It keeps giving an error saying something about itunes. I checked my info and everything is current and up to date. Any ideas? I can buy games fine but can't do in app purchases.

It says to contact itunes support to finish the transaction. I click ok and it has a list of possible causes to the problem. It says we have encountered an error in trying to process this transaction. possible causes are: apple id not correct, clock set wrong, missing credit card. I have tried all of the solutions it lists and cannot find one tht works. I tried to do a screen shot and post it on here but it wont let me.

Where are you located and what iTunes store (nation) are you logged into? You can't use a Brazilian card, with Brazilian billing address if not in Brazil.

Two words of advice, it is much easier to read lower case than capitals. Secondly, never quote your email address publicly like this to prevent it from being harvested. The same applies to your telephone.
As a first step, do a Reset - hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 15 seconds.
Next, u go into your account again and try changing the method of payment to None. If you get past this then download any free app. If successful, go back into your account and enter your credit card details again and see what happens.

Both the button and the total cost appear to have been removed in the current version of iTunes - I don't have them either and other people have posted about it as well. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe they'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

Have you checked your email's spam folder to make sure an email from Apple has not been put in there?

- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

They normally reply within 24 hours.

Another option, if your eMac has USB 2.0 is a USB plug in WiFi adapter.
This will have software that's needed for this device to be recognized and work, also.
It maybe software on CD or a download from a website.
Do a search for USB WiFi adapters Mac OS X.
On another note:
Can't believe we still can't edit posts on iOS mobile devices, like the iPad.
It's a pain to have to go back to my Mac if I make a major editing issue.

You had said something about needing an adaptor for whatever external device you use to back up your files. My external drive is Firewire, and I'm wondering if you know whether I'll need an adaptor for that as well?
