I cant call or hear people on my iphone 4. Can you help please
When people call I cant't hear them and they can't hear me but it states it is calling and rings. I have restore it to factory settings but still does not work.
Silly question. Did you remove the shipping protective sheet from the front and back of the phone? My wife didn't and as a result she could not hear and taking pictures with the flash resulted in fogged our pictures.

What are you trying to AirPlay to? The AirPlay icon only appears if you have an AirPlay receiver ready to accept the media from the iPod.

since i have updated to IOS 7.1 my phone no longer can make calls, connect using 3G or send text messages. has anyone else had this trouble? i've tried resetting the phone, but had no luck. i can recieve calls and texts, but cannot make calls, text or use the 3G.

MY IPHONE 4 which has been working perfectly well has developed a fault on calls.
It will make calls OK and they can hear me perfectly but I CANNOT HEAR THEM AT ALL.

My son jut told me that his phone (same as mine) did the same thing and then resolved a little while later. I guess I might just have to wait and see.

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
