  • Cannot view images in emails on Safari or Firefox

I cannot view images in emails on multiple accounts from different sites (Gmail, AOL Mail, Hotmail) on Safari and Firefox on my Macbook. When I click "Show Content" on the emails to unblock the spam protection, either all of the images don't show up and instead I get the "?" boxes or only some of the images show up. Can anyone help me out? I have an important email I need to print out but need to see all the images before doing so (plus, it's just plain annoying). Thanks.

I have the same problem. Since a while I can no longer view images in html emails even though it was set to do so in the prefs. I am considering ditching the plist file but am concerned that I will lose more valuable info (like account passwords and such). What does the pref file (plist) hold?

  • I am having difficulty downloading attachments (i.e. pdfs, photos) from email. Is there a way to improve this process?

I am having difficulty downloading attachments (i.e. pdfs, photos) from email. Is there any way to make this process faster? Thanks!

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Use the Settings app tO check what's in your email account information.
Ssettings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Tap on your email account > in the Account Information is your name or your husbands name listed in the first line?
if your husbands name is there change it to your name.

  • TS3274 When sending a photo by email, the receiver gets the photo upside down.  Why is this and what can I do to correct the error please?

When sending a photo from my iPad with an email, the receiver gets the photo upside down.  Why is this and what can I do to correct the error please?

I venture to say the recipient is a Windoze user and if so, state of the art Windoze ignores or doesn't recognize photo orientation data that is included with a photo's EXIF data.
There are 3rd party photo viewing apps that provide for this but not incorporated with Microsoft software.

  • I cannot view my yahoo email in my iPad in box

I Deleted my yahoo email account and re-installed it. But I still do not receive emails on my iPad. I have to open my yahoo email on safari to view my yahoo email. This problem started about one week ago. Previously I received my yahoo email on my iPad with no problem.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • Problem sending photos by Email.  Received a response from T. Devlin.  Did not solve problem.  I had already done what he suggested.

I had already entered my Email info under preferences.
The screen comes up with the photos I want to send.
I type my message and hit Send.  The blue bar appears "Sending".
However,  don't know where the photos go, they don't reach destination.
I tried sending to myself at another Email address - they didn't arrive, and they are not shown under Sent Emails either.
    How to resolve?
Tried to respond to T. Devlin - but that didn't happen either.  Just a Like symbol was there (as in Facebook).

You are referring to this discussion, right?
Problem sending photos via email since I recently updated to iLife 11.
Which MacOS X version are you using and which iPhoto version?
If you are using Yosemite and have enabled up two-step verification for iCloud?  Then you may need to create an application specific password for iPhoto.  See this discussion:  Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)  Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)

  • Cannot view images in emails

8830 phone from Alltel. When I read an email message that contains an image, all I see is the text of the link to the image and not the image itself. Is there a setting I can change that will let me view images in emails?
    Thanks,
    Peter

This depends on two factors. One your device OS need to be 4.5 of higher and second your carrier need to have BIS 2.5 (which can be considered done by now). If you don't have OS 4.5 of higher then consider upgrading your device OS version.

  • Outlook 2010 - Cannot view Plain Text Emails

Client running windows 7 and outlook 2010
Inbound emails in plain text show up with a blank body.
If the user logs into OWA, can see the emails fine
If i open outlook in safe mode, can see the emails fine
If i forward the email to another client, can see the email fine
If i set outlook to view all as plain text, then every email has a blank body
Have tried to disable all add ins
    Have tried clean boot
    Have tried office repair
Have tried removed Symantec AV from the client.
This is an isolated incident with 1 user out of nearly 1000.  I believe this is something local on the computer
Also have tried deleting profile and re-adding
Also - if i set this user up on another machine and configure outlook, they can view the emails fine

    Hi,
Since Office 2007, in Outlook the messages are rendered by Word not Internet Explorer. The issue seems to be more related to Word program.
Try disabling all the add-ins in Word.
    Then repair Office programs.
Clear the settings by following the steps in the article below:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921541
Rename the NormalEmail.dotm file in the following location:
    %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

  • Can I move photos around in iPad?  There are some photos in camera roll, are those the ones I took with iPad?  Then there are some that are imported-I guess those are the ones from my camera.  Can I combine them into different albums?  Thanks

Can I mover photos around in iPad?  There are photos on the camera roll-are those the ones I took with iPad?  Then there are the ones labeled as imported-I guess those are the ones I took with my camera?  Can I combine pictures from both into one album?  Thanks.

At the moment no, you cannot move photos between albums in the Photos app directly on the iPad - but with iOS 5 (which will be free to download) in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device.

  • Cannot view new incoming email

I can send mail to my wife's iBook from my MacBook and she can receive outside messages as well. The correct number of messages show up in the left hand inbox column but they don't show up and cannot be viewed in the message window. I can view them online so I know they are there somewhere. Comcast helped me verify correct settings but otherwise had no solution for me. Any ideas?

Hi, and a warm welcome to the forums... (is that Cobitus or Botia?)!
I just helped another Comcast user tha thought it was on Comcast's end, as it just started working right, but a Couple more things to try...

  • Cannot view html in email attachments

While receiving email through MS Exchange emails with html attachments when tried to view will only display as html  but not as a document. I talked to an Apple Tech and they said to try to remove and reinstall the exchance client on the ipone. I don't think that will be the answer

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my baffling dilemma. Unfortunately I have no idea what to do with your advice? Is ContentID cid something that I have control over? I suspect that the answer to my problem is elemental and is something very seldom considered by rocket scientist or other like minded intellectuals. It is a reoccurring problem which suggests that it is a fundamental settings error which should be easily solved. I simply need to know which button to press. It is not my intention to appear flippant but simplicity in any response would be appreciated. ,
