When I add my debit card to the app store. It will reject my card and say " The Billing of the previous protease has failed because your payment card was Declined. Please update a new card." some thing like that. So I need to add my card to app store.

Why won't Apple accept debit cards? I ordered 2 new iPhones at ATT on Monday using my debit card. I was just notified by ATT that Apple wont accept debit cards so my order cannot go through. I don't use credit cards so I don't carry debt!

I think this is an AT&T thing not an Apple policy, I had this battle with them before when the 4s came out.So this time I went directly to the Apple stor, I had no problem pre-ordering my Iphone5 on the 14th with my debit card, already shipped will be here the 21st. I am certain that the details I have entered are right. This keeps on showing up: "The bank that issued your card didn't approve this transaction. The debit card must be the type of debit card that can also be used as a credit card and contains one of the logos listed in that article (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.). Otherwise, that would be correct.
Having familiarity with the message the OP is receiving, he/she can contact the iTunes Store directly to inquire about why the message is being received, and they may be able to provide some clarification on what is going on. In the meantime, a different card that has one of those logos that is applicable for their country of residence will have to be used.
If the message says something alone the lines of "your credit card was declined," it would be an issue that would have to be resolved by the financial institution instead.

Why can't I just use my debit card for adding my child to family share?!

I want to use my child on family share but can't because I don't need or want a credit card, my bank has fraud protection, who actually just called me about fraud because I purchased the newest iPhone! I don't like credit cards. Why can't I just use my debit card as usual? Kids can get credit cards just as easily as they can debit cards! This is ridiculous. Why isn't there another option to verify I am the parent?! I am so beyond angry right now. Like I am being punished for not owning a credit card!! Otherwise there will be another way to do this. A person should have the freedom to use their chosen form of payment without missing out on all the options available. Honestly even if I wanted a credit card I haven't enough credit because of past mistakes. So this is not making me happy at all.

I feel your pain. We refuse to have credit cards, too; yet it's required in order to create a child's apple id. I will most definitely be leaving feedback with Apple. This is absolutely ridiculous that we can't just use our debit cards! Mine is a VISA. I use it to make CREDIT CARD transactions everywhere else, why not be able to use it the same way here!?
I just had to restore my sons phone because he forgot his 4-digit password and got it disabled. I didn't have it already on my itunes so my only option was to restore it. I wanted to create his own apple id so he didn't have to keep using mine. Because every time he downloads a new game it automatically ends up on MY device as well, not just his. Anyway, he needs his own apple id. But, apparently, that won't be happening until Apple gets their heads out of their butts and figures out how to serve ALL of their customers!

The process requires that I use a credit card to verify my age, but I don't use credit cards (purposefully) so I entered my bank debit card. It says I can't use a debit card, it must be a credit card. That is ridiculous, a bank card should be better proof than a credit card, and many people I know do not use credit cards purposefully. You can't tell which device a purhcase was made on, but if your family members each have their own iTunes account to which your card is linked then you can check the purchase history on each of those accounts via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes - that should have 'purchase history' section with a 'see all' link to the right of it

Whether you can use a debit card depends upon what country that you are in, have you tried adding it to your account to see if it's accepted ? If not then are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you can use them as your payment method - they are not available in all countries and they are country-specific, they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue.
