I had my hard drive cleaned and cannot install cs6 master collection from disk. I am getting error message failed to initialize. please download adobe advisor support. I am using a pc and have windows 8. Please help.
start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
if cc (win): https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

Cannot install CS6 Master Collection on windows 7 - 64 bit
As the title implies, I have several times tried installing the Master Collection - CS6 on my windows 7 - 64 bit machine at home and after a couple minutes, it simply erros out. I have even downloaded the trials for several of the applications and they too won't install. My download came directly from the Adobe Licensing site.

I downloaded CS5.5 master collection but didn't install all the programs. What happened to the ones I didn't install? Where can I find them? Can I install them later? Do I have to download the whole collection again? Where is the installer for the rest of the programs? I cannot find the installer. I found a folder "a folder CS5.5 master collection" at the location I provided while downloading, but the folder was empty. Nothing was there. No .app file was found. When I was downloading the programs, I saw an icon on my desktop, but it disappeared when once the download was completed. The icon looked like a disc. I'm using OS X 10.6 system.
yes, I saw that one. However, it shows up as an uninstaller. It seems I can only uninstall things that I have in my system instead of installing programs I don't have.

After my CC membership expired, I Can't use my Adobe CS6 Master Collection programs!
I purchased Creative Cloud(Student Edition) membership last year, and the membership was expired last month.
Instead of renewing my CC membership, I intend to install 'Adobe CS6 Master Collection', Which I purchased about 2 years ago.
But when I finish installing 'Adobe CS6 Master Collection' and try to use my CS6 programs, the programs keep popping messages: "renew your Creative Cloud membership".
I deleted whole programs and installed it again, But it was no use.
What should I do now?
I want to register my CS6 programs by using my serial numbers, not purchasing CC membership.Temporid which operating system are you using? Which process did you utilize to remove the Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 6 software which was previously installed? You can find more details regarding the uninstall process at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

How do I start Cs6 Master Collection if I keep getting a pop-up?
I have Windows 8.1 and have the Adobe CS6 Master Collection on a disk. I uploaded it to a computer some time ago but the hard drive crashed, so I am trying to upload it to a second computer. I have tried both the disk and downloaded the free trial but both times I try to start it up I get a pop-up that says "Installer failed to Initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." When I click on the provided link I am taken to the following page that leads nowhere: http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/
Honestly? How do I fix this??Grantlee3000 the Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued. Instead you will want to review the PDApp.log to determine why the installer is failing to initialize. Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

Cannot start using my CC programs
I paid for CC student membership on November, 29. Now, if I log in on the web and go to my profile page, it shows that I have annual account and next payment will be on December, 28. So everything seems to correct. However, when I download any program, run it and use my account to log in, it only offers me to start trial or to buy a CC membership. What can I do with it?
Really disappointed, paid for membership and cannot start using programs.Does that mean I have lost all my data?
Since you can't boot from the install disk to check the hard drive, that's impossible to say. If you have some hardware problem and the hard drive is unaffected, your data is fine, just inaccessible at the moment. Of course, if the hard drive is damaged and you have no backups, you may have lost some or all of your data.
Unfortunately, however, there is an authorized apple store (not a retial store) in my area that I have given them my MacBook before for repairs (and I was charged for it), but no Genius Bar has been listed in my nearby area. Is there any technical support avaiable by phone?
Tech support is available by phone, but I don't use it, so I'm unclear on the restrictions. IIRC, you are allowed one incident for free, but after that you have to pay for the support. The Genius Bar is always free, though, which is why I recommend it. Perhaps you should ask the folks at that repair shop if they could take a look at it and see if they can get it to boot. They'll have resources you don't, like external hard drives to boot from. -
I'm getting an error message of: "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again." when
I try to start Outlook 2007 running on windows 8.1. (standalone with pst file, not exchange)
I have tried:
Restarting computer (hard boot)
Running in safe mode: Outlook /safe
Resetting the nav panel: Outlook /resetnavpane
Running scanpst on the pst files.
Outlook /cleanprofile
Creating a new profile
Checking if windows search is running (it was) and restarting it.
All with the same error message.
I'm stumped. Any ideas how to get Outlook to open? Was there some sort of windows update that ran last night and messed up Outlook? It worked at end of day yesterday.
Thanks in advance.Thank you for the update, seems the problem has been resolved, right? If this issue comes back or you need further assistance on it, please feel free to contact us.

Cannot install CS5 Master Collection in Windows 8 x64 Pro
Hi
I have recently performed a clean install of Windows 8 on my computer through the MSDNAA. However when I try to install CS5 Master Collection, the installer will not launch. I have tried a number of solutions for example running the setup in compatibility mode and running it as an administrator with no success. I would appreciate your help.

[22:10:08.140] deactivating session
[22:10:13.156] caught signal 15
Could anyone help me to figure this out? Thanks.
Edit:
I have also tried running `swc-launch -- velox`, and get the following error:
Running on /dev/tty2
velox: error while loading shared libraries: libinput.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Server exited with status 127
Restoring VT to original state
So, perhaps I am having some libinput trouble. Does this seem correct?

Seems that the problem lies in libinput. Maybe you can report that upstream. I suggest you recompile libinput with debug info and do not strip the binaries to obtain better backtraces.
Well, that's a different problem. libinput has several soname bumps because of API and ABI incompatibility. You have to rebuild swc against the newest libinput. (Although I'm not sure if swc developer updated the code to new API)
Edit 2:
Just to tack this on here for `gnome-session --session=gnome-wayland --debug`
I'm not expert on this, it may be related to libinput problem. If you don't include GDK_BACKEND=wayland environment variable when launching gnome-wayland.

I cannot start iTunes because the program can't find 'My music' folder
I had a fairly hefty PC crash yesterday, and I cannot now start my iTunes software. The error message is: "The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder."
I had been keeping my library in an external disk drive, that had - until the crash - been my 'G' drive. Post crash it now calls itself the 'K' drive.
All I can presume is that the software is pointed towards the old 'G' drive.
My music is still intact, but I just cannot connect to it.
Can anybody help, please?
Many thanks.
iPod 5th Gen 80 gig Windows XPI had been keeping my library in an external disk drive, that had - until the crash - been my 'G' drive. Post crash it now calls itself the 'K' drive.
your registry will probably still be looking for the My Music folder on your K drive. (the "My Music" folder has special registry properties.)
so let's try shifting the drive letter on that drive back to "K". for instructions on shifting drive letters, see the following document. (although it's about changing the drive letter of an iPod, the same basic principle apply to changing the drive letters of other drives.)
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear -
Cannot start JVM within C++ program
Hello,
I get segmentation violation error when I try to start JVM within a C++ program using JNI on NT. I am using J2SDK1.4.2 (same story with J2SDK1.4.2_01 too). This works fine with JDK1.3.
Did anybody see this or know how to resolve this?
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
JavaVMOption *options = new JavaVMOption[10];
memset(options, 0, sizeof(JavaVMOption) * 10);
int numOptions =0;
JavaVMInitArgs jvm_args;
memset(&jvm_args, 0, sizeof(jvm_args));
jvm_args.nOptions = numOptions;
jvm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_4;
jvm_args.options = options;
jvm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;
// Start the JVM
JavaVM *jvm = NULL;
JNIEnv *env = NULL;
status = JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void **)&env, &jvm_args);
if (status)
fprintf(stderr, "JVM create failed, shutting down\n");
exit(status);
printf("JVM initialized\n\n");
// Destroy the JVM
status = jvm->DestroyJavaVM();
fprintf(stdout, "JVM destroyed\n");
return 0;
} Thanks in advance,
RamanaHi,
as I see no problem with your code.
Try to Debug ! Where does the error occur ?
The following code should work:
// get the JVM init args
JavaVMInitArgs vm_args;
jint res = 0;
JavaVMOption options[1];
vm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_4;
// call JNI_GetDefaultVMInitArgs (jni.h)
res = JNI_GetDefaultVMInitArgs( &vm_args );
// fill the args
const char* cpOption = "-java.class.path=C:/java/path_to_class";
vm_args.nOptions = 1;
options[0].optionString = cpOption ;
vm_args.options = options;
vm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;
// call JNI_CreateJavaVM
JavaVM *jvm;
JNIEnv *env;
JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void **)&env, &vm_args);
// the destroy method does not work properly, see bug 4093633kind regards

MAster Collection programs doesn't working properly
Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash these programs couldn't open on my macbook pro after installed the OS Yosemite??? How can I resolve it?
What do yo mean by Flash? The Flash player in your browser?
What exactly happens when you try to use/ope them?
Is the version you are using compatible with Yosemite? Go to the developer's support site to find out. -
I'm uninstalling CS5.5 after deactivation in order to gain space for CC, but am having problems doing so. I'm on 64-bit Windows 7 and installed from the Master Collection disks on both my desktop and laptop - neither one has any of the Master Collection programs showing up in the standard uninstall location, which is the only recommended Adobe uninstall method.
If I run the original install disk, it recognises the existing CS5.5 programs, but only gives the option of installing further program options rather than uninstalling existing ones - is there any way to use the disks to uninstall programs?Fixed it - used the disk to reinstall one of the existing CS5.5 apps, and then the Adobe Master Collection showed up as an item in the Programs and Features location, which I could select and uninstall all apps.

Can I generate a DSC alarm based on the difference of two signals?
In the Tag Configuration Editor of the DSC module, you can set lower and upper limits on any signal (tag). This works well if the signal is expected to always be within a certain range. However, if the signal is expected to vary according to a predef
