I cannot transfer content from my Mac to iTunes, Please help!!!

I have followed the directions in support to open library and select file folder where audio book is located. I have also tried dragging and dropping the audiobook onto "Books" in the library. I am getting the plus + sign, but nothing downloads to ITunes. I need to do this so I can transfer the book to my IPod.

I just gave my daughter my 8 year old daughter my shuffle and i created a new playlist on itunes 10. I transfered it over and it was great. I upgraded the iTunes software to 11.0 and made changes to her kid friendly playlist on MacBook and deleted the playlist on the shuffle and wen to transfer and I could not transfer. It was very easy to do on iTunes 10 and now I need some help in figuring it out. Thanks for you help.

I figured it out... i needed to click on the music tab and had to check sync music selected playlist..... came through for my baby girl... peace here and in middle east..

I have a 5th generation iPod with video, a new laptop (Windows Vista) with the latest iTunes 10.4 installed and am trying to transfer entire contents to iTunes library. I have gone through help topics, discussions, manuals, etc. When I open My Computer and Select F: drive / iPod device my photo folders appear but none of the music files. My device does appear in iTunes but thats it. Since my previous laptop with the iTunes library associated with this iPod crashed a year ago, Im unable to access anything from previous library . I have been at this for 2+ hours, I hope someone is able to help me, please. Thanks.

How do i transfer content from my ipod to itunes without losing it?

My laptop crashed and as a result i've reinstalled vista, and subsequently itunes. I have re installed all my music onto the reinstalled itunes. However all the tv shows, movies, photos etc that are currently on my ipod are not backed up. Therefore i'm assuming the next time i plug in my ipod, the music will update but my tv, movie and photo content will be wiped from my ipod? Is there any way i can transfer that content from my ipod to my laptop/itunes without losing it?

I tried to drag tracks from my mac to the new itunes window, but it doesn't work. Import tracks from command "add to library" and open from it doesn't work too. I don't understand why. Anyone could help please ?

Trying to transfer songs from iPhone to my iTunes. Help!

I had iTunes with lots of songs and all of the songs are on my iPhone. Last week my computer crashed and I had to replace my hard-drive and memory, so I lost all of my music. I am trying to get all of my music back onto my computer and into iTunes. Some of the music was directly purchased from the iTunes store and I was able to transfer those into my iTunes library. But most of my music was burnt onto a CD and transferred to iTunes. When I try to sync my iPhone it says that is only able to sync with one iTunes at a time (i wasn't able to deauthorize my last iTunes due to computer failure) and that if I sync with this new iTunes I just downloaded it would erase everything on my iPhone and replace it with my new iTunes library. All of the music is on my iPhone and not in my iTunes and if I did this it would erase everything. Is there a way to get the songs that I did not purchase from the iTunes store onto my computer from my iPhone without losing any music??

The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod/iPhone. However there are couple of third party utilities for retrieving content that are advertised as iPhone compatible:

You will need to download a 3rd party application to do this. Apple does not support this directly. So try something like VersionTracker.com to search for iPod applications where you will find many choices for going from iPod to computer.

I have recently purchased a new laptop and i need to transfer all my files from my ipod on to it (especially music). i followed the instructions on the itunes/cloud page but when it said to "locate the item" none of the supposed "items" were there. i have purchased a lot of music from itunes and do not intend on losing my money. I also have a lot of other music i spent alot of time transferring from disc to ipod. my ipods software also needs updated from the old ios5(yes, 5!!) to ios6 as the software is starting to not work correctly. help would be very much appreciated as i feel like throwing my laptop out the window and telling apple to go do one.

I don't know which page that you looking at but you should be able to copy your iTunes purchases over from it via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. But music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs), then you don't have your music on a backup drive or your old computer (copying music , they should work for other content in your library as well) ? And for documents or other files you may be able to use the via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc - whatever the app that they are in supports.

Cannot send emails from Mail- using yahoo email - please help!!

I'm having major problems with my yahoo email in Mail. No matter what settings i seem to use, any emails i send take hours and hours to arrive. I seem to be receiving email, but cannot send- sometimes i get an error message, other times they go into sent box but take hours or days to arrive. i'm using a brand new imac version 10.5.2

If you’re sure your settings are exactly the same as on the computers where it works, here a couple of things that you may want to look at.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
Also, try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible, i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc., and see whether that makes a difference.
Mail keeps information about outgoing servers in a separate list, independently of any specific mail account. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there. The Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.

Deauthorizing all Macs in iTunes (please help)

I heard somewhere that it is possible to ask Apple to deauthorize all your Mac computers even if you have used the Deauthorize function once that same year.
In our family we have about 8 Macs between us, and I want to play some music from an old itunes account on my lovely new shiny macbook pro, however i have used up all 5 of the avialable 'accounts'.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this matter, if so can you help me or point me in the right direction

Flip4mac - need the intermediate payware version which lets you convert. Use with Quicktime player. Flip4Mac - http://dynamic.telestream.net/downloads/download-flip4macwmv.asp?prodid=flip4mac wmv - The free version will let Quicktime play but not convert Windows Media files.
After installation a new Flip4Mac pane will appear in System Preferences. Make sure you set the boxes to ensure that it will play WMV files in Quicktime.
VLC - not really a converter but will do some in the export menu but may be slow and a bit of a learning curve.
Explore online converters where you upload a file in one format and download in another.
