac please help
i am unable to send any mail using apple mail. i have checked the all the settings and it seems to be correct. please help
Here's a troubleshooting article from Apple: iOS: Troubleshooting Mail
It doesn't seem to cover your specific issue, but have you tried using a different network (either a different wi-fi network, or switching from wi-fi to cellular or vice-versa if you have a wi-fi+cellular iPad)?
For GMail, iCloud and Yahoo, copies of messages are stored on their respective servers, so you could try deleting the account on your iPad, then re-adding each account one at a time to see if that resolves the issue. -
I have just updated and now I cannot send any mail !!
Well wish I hadnt bothered updating as now cannot send any nmail doing my head in !!

Cannot send/receive mails anymore with BB9300
Hi, since the last 2 weeks, mails do not arrive to nor leave anymore from BB 9300.
When I try to change my mail address, I cannot access the server
Error message is "your terminal encounters a problem when trying to connect to the application server"
What should I do to fix the problem ?
Thank youHi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
Good luck!

Hi. After switching to Leopard we noticed that ALL of our e-mail accounts are now offline when it comes to sending mail. We can receive mail just fine, but each and every SMTP says 'OFFLINE' when we try to send mail. We have many accounts, possibly over 30, and most are from a different company. We've checked and re-checked all of our settings and they all appear to be correct. What else could be causing this?
Sheesh... I got my new iMac for Christmas, ran into this 'can't send mail' issue a week or so ago and STILL no answer on how to fix this!!!
What is the DEAL??? I have done everything that everyone has suggested but with NO results. My iMac will occasionally, as it decides to do so, but for the most part, will not send and says my server is 'Off Line"!!!
I've booted, rebooted, tried every port number, changed settings from automatic to manual, etc, etc, etc... no luck.
I LOVE this machine but this mail thing with Leopard is really making me frustrated. I'm tired of being on the phone and I'm tired of trying to get it fixed.
Where is Apple with this??? -
Cannot send any mail in Mail 4.2
The little thinking wheel just spins for about 20 minutes then I get a 'cannot connect' message, for both my accounts. It was working fine for a while (if a little mind-numbingly slow) but it's suddenly stopped working. I've tried deleting the accounts and starting again but that doesn't work. Please help, it's really starting to annoy me, outlook was better than this and outlook *****.
Please provide specific details regarding how your email accounts are set up.

I am using 10.4.7 and i cannot send any mail from mail program. No problem sending with Entourage (settings are the same). Also, when I type in a message in Mail, as soon as i type a space, i cannot add anything after that - strange.
G5 Dual Mac OS X (10.4.7)This problem in Mail is usually caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services -- the notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved:
Resetting Launch Services
If you prefer using a cache cleaning utility instead of following the manual procedure described in the previous article, this other article provides links to some utilities that can be used for troubleshooting and cache cleaning:
Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner, but you may also want to consider other utilities, such as OnyX, or Cache Out X, which are free. Whatever utility you choose, be sure to read this first:
Side effects of System cache cleaning
As an example, this is how you should proceed with OnyX:
1. Quit all applications.
2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you wish.
5. Click the Execute button.
6. Restart the computer.
7. If the problem persists, try again checking the Links between documents and applications option in step 3 instead. -
When I compose and send a mail, it gets placed in Outbox and I get a prompt stating something like "relating the message is not supported". Even if I compose a newest age, it says the vey same thing. I just cannot send any response through my mail account. Can anyone help with a solution?
You haven't set up the SMTP (outgoing) mail server correctly. You probably didn't enter your user ID and password for the outgoing server. They are needed even though it says "optional".

I have downloaded Yosemite but lost my outgoing mail settings in the process. I can still receive mail from all my accounts but cannot send any...
Open mail
click on mail on top
click preferences
click accounts tab
scroll down to TLS Certificate
click up & down arrow and select (com.apple.idms.appleid )

We used to have BT as our broadband provider and then switched to Talk Talk. Since the switch we cannot send e mails although we are receiving them on the old address. We don't understand what has gone wrong. Can anyone help?
Thank you
EllieYou need to contact T-T and find out their SMTP settings ( which allows the sending of emails over wifi via your ISP) This info is probably on their website
I assume you do not have a 3G iPad .In which case go to the Apple site

Can't send any mail since Safari 3.2 update
I have updated Safari to v.3.2 and been unable to send any mail ever since. I use Mail 3.5. I've tried everything, checked all the settings, still doesn't work. It's Ok to receive mail. When I try to send anything I get the message "e-mail address rejected by the smtp server".
On my PC mail is working just fine. Please help me if you know how to fix it.Same with me! No mail goes out anymore! It just says "Sending" in perpetuity, even if there's nothing in the Outbox!
