I cannot send email on my iMac from Mac Mail. The account shows that it is offline. I've recently updated to Yosemite. I can, however, receive email. What can I do to fix this problem?
I cannot send email on my iMac. I have recently updated to Yosemite. I don't know if that is the problem or not. However, I can receive email on all of my email accounts, but cannot send. It shows that my accounts are offline. How do I fix this?

Try disabling your parental controls. Does that help with the 450?

does anyone have a problem with the new page software? I am currrently running into the same problem with the old pages software re-appearing and any document that I had used with the new update, will not open. The system requires me to attempt to download a new version of page, when the newiest version has aleady been download and has been in operation.
What can I do to fix this problem? I desire to use the new version at all times.

JamesYou just have to be particular with which Pages version you are opening the document. use Right click on the document and choose the right version of Pages.

I have an iPod Touch version iOS 4.2.1, 8 G capacity, and whenever iTunes tries to sync my iPod, I get an error message saying "Mobile Backup has encountered a problem and needs to close", and the sync fails. I recently bought an iphone3GS from USA and jail broke it. Since I heard the there are lots of disadvantages I thought to unlock it officially through the original owner (in copy). He assisted me and confirmed that he unlocked it with AT& T (See the attachment). According to the instructions I restored the phone. But it is not activating with “Activation server is currently not available, please try again or try with iTunes”
When I try with iTunes , it says “you haven’t inserted a SIM” even though I insert the original AT&T SIM.
My current location is Sri Lanka ,so don’t have any apple support.

I restored my settings my I got the new phone but I think I heard that with the iOS 6 updated that can be an issue and it is better to start from scratch rather than restore your settings.reset all settings

From what I understand it is to do with your iTunes library file being corrupted. I tried to force it to create a new version of the library file but then my iPad didn't recognise it and thought it was a different one to what it had been syncing with before.
So I'm not sure where to go from here. -

If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -

Contacts and Calendar entries should be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service if using the device as designed.
Pictures/Videos taken with the device should be copied to the computer regularly, if using the device as designed.
All media should exist in iTunes on the computer.
All apps should exist in iTunes on the computer.
There may be some lost data from apps such as game status, but would you prefer to maintain that data or have a functional device?
If the issue turns out to be hardware, it is possible to later restore from backup to get put the device back to the same functional state once the hardware is replaced. -

Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, try a restore from an earlier backup in iTunes.

And lastly, restore to factory defaults in necessary.

The vibrate symbol that appears on screen when turning vibrate on, continually appears on my screen and vibrates all day. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

Which operating system are you running on?
Try starting the organizer while holding down the shift key. Hopefully, it should load the Catalog Manager.
Select your current catalog and click on the Repair button. Once it has finished, click on the Open button to see if the catalog opens.
