I cannot view a website on my macbook pro.
I am trying to customize a furniture color on the ethan allen website, but when I click the link it says error! Micro*D furniture Inc. www.eprevue.net. When I use my iPhone this error doesn't happen. What could possibly be the problem?
How are you connecting it?

Cannot View Video In Monitors on MacBook Pro
After upgrading to this last 2014 release, I can no longer see any videos in the source monitors in my previous projects or new projects. When I close Premiere, it hangs and must be forced to quit, after which is displays a message stating that a serious error has occurred. No kidding. Is this a known issue with Macs & this new version?
thxHello,
This problems seems intermittent... I kept restarting PP yesterday and got it to work; pretty strange though as this has never happened before. That makes 2 occasions though after updating PP this has happenned. I'm running:
PP 2014.2
Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.1, 16GB ram, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB, Crucial M500 SSD
It seems to happen regardless of footage types in project. No third party codecs. Using Mercury Playback.
When this happens, PP shows the missing footage message in the production monitor, and just shows a black screen in the source monitor.

I cannot open a specific website on my MacBook Pro.
About two weeks ago, I started having an issue where I cannot connect to a particular website from my MacBook Pro. Until this time, I had no problem connecting to the site and did so at least once each day.
Environment:
Running MacBook Pro Retina 15" early 2013 with OS X Mavericks.
My Internet provider is Comcast Xfinity.
My router is an Asus Wireless RT-AC 68R.
The website I'm trying to connect to is a secure website (HTTPS).
Issue Description
When I try connecting to the website, I get no response from the site and eventually get an error message saying the website is not available.
The problem happens with every browser I use - Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.
I have no problem connecting to any other websites.
I've tried flushing the DNS cache by running sudo dscacheutil -flushcache in Terminal.
I've tried manually setting my DNS servers to OpenDNS.
I've tried manually adding and deleting the site's certificate.
I run a Windows 7 machine alongside OS X inside VMware Fusion (not using BootCamp) and can access the website without a problem in Chrome and IE in the Windows machine.
I can connect to this website on every other computer on my network.
I experience the problem both connected wirelessly and via Ethernet.
Anyone have any thoughts as to what might be causing this or something else for me to try?
Thanks,
TimThat is likely a DNS issue with your service provider. Is the device on wifi or mobile network?

How do I transfer a downloaded offline website from my macbook pro to an ipad2?
I want my sales team to use an ipad2 to sell and present our products. I have a website built that fully works offline which is our catalog.
Now I want to transfer that website from my macbook pro onto a 'master ipad' so I can then sync up the other ipads with the 'master ipad'.
How do I transfer the site to the ipad?Have you tried resetting the iPhone and rebooting the Mac? I don't think iPhoto has an import size limitation, but if you still have trouble then perhaps using a cloud service like Dropbox as an intermediary will get the job done.

I cannot print in color from my MacBook Pro to my hpdeskjet 6122
hi FalconMom,
EWS stands for Embedded Web Server. You will be able to access the printer EWS if it is connected to the same network as your PC or notebook. Here are the instructions to connect to EWS.
Open the embedded Web server
You can access the embedded Web server via either the network or Wi-Fi Direct.
To open the embedded Web server via network
NOTE: The printer must be on a network and must have an IP address. The IP address for the
printer can be found by pressing the Wireless icon or by printing a network configuration page.
In a supported Web browser on your computer, type the IP address or hostname that has been assigned to the printer. For example, if the IP address is 192.168.0.12, type the following address into a Web browser:
http://192.168.0.12.
To open the embedded Web server using Wi-Fi Direct
From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch (Settings).
If the display shows that Wi-Fi Direct is Off, touch Wi-Fi Direct and then switch it on.
From your wireless computer, turn wireless on, search for and connect to the Wi-Fi Direct name,
for example: DIRECT-**- HP Officejet-5740 (where ** are the unique characters to identify your
printer). Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password when prompted.
In a supported Web browser on your computer, type the following address: http://192.168.223.1.

Recent convert to Apple. Previously, I backed up my family pictures from PC to an external hard drive, a WD MyBook 3T. I can view the pics on my Macbook Pro, but I can't add new pictures. I'm sure this is a format issue, any easy way to correct it?
Install NTFS 3G
http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/
If you were going to be reading and writing to a NTFS System Partition, you might have to worry about the instability messing up the operating system. However, you are reading/writing from a non system, backup device so you don't have to worry about screwing up an operating system.
I would still temporarily move my data to another device and reformat the drive for Mac OS X Extended. -
How do i block website from my macbook pro
how do i block website from my macbook pro?
It's an very old and simple question! There are two ways that you can use to block websites on your Macbook Pro:
1. Enable the Parental Control on your Macbook Pro, choose the app you don't want your kids to use.
2. Install the Internet filter software for Mac that can help you block any unwanted websites automatically. -

Macbook cannot view specific websites
I am running OS X 10.4.11 on an Intel-based Macbook. I cannot view some specific websites, like www.facebook.com, www.commonapp.org, and apple's own discussion forums, regardless of the browser. I have used Firefox, Safari, and Opera. All have the same problem. The frontpage to the sites will load if I set them as my homepage.
Is there any possible reason this could be happening? I have looked online and others have experienced this problem but no one seems to have a solution. I am in the midst of the college application process, and the deadline is January 1. All of the applications are online and I can't access the website. Any help would be appreciated
ThanksWelcome to the Apple Discussions!
You might need to provide us with a little more information about your Internet connection. Are you using dial-up via the USB modem? Are you connected via Ethernet to a cable or DSL modem? Are you connecting wirelessly through an Apple AirPort device? Or a third party wireless router? What happens if you skip the wireless router and connect your MacBook directly to the DSL or cable modem with Ethernet? Have you tried moving your MacBook to a new location that has Wi-Fi? Have you contacted your Internet Service Provider? Clearly, Apple is not blocking access to their own Discussion forums to people using Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger).

P.S. I'm going to ask the Hosts/Moderators to move this topic to the "original" MacBook forum. Since no one in this Aluminum MacBook forum is using Mac OS X 10.4. -
Viewing lan sites hosted on macbook pro (apache) via wifi router
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Hope you can help.
I've my macbook pro (Lion) set up to serve several websites locally. In the httpd-vhosts.config I've got the addresses set up:
<VirtualHost *:80>
etc.,
ServerAlias site.localhostname.lan
</VirtualHost>
I have a netbook (Windows 7) which via my router (wifi) I can view these sites such as... http://site.localhostname.lan
My wifi only iPad (iOS 5.1.1) also connected to the router however tells me the server cannot be found after inputting the .lan address ...
Any pointers would be gratefully received, thank you.Just an update. I'm doing my best to resolve this myself.
localhostname.lan works (takes my iPad to the Sites folder on the macbook).
So this is where I'm at, wondering why the ServerAlias (and DocumentRoot) in the config file (mentioned above) is being ignored. Don't know if I'm on a wild goose chase with this.
I found another thread in here which seemed to focus on MAMP (something I've never used, always used the native Apache server).
I'll keep searching and hoping someone will be able to help out a bit, thank you. -
Cannot install Yosemite to my 2012 Macbook Pro
I currently have OS X 10.9.5. Every time I try and install Yosemite the install fails and provides me with an error log. I have re-downloaded Yosemite and tried again, I also make sure my power supply is plugged in when downloading/installing.
Very frustrating as I cannot get a Genius bar appointment to sort this. It's ridiculously long but I currently have no other options so have pasted my error log below. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Oct 20 06:You could try creating a USB boot disk and install from there. How-to: http://arstechnica.com/apple/2014/10/how-to-make-your-own-bootable-os-x-10-10-yo semite-usb-install-drive/
I recommend the "The only-slightly-less-easy way" from the article, it's actually easier in my opinion.
Edit: Official instructions for installing Mavericks here: Creating a bootable OS X installer in OS X Mavericks . Refer to article above for copy-paste procedure for Yosemite. -
Keynote '09 Light table view causes crash on Retina MacBook Pro
I just discovered a problem with Keynote '09 (V. 5.1.1, build 1034) on my MacBook Pro 15'' Retina (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7; 16 GB RAM, 1600 MHz DDR3, under Lion version 10.7.4). More often than not, when I go into "Light Table" view, Keynote suddenly crashes with a dialog box quickly flashing on and off, so rapidly that it cannot be read. The only way out of Keynote when this happens is to Force Quit. This does not happen on any of my other Macs (MB Air, iMac, older MB Pro). I suspect it has something to do with the Retina display model. Any advice?
More about my post: Actually, I since discovered the problem occurs on another computer running Snow Leopard and appears to be unique to this one Keynote document. I solved my own problem by copying the screens from the allegedly-corrupt document to a new document. There is no problem with Light Table mode in the new document. Never had this problem with Keynote before, which I've been using more than any almost any other app since 2006 in connection with my work.
