I canont register external HDD - serial number can't be found

Help to find the serial number.

I bought an external hard drive 1 TB. The seller said the hard drive to register on your site. Here is the link: https://www.toshiba.es/registration/registration-form/
I pass the link, insert the serial number of writes that this number does not exist. What to do?

    Not weird if it's NOT an Apple Product as Apple has pointed out.
    So you bought it from a Student not from an Apple store or Reseller. Did you see the Receipt for it? Do you know where whoever you bought it from got it?
    Maybe it fell off the back of a trunk and Apple has written those serial # out of it's database which = No service  or support.

    You need to ask the previous owner to remove the activation lock. If you can't(and they don't do it on their own), the device is useless to you.

    I'm developing a AIR application. I'm implementing the product key mechanishm. I need to identify the users' machines uniquely. I chose MAC address would be a better way. But a computer has list of MAC addresses including LAN card and Wi-Fi card addresses. So, I need to get the list of available MAC addresses from the computer and the Hard Disk Drive's serial number. HDD serial number would be helpful to cross verify the identity.
    I'm able to get the MAC address using NetworkInfo class. But I need to get a list of available MAC addresses and HDD serial number.
    Is there any classess to accomplish this task?

    If you bought it from the Apple Online Store call them, Contacts are listed in the bottom right of this page. If you bought it from a particular Apple Store you will need to call that store.

    No! Apple is not law enforcement and therefore does not have personal investigating lost or stolen property other than Apple's own.
    Even if they had the information data protection laws would prevent them from giving it to you or anybody else including law enforcement.

    I guess you have posted on the wrong forum. This forum is for Photoshop Elements and your query seems to be more related to Ps Lightroom.
    Anyways, not sure about the legal implications, but technically Adobe allows the users to use the product with same serial number on two machines so as far as you have a valid and legitimate serial number registered in your name, YOU can use the product on two machines.
    I am although slightly confused when you say "1 employee..." and "not be for commercial use..".
