I cannot start installing Acrobat X Pro after I click the Install button. Please advice.

Which operating system are you using?  Do you receive any error messages?  Is this the trial of Adobe Acrobat X Professional or have you purchased the software?

    Yes. I have tried to repair it, but it still didn't work. I had to completely uninstall - reboot - then do a clean install. Works beautifully for a few weeks, then nothing.

    Even though it's your computer but your user account might not have sufficient privileges to install the software.
    Please try the following :
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
    Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

    JS can not interact with open dialogs in any way, unless it's a dialog
    created in JS using the Dialog object.

  • Cannot Install Acrobat 9 Pro after Installing IE8

    The story... Running Vista Business.  I've been running Acrobat 9 Pro for a while now.  I have since upgraded my browser from IE6 (default install) to IE7 to IE8.  Today I decided to uninstall/reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro to troubleshoot an issue.  All of a sudden, the Acrobat 9 Pro installer quits during the preinstall checks and says, "Acrobat requires Internet Explorer version 6". 
    At this point, downgrading IE is out of the question (for a multitude of reasons), so I re-ran the Acrobat 9 installer, this time doing a custom install.  In the advanced settings, I unchecked the PDFMaker for Internet Explorer option.  After that, the installer ran without any errors.  Wanted to post this in case some else out there runs into this issue.
    Apparently when Adobe built Acrobat 9, they assumed that IE versions would never go above 6.

    Pro is also not supported on Mountain Lion? I have a MACbook here on OSX
    Mountain Lion, and as I've also mentioned on my first post, I was able to
    install 9 Pro and update it as well.
    It really is just odd that Lion is singled out here. I also checked this

  • Cannot get to Acrobat X Pro after Installing

    I installed Acrobat X Pro on a server. Icon is white and says Acrobat X Pro but when I open it it is only reader. I do not have Reader installed on the server. I also have already gone to edit:preferences:general and chose the default to Acrobat X Pro but I still only get Reader when it is opened.
    Please help...this is for hospital use.

    Hi Lori,
    I think the registry keys are not getting updated after installation of Acrobat.
    Try uninstalling Adobe Reader and Acrobat both and then install only Acrobat and check if issue still exists.

    My installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro is ~6 GB (according to Windows program manager). I can't justify that space. Is this necessary?
    I really only need it to combine/rearrange/modify PDF presentations. Is there a way to install a smaller set of functionality?

    The Initial view setting works perfectly when the file is opened in Acrobat after setting the desired Initial View.
    When you upload the file onto Wordpress, and view it on that website in the browser...it might be using a different pdf handler program which might be causing this issue ( it would be helpful, if you could provide the screenshot) , however when you download the pdf again from wordpress server...and open in Acrobat/Reader...then what  exactly happens ?  Does the pdf opens in the desired Initial View setting?

    I am using Window 7. I downloaded the trial version of Acrobat X Pro. I started the installer and followed all the steps until the last button "Install". However, after i clicked it, the installer disappeared and the screen jumped back to the desktop and nothing happened!!

    Make sure that Control Center is enabled. Settings>Control Center. Then, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access various settings, including Rotation lock.

  • Ever since Firefox updated, I cannot view slideshows on websites. If I click the "Next" button to see the next slide in an article, nothing happens. Why is this? How can it be fixed? I've cleaered cache, done everything.

    When I try to view any article with a slideshow, the next button on the slideshow doesn't work.     Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

    The same place you got it the first time? Disk or in an email if you downloaded the installer.
    Also, if you've registered Acrobat, Adobe will have that information in your online account.

    but the dvd only got set-up.exe (only for windows)??? how can i install it to mac?

    Bakz did you just purchase CS6?  If so you may want to work with your reseller to obtain a Mac version of the license.
    If that fails then please see Order product | Platform, language swap for information on how to request a change of your Windows license to a Mac OS license.

    When you double tap the home button on my ipod touch 4th gen it comes up with a list of apps that have been open! Are they still on? If they are does it waste your battery if you dont close them? Thanks!
