  • Cannot turn off bluetooth

I cannot turn off bluetooth, as the option to do that is greyed out (both in the bluetooth status in the menu bar and in the system preferences bluetooth tab).
    I have already
    · deleted the bluetooth prefs (in ~/Library/Preferences/ and /Library/Preferences)
    · reset the SMC several times
I am using 10.5.6 with all the latest patches and updates. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I am having exactly the same problem... I'm using the MacBook Pro 17", just purchased at Easter.
Wonder if the impending release of 10.5.7 might fix the problem... fingers crossed!

  • TS2634 hat has its bluetooth turned on? The other iphone cannot find my iphone either. I have turned on bluetooth on both iphones.

Why is my bluetooth on iphone cannot detect another iphone that its bluetooth has been turned on? The other iphone also cannot detect my iphone. Fyi, i have turned on the bluetooth on both iphones.

Because this is not & never has been a feature of any iPhone. There are some apps in the app store that permit peer-to-peer Bluetooth connectivity, but only for game playing or photo transfer. That's about it.

  • HT1414 Pressing on off button at top takes a screenshot. I cannot turn off or even reboot iphone

Pressing on off button at top takes a screenshot. No other buttons are pressed and I cannot turn off or even reboot the iPhone.
The home button will often do nothing or sometimes brings up Siri with a quick click Instead of the prolonged click and hold you normally need for Siri.
I've tried rebooting, resetting user data, and restoring the iPhone, with no change.
You think it's fixed itself but an hour later it will start doing the same thing again.
This happens a dozen or so times a day.
The only thing that will unlock the phone is waiting somewhere between one and five minutes at which point it will simply resolve itself for a while.
It doesn't seem to be associated with any one particular application. It can happen with any application.

Diesel, as I'd mentioned in my first post I'd tried that, although only from backup. I thought it fixed the problem but then it reappeared.
Interestingly enough, (and I don't normally condone tapping on a device), my friend gave it a good tap, this morning, and it started working instantly. Coinsidence? I didn't know. It's locked up numerous times since then during the day today, and I've tried his tapping technique again and it's worked every time. Now I don't know what to think. I didn't think there were any parts inside that would be effected by tapping it but this doesn't give me a warm feeling about the hardware inside.

  • Cannot turn off Bluetooth on B series (B320 i5)

Whenever the computer starts, the Bluetooth light will be turned on. Although I have removed all Bluetooth related applications and there is no Bluetooth device shown on Computer Device list.
I have checked BIOS. There is no way to turn-off, too.
Is there any way to turn-off Bluetooth light?
It is esstential that if the Bluetooth and Wifi lights are turned-on, my computer will be hanged very frequently even I restore from the original factory image.
Please advise what I can do. Thanks.

You may disable the Bluetooth device from the Device Manager if it helps you.
To uninstall the Bluetooth driver, you need uninstall it from the device manager and if prompts to delete installation folder please proceed.
After this please go to Control Panel and check for Bluetooth software, if it is there then uninstall it.
Please check this if it resolve the issue for you.
    Best Regard,
    Tanuj

    And then Don't Send
But EVERY time I sync, I get the same message!!! How do you turn this imp off?

    Hi,
Are you trying to update or restore the iPhone or are you just syncing it?
Try right-clicking the iPhone(on the left side of iTunes under Devices)> choose Reset Warnings.
Do you still see the message when syncing the iPhone?
If you haven't already, update to the latest version of iTunes and iPhone software.

  • How can I use Bluetooth on my iPhone to discover other phones?

I recently tried turning on Bluetooth on my iPhone to try to discover my wife's phone. My wife has a Samsung Eternity phone. Her phone was in discoverable mode and my iPhone never could discover it. I also tried this with my friend who has an iPhone and it still did not work. Is the Bluetooth on an iPhone not supposed to be used to connect two phones? I thought it was supposed to be used to connect to other phones, especially iPhones for gaming purposes. Please help me learn to use my Bluetooth correctly or inform me if the iPhone is not supposes to connect with other phones through Bluetooth.

If you check the iTunes Apps store and seem to recall that there is a program that will allow you to transfer Photo's between iPhones using Bluetooth. I stand to be corrected but is this not a feature of the new iPhone 3GS Ant..
