I cannot use iTunes to sync my music to my iPhone with iOS7

After I update iTunes and my iPhone to iOS7. I cannot find the way to sync music to my phone
It indicate that I open iTunes Match, and not allow me to select playlists to be synced in my phone
How can I solve that? I tried to find way to turn off iTunes Match but it's not like in iOS6

If you have an iPhone 5, try a hard restart of the phone (holding the on/off and home buttons at the same time until the phone turns off then restarts.  Don't let go of either button until it begins to restart).  I was having the same problem and spent about an hour with Apple Support thru Chat.  That was what solved the problem.

  • My Windows XP computer becomes extremely slow when I try using iTunes. It cannot connect to iTunes Store. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but nothing changes. I cannot use iTunes or sync my iPod anymore. Please help.

I cannot use iTunes anymore. My computer becomes extremely slow or just freezes. I notice the problem started after I updated iTunes to a new version. I have tried uninstalling iTunes completely from my computer and installing it back, but problem continues. We iTunes launches, it tries to connect to iTunes store, but it doesn't seem to be able to do that either. I can't sync my iPod or play back my music, please help.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

I recently bought a new computer. My iPhone has amid of iTunes + Purchased. I burned a CD and want to put new music on it, but I also want to keep the ones currently on it. HELP!!

You need to move the iTunes Music Library from your old computer to your new one. Then you can add the new CD to iTunes and sync your device to it without losing anything you have already:

  • Cannot get iTunes to send my music to my iPhone 5

Not all of my music is syncing with my iPhone5. I have tried all of the normal suggestions- reset the OS, turned off the cloud, etc. Still have songs grayed out and am out of ideas. Any help?

This is how I corrected this problem with the iPhone 5.
Reinstalling the usb driver in win8 by going to device mgr/ portable devices.
Click update driver and and then directing the computer to search the apple folder ...
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

  • I recently purchased Windows 8 laptop and installed Office 2013. I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to the new PC, I got iTunes to import it and sync it to my iPod (3rd gen).  However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Contacts

I recently purchased a Windows 8 laptop and istalled Office 2013.  I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to my new PC I got iTunes to import it, and then synced it to my iPod (3rd gen.) However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Calendar or Contacts with my iPod.  When I try it crashes Outlook.  iTunes continues to try to sync, but when it finishes my Calendar and Contents are empty (ERASED!).  I have de-installed and re-installed iTunes (according to Apple's instructions), repaired Office 2013 and Outlook, scanned for viruses (etc), cleaned out temp folders, defragmented, etc., etc., etc. Has anyone seen this before, and does anyone know houw to fix it?  (HELP!)

  • This possible? ==   use iTunes to sync your contacts to Macbook contacts?

    Hi guys,
As I am unable to sync my contacts from Mobileme to my contacts in my macbook (my earlier post), a possible solution I was thinking of is if I am able to use iTunes and sync the contacts from my iphone into my contacts on my Macbook.
Is this possible and if so, can you tell me the steps please.... a million thanks

No. The iPhone stores no data on a sim card, thus there is no way to do what you want using iTunes.

  • How can I take music from an USB and transfer it to the iPod? It tells me use use itunes to sync but the music is on an USB drive. It had worked in the past. Tks

How can I transfer music from an USB drive to the iPod. I can see the music and play it on the computer, but the iPod tells me to use iTunes to sync. The music is not on iTunes. It has worked in the past.....tks

These are just playlists. The songs there are really not duplicates of the songs. They are just a different location for accessing them. Some playlists can be deleted, some cannot. Ones that are created by iTunes cannot be deleted. Ones that you create can be. The Recently Added and the 90's cannot.

  • It says please use itunes to sync music..

Just bought a new ipod shuffle.  I can listen to the songs from my mac, but when I eject, it says please use itunes to sync music.  I placed the button in the middle that didn't solve the issue.

In iTunes, is the sidebar (along left side of the window) visible?  If not, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, under DEVICES, when you connect both shuffles at the same time, both should be listed there, but only one of them appears, correct?
The blinking orange light means the shuffle's disk is mounted, so it is definitely connecting.  And you said earlier that it appears in My Computer.  What you should try is a Restore.  However, you cannot do a Restore, unless it appears in iTunes.  So, you may want to try erasing (reformatting) the shuffle using Windows, like it was a USB flash drive.  When you do this, iTunes should not be running.  Select FAT (or FAT32) as the disk format.  If there is a choice to do a quick format, select to do a full format.
Then, run iTunes with only this one shuffle connected.  iTunes may prompt you to do a Restore.  If that happens, do the Restore, which re-erases the shuffle, put its software back on, and sets it to default settings.  If you are not prompted, but the shuffle now appears in iTunes, select it and do a Restore from the shuffle's Summary screen.
If that does not help either, you should contact Apple to get it replaced.  If there is an Apple Store nearby, you can make a reservation at the store's Genuis Bar and take it there.  Depending on where you purchased it (and how long ago it was), you may also be able to just return it for refund, and buy another one.

  • I bought an ipd shuffle for my daughter. I have old songs from frostwire that I downloaded on the shuffle.  When I try to play the songs, I get "Please use Itunes to sync music".  What does that mean?

I bought an ipod shuffle and downloaded old limewire songs onto it. The ipod says "Please use itunes to sync music".  What does that mean? Do I have to download from Itunes only?  thanks,  Jester

    Dear jester,
Apple created iTunes to try and stop piracy, and if you look at the lime wire site, it says they were shut down for piracy.
You will have you buy all the music through iTunes or you can download music to iTunes from a CD.
    I hope this help you.

  • "Please use iTunes to sync music"... uh, I have music

Never had this issue before. I have a shuffle from 09' and today I decided to add a few songs... when plugged in iTunes recognizes the shuffle and shows my music on the device.
When I eject it and attempt to listen to music, the only thing I hear is "Please use iTunes to sync music"
    Any one have any ideas?
FYI, I just upgraded to the newest version of iTunes.
Based off of my experience, I'd say iTunes is the issue

You may have inadvertently synced an app to your phone that was purchased with her ID.  That would trigger a prompt for her ID password when updating.  If that's the case, you would need to delete it from your phone.

You don't need to delete anything from your phone or you old computer.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer or backup to /Music/ on new computer.
If you cannot use the old computer or don't have a backup...
-> Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Then immediately make a backup of your new computer.
Get an external drive and plug it in and use -> Time Machine

I have over 1000 songs on my iphone and want to back it up on my mac itunes
Want to upgrade my iphone and dont want to loose my music and ideally want to import it onto my new iphone
    Need help?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss.  To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
