I cannot sync my phone because my device is locked and the screen is broken. how can i get around this?
My screen on my iPhone 5s 16g has broken and i just received a new one in the mail. i want to sync my old phone to iTunes so i can restore my new one, but cannot sync do to the fact that my screen is broken and i am unable to unlock the phone… how can i get around this?
You don't. If you use a 3rd party to "fix it" or attempt to do it yourself, Apple will reject the return and charge you the full price of the phone as if you had not returned it at all.
It's too late. You should have been backing up before it failed.

I bought a used iPhone on ebay. when I try to activate it, I get a message that the owner needs to sign in to the device with their appleID and password. I have no way of knowing who the owner is. How can I get around this?
Check the eBay listing. Did it state the device was Activation Locked? If not, then make a claim as Meg stated and get a refund. You will not be able to activate the phone and no one can help you contact the owner, unless that is the person that sold the device. If they cannot remove the phone from their account because it is not theirs, then refund is your route. Even Apple cannot assist with locating the previous owner.

I have multiple emails associated with my i phone, but can't get my mac to associate some of the email names because it is associated with other apple id , but it's my id. how can i get around this?
- Try contacting iTunes for the password problem:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
- For the other problem you can try a reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
- Instead, try restoring from backup. -

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

I was recently blocked from using app Jack'D. Message I receive says "Your device has been blocked". How can I get around this?
Quoted from their FAQ's:
I got an error message saying my device is blocked. Why did this happen?
There are two reasons this could happen: You have deleted your account or you have been banned due to violation of terms of service.
- You have deleted your account.
When you delete your account, you agree that your device would be blocked for at least one month. This policy is enforced in order to protect users from stalkers. (If the system allowed users to create and delete their accounts any time they wanted, the Block feature would be compromised and wouldn't be able to protect users effectively.) Please understand this is not a punishment but a security measure intended to keep all of our users safe.
- You have been banned due to violation of terms of service.
Users of this mobile application are required to comply with our terms of service and instructions provided by our service team. The most common violations include, but are not limited to: Creating multiple accounts, uploading pictures not complying with our terms, and abusing the Report feature. In most situations, you will get a warning before you are banned from the app. If you receive a warning from our service team, please read it carefully and take it seriously. If anything is not clear, please contact user support for clarification. -

If that Article does not resolve it... then you have a problem.
Perhaps a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is required..
Be sure to make an appointment first...
Note:
That error message may be indicative of the Device being Hacked / jailbroken.... If this is the case then you are on your own.

I used to have a similar problem like this, I found that I had a virus which was downloaded to my PC by one of my two sons.
If you cannot download and install any MS updates and/or are now having difficulty with secure (https://) websites then chances are your PC is now infected.
The particular virus/trojan I had could not be detected by AV's or Anti-Spyware apps because it rewrote part of my registry and hid itself. The only indication I really had was that I kept getting the same error message you are getting whenever I tried to log onto an https: website. I would then call the company concerned about their website only to be told that the site was up, running and fine.
I got rid of this malware by reformatting my HD and reinstalling all my apps and data.
Hope I'm wrong, good luck

Just got my new iMac and want to connect my contacts to it via my iPhone 5 without using icloud. Help. I don't see a way of using iTunes like I used to. I'm just not interested in using iCloud and having my contacts stored on their servers.
You'll have to use OS X Server, as explained here: http://www.macworld.com/article/2061183/itunes-ios-syncing-gone-solve-it-with-se rver-.html.

Hi, I have recently purchased an iPad 2 and only just found out after trying to use a Giffgaff sim card that it is locked to the Orange network in the UK. I don't want to be paying any extra over and above what I have already paid so my question is, is there any way to get the iPad carrier unlocked via apple or orange. I am waiting a call back from apple today and have read on the web that orange will charge me to unlock it.
Thanks for any help you guys can offerSome iPads which were subsidized by the carriers are locked to the carrier, and in that case only the carrier can authorize an unlock. You'll need to talk to Orange, and pay their fee if necessary. They may well only unlock for the original purchaser, in which case you'll need to contact the person from whom you purchased the iPad. Apple can do nothing directly in the matter, since they can only issue the unlock when the carrier provides authorization.

why is it when i am trying to syc my music to my iphone but it says i have authorised my laptop...but i have authorised it!
how do i stop this and get my music onto my iphone? If you look at the details of the error message displayed on your computer, iTunes will show you which songs and account(s) have not been authorized on your computer.
Songs from other people's iTunes accounts are usually the culprit. These songs can be added to your iTunes library by file sharing software, or by perhaps by your friends trying to share music with you.
If you don't recognize the iTunes account that purchased the unauthorized songs, you should probably get rid of them or investigate other (probalby not very legal) methods for working around the problem.
