I cannot uninstall Firefox 3.4. Nothing seems to work. What can I do?

I reinstalled Firefox 4. However, it failed to install correctly. After that point, I could not uninstall it, I could not use it, and I could not reinstall it. I am completely befuddled.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.
~Remember, I am just giving an educated guess on limited information

There is currently a bug in Firefox Sync which is not letting users reset their passwords. Hopefully this bug will be fixed shortly.

I have recently bought a new laptop with windows 7 and when i have tried to install and open itunes i keep getting the message 'itunes has stopped working' itunes then shuts down before i can do anything to fix it. iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Ralph, Thanks for replying. There where no received SIP messages at all just the INVITE being sent but I have made some more progress. The mini does indeed just work. I can do everything that you are supposed to do to other ichat users on the internet. Very nice.
The imac is still playing up but I have got further. I had peerguardian2 installed which unknown to me doesn't need to be running to prevent you for accessing 'barred' IP addresses. snatmap.mac.com is barred in the lists! I discovered this when I saw one of your other posts showed how to turn on terminal logging for ichat. Now that I have turned off peerguardian2 (using the disable filters option) I can make calls to the testbot and see the adverts. I have even done a video conference with the two testbots. I will just uninstall peerguardian2.
However, I can not get a AV chat working to a real user....

I have tried all the options for quicktime streaming but will try 1.5Mb/s again.
The ichat bandwidth limit is set to "none". I am in New Zealand and I have standard ADSL (not ADSL2+) 7.6M down 512K up. The mini config is also set to none.
Internet sharing is off.
I have had parallels on the machine but the two interfaces that it installed "Parallels Host-Guest" and "Parallels NAT" are configured 'off' and show as not connected. Is this enough? I will uninstall parallels and see if that helps since I don't use it. I also have VMware's thing installed but that doesn't seem to add any interfaces.
I need to capture a full trace of the imac to other ichat user to see what is happening but will update when I have does your suggested changes or have a trace

Just bought 4th Gen.iPod shuffle from Amazon. My computer (Windows 7) wont recognise device, neither does iTunes. Have reinstalled iTunes, and nothing seems to work, Anyone have any ideas.

I have a 2nd generation iPod shuffle and that is recognised by computer. Anyone have any suggestions - I am at my wits end.

There is a USB printer connected to the back port of the PC. The mouse and keyboard are both PS/2.
I did attempt to reinstall the USB root drivers. After uninstalling iTunes and all the other apple software packages included, I uninstalled everything USB in Device Manager, then rebooted the PC to let Windows reinstall it all.
Reinstalling the OS -might- fix the issue, but if that were the case, it's most likely just a software conflict that can easily be fixed if I can manage to narrow the specific conflicts down. I've already essentially disabled everything with MSCONFIG except for Apple stuff, so I'm at a loss as to where to go. I've attempted the 5 Rs and all that as well, none of it seems to do the trick. I also cleared the temp folder multiple times (once per each iTunes uninstall / reinstall following the support site directions of uninstalling all the extra apple software) as well as attempted restarts of the Apple services.
One oddity I would like to point out is that if I attempt to restart the iPod service through services.msc, it will not restart. It throws the error message of "the service failed to respond in a timely fashion" or whatever. I instead have to use the windows Task Manager to manually kill the iPod process in the processes list.
I just now removed the USB printer and plugged the shuffle into the same port, but I receive the same error message in iTunes about the iPod being corrupted and it needing a restore. If I push restore, the software gets stuck in an endless loop. There are no other USB devices attached to this computer, the motherboard drivers are fully up to date from nVidia's website, and other USB devices clearly function just fine (USB memory sticks, USB printer, etc). If I use the Diagnostics option under Help in iTunes, it will claim there is no iPod connected, and, again, the iPod still does not show up in Windows Explorer under My Computer as an attached device, nor does it show up in Disk Management as a mounted partition.

I really have no idea what those error #'s mean or the messages. I think I installed Quicktime properly because I Q.time was installed at the same time itunes was being installed. Then when I went to click on the Quicktime icon in the control panel, it says: An exception occured while trying to run

Hi I had this happening to me on my work network PC. What I did to resolve it was go into the Windows folder, then the systems32 folder and in the systems folder look for the quicktime folder. I deleted the quick time folder there and itunes would open and work. Unfortunately for me is I have to do this every time I use itunes on this pc as the network I work on loads this file every night but at least I can fix it.
