I cannot sign in to mozilla

Can't remember user name or password. I don't remember setting an account.

At the right of the login you can click don't have an account or top right register to create an account with Mozilla if you don't remember creating one.

Updated to FF 14.0.1 - I now have 2 dozen shortcuts that were associated with FF - with no association.
When clicked, I get msg: "file does not have a program associated"
    How do I re-associate them.
I also have several IE shortcuts that have the same problem.

  • I I cannot sign out of my comcast email in Firefox but I can do so in IE.

My husband and I each have our own email account on Comcast email. We almost always use Firefox to open it. Suddenly, I cannot sign out of my email account on Firefox. I click on sign-out, then click on sign in, but the email automatically goes to my email account. After signing out, and clicking on email, it sometimes says "oh oh, you're not signed in." But when I click on sign in, instead of giving me the sign in box it goes right to my open email account. Just can't get out of it. When I am on IE, I can still sign in and out of both Comcast accounts without a problem.
I use a laptop with Windows 7 or 7XP I believe, not sure which it is. Thanks for your help.

Try to clear the cookies from that Comcast website.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • I cannot sign into yahoo, but I can get to other sites by using tabs on toolbar, but then I cannot sign out?

'''bold text'''I cannot sifn into yahoo, but I can get to other sites by using tabs on toolbar, but then I cannot sign out. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but I still have the same problem.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

I have a old firefox account and I cannot sign on too. I made new account just to ask a question. I tried to sign in with old emails, but did not get any reset information back. How can I recover old information?

Backing up and restoring your Profile should have included your bookmarks.
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile
That looks like a JSON bookmarks backup file, from 11-01-2012. Did you try '''restoring''' that file?
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them#w_using-a-bookmark-backup-file
Never messed with JSON files other than viewing them on a few occasions out of curiosity. There are no line breaks which make them very difficult to read.
As far as working with that file in {like} NotePad goes:
    A. use Find / Search for each indecent of a '''"uri"''' string, then "copy and paste" the uri into another text file, and then move on to the next "uri" string.
    B. use a text program where a filter can be set for the "uri" field in the JSON file for a line break or to "scrape out" the "uri"s only for display or export to a list of uri's.
Or try using an online JSON editor like this, to try to display only the "uri" field.

Hello cindydenenberg, many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
If clearing cookies doesn't work then maybe the '''cookies.sqlite''' file that stores the cookies is corrupted. Try to rename, or delete, '''cookies.sqlite '''(cookies.sqlite.old) and delete also '''cookies.sqlite-journal''' (if exist) in Firefox [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data#w_how-do-i-find-my-profile profile folder] in case the file cookies are corrupted.
    Thank you.

  • Cannot sign in to app store on MY account, but different acc works fine

    Hi,
Today I signed into someone else's AppleID on my iPad to purchase an app (with their permission.) But now that I signed out of their account, I am now unable to sign in to MY account! I get "the Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect" the first time - then the second time I try, it just doesn't respond at all. Also, I am signed into my account right now (to post this message), I can access the account online via appleid.apple.com, AND I cannot sign in on my iPhone 3GS either. I have tried resetting the password, to no avail.
I am also doubtful it is a problem with the App Store itself, because I can sign back in to the alternate account with no problems. Suggestions? Anyone else having (or had) this same problem before?

Well, dunno if I did something to fix it unknowingly or if it was some sort of Apple hiccup, but I can now sign in on the iPad. I just tried signing in on iTunes to see if that would work; it did, then I tried signing in once again on iPad and that worked as well. Not sure what was going on, but all fixed now! Phew.

  • Cannot sign in max free accounts have been activated on this phone, bought on ebay

cannot sign in max number of free accounts activated on this iphone

the best solution for this is go to Settings> General> Reset> Reset all settings.
This will not delete any data, but only settings & this might resolve  the issue.

  • I cannot sign into App Store. "unknown error" and then "We cannot complete your request. There has been an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"

I cannot sign in to the App Store.
I changed countries a few months ago and updated all my account info and everything was working fine, until recently, while trying to upgrade my softwear to Mavericks, which I cannot do. My apple Username and password work fine on iTunes and on my iPhone. I can also access all my account info when I sign in through the website. It just will not work for the App Store on my Mac Pro.
When I click "Welcome" under Quick Links it asks me to sign in. I sign in with my Apple Username and Password and then it DOES NOTHING
When I click on "Free Upgrade" and then "Install" on the mavericks software, it asks me to sign in again. This time it says "unknown error" and then it says "We cannot complete your request. There has been an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
I''m completely blocked. I cannot procede without being able to update my software.
    Please help me.
    Rhea

    You could try this.
Back up all data.Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Reboot and test. If there's no change, restore the item you deleted from a backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, you may need to recreate some of your settings in the Network preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • HT204053 I have an iPhone 4S and when I try to add an iCloud account is gives me an error "Cannot Sign In, The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone." Is there any way to deactivate an account?

I have an iPhone 4S and when I try to add an iCloud account is gives me an error "Cannot Sign In, The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone." Is there any way to deactivate an account? I have one for myself, one for my family and one for my work. I had all three on my iphone and then I deleted my work. I wanted to get my own person @me.com account. It wouldn't let me create it from my iphone, so I created it from my Macbook Pro. I am trying to add it to my iphone, but it keeps giving me that error. If there is a way I can deactivate my work one so I can use my @me.com personal account?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer.
You should however be able to add existing accounts to your device, are you sure you aren't trying to create on rather than simply use an existing one.

  • Invalid Certificate Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be used to send from your e-mail address.

    Hi,
I have a problem when trying to sign emails with an X.509 certificate in Outlook 2010. I constantly get the error message. The certificate is Verified for the email address I'm sending from.
    "Invalid Certificate
Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be
used to send from your e-mail address."I have no problem with signing documents in Word 2010 with the same certificate, only when trying to send email.Every check I can perform confirms that there's nothing wrong with the certificate. Yet, Outlook still says it is invalid.I have even tried installing a second X.509 for the same email address just to check. Outlook doesn't seem to like either certificate.I know this has been posted before, but I'm completely stuck here. Thanks,~Dan

    Hi,
You may have checked the option "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" in Outlook, please uncheck this to test if the problem persists.
File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> E-mail Security -> Clear the checkbox "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" -> OK.
