Just got 4s & I'm attempting to set up iCloud. Settings, iCloud - Account Not Verified. Messages states to check my email for instructions to verify .... but the email address listed no longer exists. Any suggestions?

If your Apple ID is the one that you use for making all of your purchases, it should, automatically appear in FaceTime already. How a no longer valid email address got there to begin with is a mystery to me, if in fact you do have, and have been using another Apple ID.
Go to Settings>FaceTime>Apple ID. Tap the old email address and sign out, sign in with your Apple ID. It should be verified and allow you to select it as the address that you can be reached by for FaceTime.
If that does not work, time FaceTime off, restart your iPad and then start all over again.

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. After installing Mountain Lion on my Mac Book Pro, I can no longer access two shared drives. Diagostics cannot solve the problem. I am using Parallels to run Qucikbooks ERP on these shared drives. How do I get my Mac to see these drives and access them?

Don't know what to tell you, but I also have an AEBS-Gen5 with a MBP Retina and Mac Mini using WiFi. Both are running Mountain Lion and I don't have any WiFi connection issues. Two iPhones in the household use WiFi with no issues along with a printer and 2 Windows 7 laptops.
First thing I would try is to shutdown all computers connected to the AEBS. Then power off the AEBS and finally the cable/DSL modem. Then reverse the order and power on the cable modem, wait for all the lights to be solid, power on the AEBS, wait for the light to show solid green; then power up a computer that uses WiFi.
If the above doesn't work, you might try repairing permissions via Disk Utility. If that doesn't help maybe a PRAM reset would work.

Sign out of iCloud, then sign in with the new ID, if you have switched Find My Mac on you will need the previous password.

Content acquired from iTunes is permanently tied to the Apple ID that it was acquired with.
If that is not your Apple ID, delete the content in question.
If it is your Apple ID, reset the password and stop using the new Apple ID.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

The Help page you came here from gives you all the information; without the previous owner's password or his removing the phone from his list of devices you cannot proceed and I'm afraid your phone is useless.

Check your spam folder to be sure it isn't there. If not, try going to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and Manage your account. There should be a link there to resend the verification email.

If you have an old ID in Settings>iCloud as a result of updating to iOS 7, to change it you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.
