Seems like the music never completly downloaded. Try redownloading on computer and sync.

Cannot sort ipod music

I have noticed that since upgrading to iOS 5 on my iphone 4, that while I play music through itunes when my phone is connected, I cannot sort my music.
I can sort however I want on my desktop machine, but when on my laptop (macbook pro) I cannot sort by anything. Is there a trick to getting this to work again? I made sure that on my desktop where I sync all my music from and such that I have manually manage music and videos, but that doesnt seem to help.

All I can find is videos are shown in alphabetical order by title, and that's it.

Perform a backup to iTunes from the old device and then a restore to the new device, use ITunes to do this. BTW, always sync photos to a computer to store them safely (use iPhoto on a mac or to a designated folder on a PC). Never trust an iOS device to keep photos without having them synced to a computer.

You don't need anything, as such is built directly into the iOS. Your carrier, however, needs to support such.

When I plug my iPhone 4s in to my Windows 7 laptop the icon that show in "My Computer" is of a digital camera. Is there any way to change this to an iPhone?

Your phone is a digital camera (among other things). The iPhone does not support disk mode, so the only thing that shows up in My Computer is the camera. Everything else is "read" through iTunes.

My apple account was in my partners name , I have now changed it to my name .
The problem is my icloud email still shows up his name at the beginning of my email address. eg Jo Blogg ( [email protected] ) .
When I open up Icloud in browser it shows in the top right my correct name , but when I go into Account settings on Mac in the Mail it shows up my
partners name as the Full Name associated with the account . It doesn't give you the option of changing that name though.
I hope I have explained this properly and someone can help ?

Hey There I didn't need to change it as it shows my correct name in my icloud account. The problem is on my Mac where it still shows my Full name as my partners name.
For eg. if I send an email from "Mail" on mac and I use my icloud account then the name that shows up is my partners name when the email is received. If I send an email from the Icloud Mail box that I log into on my browser then the name that shows up when the email is received is my name which is correct.
When I go into preferences in "Mail" on my Mac to change my name, the name is ghosted out and doesn't allow me to change it ! ? It is here that it still show my partners name ?

my son had this problem. I went to the apple store and they wiped out and restored the phone.. They said that was all they could do but that I should call our phone carrier and ask them. I did. They asked if in the top left side, next to battery power there was a icon of a half moon. There was. They said to go in to settings and go to "Do not Disturb" and turn it off. I did.....problem solved!!! Somehow "do not disturb" was turned on and that is what happens if it is!!

Changing stored info that pops up such as address city state phone email...

I would like to see if there is a way to change the information that pops up automatically when typing information into provided spaces requesting name address city state and phone number. I want to think that is might be part of the information saved in you key chain but am not sure if I am on the right path. My purpose is that every time I have to enter information in fields such as personal information & shipping information like you would do when ordering stuff online everything is filled in correctly except the phone number. It always puts my wife's number and then I have to go in and change it manually. It would be nice if I could figure out how to change this and save me the trouble of doing it manually every time I order something online.

I understand what you are saying but I like that it auto fills the spaces I just want it to fill in the correct information. For example what if I moved. Is there a way to change the information that the computer enters into the fields.

Cannot find the music list or any music through iPod

I have a problem with my iPod.
When I turned on my iPod, the screen did not show any song. I got no playlists, no songs, no videos in iPod. I checked its status through iTunes (for Windows), too, but iTunes also did not include any song or playlist.
So I thought my iPod is completely formatted for some reasons, but it did not. After I connected to the computer, I found all mp3 files and mp4 files (for video, of course) through Windows' explorer. I can't find the reason why the iPod or iTunes cannot read the files' information even if they are still 'alive.' If someone can help me, I would appreciate so much! Thanks.

How did you load the music on to your iPod in the first place? Did you add it through Windows Explorer? If so, the iPod software will not recognize it. You need to load it through iTunes or a third party music manager such as Yamipod.

Your music and playlissts will only be where you put them.
Have you copied them to your new computer from your old one?
