Has anybody used the Camera RAW filter on an OpenEXR, HDR or similar floating point color image?

I often work on floating point images rendered out of 3ds Max, specifically OpenEXRs, and I have been lately using the Camera RAW filter to do some image adjustments. There is one problem though, the float image does not load correctly into Camera RAW. It looks slightly over-exposed when loaded and it is nearly impossible to get it back to "scratch". Is Camera RAW not fully float capable? Camera RAW is a drunkard compositor's dream when doing color corrections on a floating point image, especially an image rendered out of a 3D application such as 3ds Max or Maya. Any thoughts?

For what it's worth I have seen this going back a loooong time. I've posted on the subject as well and have never gotten a solid answer. It just appears as though Photoshop considers it "already open, so no need to open it twice". I believe an uninitialized variable could be involved, since it's intermittent.
I have found a couple of choices for workarounds or workflow changes...
1. You can save the first-opened document opened (e.g., as a .PSD) somewhere. Then reopening the raw file will always open a second document.
2. You could consider opening the raw file just once, duplicating it as a second layer, then use Camera Raw as a filter. Obviously that doesn't avail Camera Raw of the raw data, but its usefulness depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

I cannot access the camera raw as a filter function in PS CC.

Am I missing something? I've seen videos where you can change a layer to smart filter and then use camera raw, but I don't have this option available. In addition, while in camera raw I do not have the same features as the videos from Terry White in terms of fixing vertical and horizontal lines. I have the sliders in lens correction but not the icon buttons.

Using the Camera RAW interface for JPEG images

I realize JPEG's don't have the information level of RAW files, but does the convenience and speed of the RAW interface not make it worth using rather then going to the usual tools like Levels and Hue/Saturation? I discovered that you can open JPEG images in the RAW interface by choosing File > Open As...and selecting "Camera RAW" as the file format. Here you can not only use the RAW interface but also change the image to 16-bits. I also understand that upscaling an image from 8 to 16-bits doesn't add more information, but would working on it in the RAW interface at 16-bits not produce more subtle changes and give you more control over the outcome.
Looking forward to some intelligent feedback.

From a mathematical perspective, it would seem that using the extra information in the up-sampling interpolation calculations would be better. The question is whether or not the extra digits in the calculation would produce a difference in the image. I suspect that it would be quite image dependent. Easy enough to test, with the right kind of image, whatever that is?

Using the Camera Raw Filter from photoshop cc 2014, I dont get all the tools, e.g. crop icon is not available. Are some features restricted?

I only seem to have 10 icons (features) available to use, for example the crop or straighten features are missing. Are these features restricted by some settings?

I don't work for Sony - just another frustrated customer trying to help. Just pointing out that Mirrorlink not working with iPhone is the one thing that Sony has no control over. The things they do have control over (TERRIBLE firmware that limits features and makes the unit difficult to operate) they haven't fixed so far. And by the way, you're not missing much with Mirrorlink on this unit. For the phones it does work for (which include mine, but only after installing a tweaked OS and an app that hasn't even been released in the US), it's buggy at best. I bought the unit partially to be able to use my phone for navigation, but in Mirrorlink the FM or XM radio cut out so I can either navigate or listen to music. I'm hoping for a firmware fix that solves this and A LOT of other issues...

I went through the process of spec-ing the product, and got to the check-out page. None of the amounts would be listed. No quantity, no prices. I had to use Internet Explorer as my browser to complete my order.

The Camera Raw button in my Adobe Bridge has quit working and all my raw files are hidden by a cover that says PEF and has a camera raw icon on it. I can open the files in camera raw if I double click on the file but I want to see the files and be able to use the camera raw button. How can I fix it?

This means you have not the correct ACR plug in to support your PEF files or no ACR plug in installed at all.
In photoshop go to the menu Photoshop / About Plug ins / Camera Raw.
Here should be showing the version number of your ACR plug in (only 1 version should show btw)
Then go to this site and check wether your camera is listed and what minimal version you need to open the files:

I'm having trouble taking a landscape with the Camera Fill Feature. What am I doing wrong?

The application interface rotates to a landscape orientation automatically when using the Camera Fill feature, simply holding the phone itself in a horizontal orientation before entering the Camera Fill mode gives the most predictable results.

Double check all your audio settings.
System Preferences --> Sound --> Input should be set to your audio interface.
GB --> Preferences --> Audio/MIDI --> Input should be set to your audio interface.
With your track selected, open the Track Info pane, and select the Edit tab. Under input make sure that Mono 1 or 2 is selected (which number will depend on which input you plugged your bass cable into).
