I cannot synch my device calendar to my Outlook

I've had my Blackberry Curve 8300 about one week and previously it was synching fine.  This morning, I synched and the calendar on my desktop went blank but the data on my device is fine.  There were no conflict messages to resolve but everything disappeared.  I configured my synch to only take data from device to desktop, but it still won't work.  I also made sure to select the correct calendar.
What do I need to do next?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
Further, it has also been reported that when your user profile on windows (type 'echo %userprofile%' in the command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. In order to solve this issue, log out of your Windows account and log back in using the local Administrator account (or any other account name without spaces) and install the desktop (for all users).
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM Desktop Software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
Some have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (e.g., Outlook, NOTES, etc.) installation CD, running the "repair" process, to be helpful in some situations
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM Desktop Software:
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install the Desktop Software to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:

Hopefully that will get things going again.

  • Cannot synch multiple contact or calendar folders; no way to recognize folders with names other than contact or calendar

cannot synch multiple contact or calendar folders from computer using outlook. iPhone seems to recognize only single title of contacts or calendar

iPhone PC Suite may be helpful. It allows you to import contacts from vCard files, Outlook Express, Windows Address Book, Windows Live Mail and Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 to iPhone directly.

  • Cannot synch with Outlook 2003 calendar

I have not yet been able to synch my new tour with my outlook calendar. I had an issue with an obsolete folder in Outlook that caused the synch to hang up (operation terminated) but I removed that folder. Now, the synch doesn't really get going before I get an "unknown error" message. I have restored my files and wiped the calendar clean.
I am on Verizon and am using v 5.0.1 Desktop Manager. It looks, from prior documentation, like this is compatible with Outlook 2003.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Cannot synch Blackberry with Outlook - stops at #42 on calendar

This is the error message in the Desktop software error log - help!!!
DesktopMgr caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
    in module ILXOLK.FIL at 001b:11460c03 CurrentThread:00000E10.

    Hi masala,
Can you provide a little more information on this issue? When you're syncing the calendar can you tell if it's scanning the device or the Outlook calendar when the sync stops? If its the device calendar I would clear it and resync it with Outlook.
If its the Outlook calendar, try enabling advanced logging using this article. http://bbry.lv/9eSlM8 and syncing only the calendar. If you want help reading the tif.log and PTTrace.log files you can PM me.
    Thanks,

  • Can't synch mail, contacts, calendars in iCloud since IOS 7

Since I installed IOS 7 on all of my devices, I cannot synch "mail, contacts and calendars" in iCloud Control Panel 3.0. When I try to check the box, a sync appears to be setting up but I get an error message before it can complete. I have sent the "Report" but this issue continues. I have reinstalled iCloud 3.0 and trid again, but to no avail. HELP! I need my iPad and iPhone to syc with my Outlook 2010 Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks.

If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test:   Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options.  Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup.  If that doesn't work, then this post will not help.  If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup.  If successful, keep repeating these steps.  If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail.  (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one.

  • Problems with synching new Curve 8330 from/to Outlook Calendar.

I am hoping someone can help with my problem - after two days I have run out of ideas.
1.I am running a Vista 64bit Laptop with Microsoft Office 2007 including Outlook.
    2. Yesterday I purchased a Blackberry 8330 and initially downloaded the included DM, version 4.5.  After some intitial hiccups with the synch I was able to synch the contacts, the tasks and the memo databases.
     3. With the initial synch the Calendar did download to the device but the contact file was so messed up I had to wipe everything and try again - since then I am unable to synch the Calendar either to or from the device:
    I have tried the following:
I have uninstalled and installed DM three times - the most recent is the 4.7 version of the DM with the media manager.
I have wiped the device clean and started from scratch twice.
I have also removed the battery and then reinserted it.
I have tried two way and one way synchs - none worked.
I have tried entering something in the device calendar and seeing if it will synch back to Outlook. To no avail.
I have spent three hours on the phone with Verizon and finally they pointed me to this board.
I found a thread which had a solution from someone who seemed very knowledgeable.  His solution involved something to do with the two emails on the device but just as I got started on that solution my Explorer froze and dumped the browser - and now I cannot find the thread again.
Not a great day so far and I am working on hour # 14 with no luck - that's just today.......
    Can anyone help?
    many thanks

when you try to sync the calendar, does it stop at a certain part? which part? does it give you an error?
Have you tried going to control panel, mail, profiles, create a test profile. make it the default(dont add an email... just cancel the wizard)
open outlook(which will now be the new default test profile)
create a test entry and try syncing that
also on your device.. open options-advanced options- default services... which email is set for calendar?
on device, open your calendar, click menu button, and options
how many calendars do you see there, and if you click on each one, how many entries do each one have?
check and see if you have facebook 1.5 installed... go through its options, you may see some check boxes for facebook to take over calendar

  • I cannot see anyone's calendar

    HI Guys:
I have Lion Server on a Mac Mini, a MBP and an Ipad. I have a community calerdar set up on my server. On my MBP and Ipad I have the community calerdar loaded but I cannot see anyone's calendar. All I can see is the local calendar on each device.
In preferences on my MBP I have a CalDEV account set up (same for Ipad) and I have both local calendars checked along with the comminity calendar that is on the server.
I cannot see anything but the local calendar on either my MBP or my iPad.
Can anyone clue me in on why, or better yet tell me how to do this.
p.s. I have poured over the lion server documentation but I cannot find this step by step info anywhere.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me.
I've been having a similar problem with Safari pdf files despite downloading the latest Adobe Reader XI.
I would constantly get messages - There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.
I would also get a blank page when I tried to print the pdf if I tried printing from the Safari web page using File - Print from the top toolbar on my laptop.
Meanwhile I've managed to find a simple way around it.
Firstly, without downloading the pdf, I printed the pdf file direct from the Safari page by using the Print icon on the grey lozenge that appears centrally three quarters down the screen.
Then I discovered that if I save the pdf using the Save icon from this same grey lozenge on the Safari page I can open and print this pdf version from my desktop.
I've tested it with a couple of different pdf files and these methods work using the grey lozenge icons but the same pdfs files don't work using File - Save As on the Tool Bar.

  • Desktop Manager Has Stopped Working @ Processing Device Calendar During Sync Process

I have a BB 8330 and have an annoying issue....it sync'd with MS Outlook for about 2 months after i got it then I started getting an error inthe sync process "Blackberry Desktop Manager Has Stopped Working, Windows is shutting it Down"....this always happens at the exact same point inthe sync process..."Processing Device Calendar".
I've done everything, Verizon tech support...BB tech support...uninstall/reinstall...nothing has fixed it. I even deleted everything out of outlook and started over. The odd thing is that everything EXCEPT the calendar will sync....it's just when it gets to the "processing device calendar" is stops syncing and I get the 'DM Has stopped working' error and it closes.
I am going to scream if I can't get this fixed...it's been going on since last October!!
    Any fixes out there?

Hmm. That may be something in your calendar database is corrupt. Was your device ever synched before? There is a way of clearing the calendar database. So if you have your device synching with Outlook, after it's cleared from the BlackBerry, you could try synching again.
To clear the calendar database you can go into Desktop Manager | Backup and Restore | Advanced. On the right hand side select the calendar database and hit the Clear button. Afterwards try synching again

  • Cannot synch deleted emails no matter what I try

I cannot synch deleted emails on either of 2 personal accounts, nor the integrated account.  My current company does not have BES.  I have verified all the settings to synch deleted email on both the device and accessing my BB account on on internet.  According to Doc. ID KB13509, I should be able to do this with MSN email and my work email (IMAP).  I have had both the warranty centers at AT&T and AT&T referred to BB service support try to do this, and they all say my settings should be work but still no success.  Between the 2 accounts I receive about 150 - 200 emails a day, so if this doesn't synch with my laptop emails (using outlook 2007) I am sunk. My outlook is synch'd with the mail servers and that works fine.
Only 2 brute force solutions come to mind, delete all accounts and activate once a week, or try to synchronize from laptop outlook on a daily basis, both of which are really not acceptable since I travel a lot and find this extremely burdensome.  Please help

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
This should work to delete your emails from the server, when deleted from the BB.
Have you checked your settings at your BIS carrier login to "synchronize deleted messages between handheld and server"?
Are you also trying to sync those deletes to Outlook?

  • Synching ONE MobileMe calendar with TWO iphones

I keep reading that it's possible to synch a MobileMe calendar with TWO iphones but cannot find out HOW to do so. I presume that SHARING a calendar is different from SYNCHRONISING a calendar. Sharing a calendar seems to me to be cumbersome in that it involves sending an invitation which then must be specifically dealt with by the recipient. SYNCHRONISING a calendar though presumably means updating a calendar entry automatically. It works with one iphone. How can it be made to work with two iphones? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I cannot synch. songs from itunes to ipad 2 (have authorised computer). Also cannot tranfer apps from ipad to Mac despite authorising the computer. Any advice? Thanks.

I cannot synch songs from itunes on my Mac to my ipad 2. It worked the first time, but stripped them off on a subsequent synch and I cannot get it to work again. It synchs apps but not music. Also, despite authorising my computer, synching strips off apps. purchased on the ipad (i.e., it will not transfer them to the Mac). All very mystifying. Any help gratefully received (I have tried everything on the troubleshooting page of the ipad guide).
    Many thanks

Apple devices are designed to only allow you to sync to one itunes library at a time. If you try, it will replace everything on the deivce with the itunes library you are syncing to.
If she has already synced her ipad to another computer, then this is normal behavior.
It would be best to create a library just for her. If you can import/export the music and photos on the computer into her own itunes library.
Syncing multiple devices with one computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495
The reason that content from her ipad is showing up on your iphone is probably due to you both sharing the same apple id and having automatic downloads turned on in the settings.
You can turn this off by going to settings/itunes and app stores/automatic downloads/turn off
