I cannot update Illustrator - AIFM.DLL missing

I have been invited by Creative Cloud to update Illustrator CC(2014). But the update fails - Download error. Press retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)
When I try to start a previous version it will not start because aifm.dll is missing from my computer.
What should I do?

When I try to start a previous version from the Start menu it will not start because aifm.dll is missing from my computer.
I then found the program in Windows Explorer and started it by clicking on the Illustrator.exe file. I then clicked on Help / Updates and got the latest version.!!!
So I think the problem is with the Creative Cloud updater.

I Downloaded Illustrator CS6 as a trial. I started my creative cloud subscription after the trial had already expired and now for some reason I cannot update Illustrator. I need the latest update so i can get the new "package" feaute but the update option in the Help menu is greyed out. I tried using the application manager and I could not find out how to update it. Navigate to the above location based on Operating system and move the file "AdobeUpdaterPrefs.dat" to the desktop and then open Illustrator and check.

The latest iTunes update failed to install. The mobile device service does not respond. Error says MSVCR80.dll is missing. When I replace that dll in the System32 directory I get an error that the C library is being improperly accessed. Dead in the water. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with same error. Update failed msvcr80.dll missing

I tunes tried to update and failed.
Every since I get a missing msvcr80.dll message.
I have tried manually downloading and completely removeing I tunes and replacing.

Yes, everything is saved. The order in which things are removed may make a slight difference. (It did for me with an error on reboot until I'd reinstalled.) Try the following proceedure:
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Cannot update Flash due to missing plugin "application/getplusplusadobe16291"

I have the current version of Firefox and am trying to update Flash Player. The top of the Adobe download page shows missing plugins required to view all the content. When I try to install the missing plugins, they are listed as unknown with the above text. When I try to manually install and open gp.xpi it says it already exists and I say to replace and try to open the download and Adobe Reader says it cannot open because it is unsupported or has been damaged.

Cannot update Illustrator cc

I keep getting this error when I try to update (Adobe Illustrator CC Update (version 17.1.0) There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210). I have tried reinstalling cloud, reinstalling illustrator, restarting, and deleting aamupdater 1.0. I do not know what else to try anymore for this to work.

I have Illustrator 16.0.0, version 682 on my system.
When running the Updater, it end up with Installation fail, this update is not applicable for you.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

The only way I could fix the problem was to do a system restore back to when I had the 11.0.2 version and everything will work with that. You have a problem with version 11.0.3 installation. The same thing happened on 3 computers so I know it is this new version of adobe reader which is the problem.

It would be great, if you could provide us with the following details:
1. The OS you are working on.
2. The version of MS Office installed on your machine.
3. A screenshot of the error message along with the scenario in which the same is displayed.
4. How exactly did you go about updating Reader 11.0.02 to 11.0.03. Was it via the updater mechanism or by downloading the patch from the Adobe site.
Also, it would be great if you could let us know if there was any other Windows or Antivirus related updates applied on your machine in the same timeframe as the Reader update.
