I cannot share my work on final cut pro x

Hi.I recently edited a lenghty clip in fpx and there are no effects in it. (1 hour and 40 mins).
Its all basic video filmed at 24fps and consists of some titles that I placed in.
The red line above the timelime does not seem to go and its always there.
When i go to share it on the dvd it starts off slowly and gets stuck on 31 for the rest of the day.
I tried the master default too.Its the same.It does not share.This never happened before.
Although i did shorter videos before and had multiple effects in them from Red Giant and Video co pilot,they all worked without problems
Can anyone please tell me what is wrong and why this is happenning.I would really appreciate your help.

Try deleting the project render fles and the event render files. You can fomd those options in the File menu. First, select either the project or event in their libraries, then move to trash.

Make sure you're using your email associated with your YouTube account in FCPX and not your YouTube Username as that's no longer allowed by Google.

If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

I can't get my blade tool to work in Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7. I magnify the clip to the highest zoom and when I select the blade tool, I see the icon but when I click on the clip to chop it.....nothing. The blade turns red and nothing happens. Please help.

If you are in fact in the active project window, try command B at the location of the skimmer and see whether it makes the edit.

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.

iMovie saves the footage inside its project file.
Right click the icon, choose "Show Package Contents".
Open the Contents folder -the footage is in the Media subfolder.
Can you bring it into FCP?
Dunno. Give it a try.

You can't work with the files natively, if that's what you mean - you can't drop a .aep file into FCP X, or vice-versa. You can do this to some extent using Premiere Pro and After Effects, but only if you get them together in the Production Premium collection.
Like Tom said, though, you can prep stuff in either direction and work with both applications without a problem.

Yes, Compressor adds several codecs, which can also be used in FCE (decoding and encoding using QuickTime Conversion) and in QuickTime player. Most notably these are MPEG-2 and ProRes. The latter is an editing-friendly Intraframe-Codec useful for preprocessing stuff for importing clips to FCE, particularly if it has a different framerate from the FCE project.

Cannot see Users folder in Final Cut Pro 10.1.1 (after OS 10.9.3 update)

I have been working just fine with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1, on an hour long project with still and video content.
Yesterday, I received a new OS update to 10.9.3 and afterward, when I went to import some content into my project, FCP does not see the User folder. So I cannot find my documents, still photos, etc. or the motion project I had just completed to add credits to my movie.
My workaround was to copy the .MOV file from the Motion project to an external drive, where FCP can see anything I put in there... but it's very frustrating not to be able to import directly from my User drive, and have to copy everything to an external drive first.
Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?
To be clear: When I click "Import Media" in FCP and select my main drive, I see only the following folders:
Applications
A folder with a bunch of numbers (not the User folder inside)
Library
Lost + Found
statistic log (dimmed)
System
There used to be a "Users" folder, in which I could find my Documents, Photos, Movile

Open the AppleScript Editor in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run:
do shell script "chflags nohidden /Users/" with administrator privileges
You may then need to relaunch the Finder.

How do i get a copy of IDVD and will it work with final cut pro x.

I have a new powerbook. I've purchased final cut pro x because express is no longer available. My Mac didn't come with iDVD and I can't find a suitable dvd authoring tool. Please... some suggestions for DVD authoring or how to get a copy of iDVD and will it even work with FCPx.

If you are still within your 15 day return period, nicely explain that you may return the computer without iDVD. That usually does the trick. You MUST speak to a senior advisor to get a free copy. The first tier people cannot do it.
If that doesn't work you can purchase iLife 11 (includes iDVD) on disk.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

Export feature not working in final cut pro x

Hello,
I'm working on a multicam edit in final cut pro x and wanted to export it to see how it looks, but when i try to share it all of the options for sharing under the share tab are grayed out, i can't seem to export my project and can't export it using CMD+E, neither, does anyone have any idea or maybe i'm doing something wrong?
Can someone please help?

The project is in the timeline. That's where i'm trying to export from, but all options are grayed out in the shar tab, also i noticed that it's only with this one project, all the others are perfectly fine.

Does AVCHD work in Final Cut Pro?

I have a AVCHD camcorder (Panasonic HDC-HS9) but cannot seem to get it working in Final Cut?

I have a brand new intel MacBook Pro, running FCP ver 6.0.4 and iMovie 08. Neither recognizes the AVCHD format. on FCP I log and capture but the .mts format is simply not recognized.
Oh the camera is a Panasonic SD9.
Am I doing something really dumb, because everything I have read on similar threads seems to point that I have all the ingredients.
Do I need to load a codec pack or anything?

MPEG2 codec not working in Final Cut Pro on Mac OSX Tiger

We have been using the File-export-Quicktime Conversion-MPEG2 codec for exporting of files from Final Cut Pro to DVD Studio Pro. On the new mac system that was just bought, the option does not show up.
Currently the system is running Quicktime Pro 7.1.2/ FCP 5 and DVD Studio Pro 4 and it is a new mac system running Mac OSX Tiger.
This problem has happened before on a mac running on an older system, but that was solved by reinstalling FCP and then DVD Studio pro and making sure that the QT Pro was of the latest version.
Right now, we have reinstalled everything the same way, tried installing DVD Studio Pro after, we have also done a full software update of the software over the net.
The codec is still not working, all the macs in the office are supposed to be upgraded to Mac osx tiger, but right now we can't do so, cos then we wouldn't be able to burn any DVDs.

The installation of QT 7 is the culprit behind the missing MPEG-2 Export Component. But during upgrades, it doesn't always get rid of the file ... probably what happened on your older system when you upgraded to QT 7 or Tiger. Either the new system came with QT 7 preinstalled, therefore not including the Export Component, or if it was upgraded, the upgrade missed it.
