I don't work for Sony - just another frustrated customer trying to help. Just pointing out that Mirrorlink not working with iPhone is the one thing that Sony has no control over. The things they do have control over (TERRIBLE firmware that limits features and makes the unit difficult to operate) they haven't fixed so far. And by the way, you're not missing much with Mirrorlink on this unit. For the phones it does work for (which include mine, but only after installing a tweaked OS and an app that hasn't even been released in the US), it's buggy at best. I bought the unit partially to be able to use my phone for navigation, but in Mirrorlink the FM or XM radio cut out so I can either navigate or listen to music. I'm hoping for a firmware fix that solves this and A LOT of other issues...

I am having a similar problem. I have over 4000 songs giving me this error. I certainily don't want to go in one by one and find them. I know you wrote a script for Windows but I am a Mac user. Is there a fix for me? Here is the info on where the song is currently (used by doing the get info)

When I make an outgoing call the recipient cannot hear as though the volume were turned down Lowe. However when I use my speaker phone function the recipient can hear at normal volume. Is there a fix for this issue? Thanks Teresa

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

Only an Apple Store or an authorized Apple Service Provider can determine if a repair is economically justifiable. It may be as simple as a dislodged display cable.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

I cannot use the Quick Links area to use redeem, although my name appears and the balance from my account (itunes card) appear. I need to upgrade to 10.7 and cannot enter the s/n because of this issue. Please help!

I'm going crazy. I've tried everything including reinstalling App Store, running MacOSXUpdCombo, and every thing I can find on the Support site. I need to be able to use the redeem functionality to enter the serial number for my paid upgrade to Lion.
iTunes seems to work fine with redeem, but I receive an error stating that I can only update the os by using the App Store.
Could this have anything to do with my having 2 apple IDs? I have one from my original purchase of a MacAir and I have another that is attached to my iMac, Apple TV, and my other devices. I hate that I can't merge my IDs.

Select your HD, select First Aid, run *Repair Disk Permissions*.

There are a couple of places where the Apple ID is used, so the first thing I would suggest is to go to the appleid.apple.com website and make sure everything is up to date there. Then, sign out of your iTunes Store Account and sign back in with the correct Apple ID and password. Finally, look at the settings for your Computer Administrator account and make sure that is correct as well. I'm including a few articles for you that explain this information in more detail.

Mail is linking unrelated emails into conversation threads - is there a fix for this?

Mail is putting unrelated email messages into conversation threads. This is making it hard for me to find emails relating to different projects. The emails don't have anything in common apart from being addressed to me - different senders, subject lines, no content in common. I like working with conversations, but this is a pain.
I've seen several discussions online about this issue going back some years, so it's a real shame Apple haven't found a fix for this. I've read a couple of recent discussions here that link this issue to Yosemite - however I'm not using Yosemite (it's a work computer and they are slow to allow us to upgrade). My details are as follows:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
OS Mountain Lion 10.8.5
Mail v6.6
I know how to switch off 'Organize by conversations' in the View menu, but that isn't fixing the problem, it's taking away functionality that I like. I have tried unchecking 'Include related messages' in Preferences, but that doesn't change anything. I've tried rebuilding the Mailbox, nothing changed.
One thing that I hope Apple developers take note of - there doesn't seem to be a way to manually disassociate individual email messages from threads. That function would be really useful.
Anyone got any ideas?

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Can I use two non-apple displays on my G5? Is there an adaptor for this?

I found a great deal on two non-Apple wide screen displays. I can hook up one to my G5 via the DVI port but can't use the second port--typically used by an Apple Display. Is there an adaptor that I can use so that I can use my second non-apple display?
