  • My Old phone still has the service on it and i cant call out

    So my old phone was chamged to a samsung from an iphone and wel the IPhone still says veriozn and i cant sell it unless the Veriozn goes away when will it go away

    It will always show Verizon and your bars of service. This is a federal law that requires cell phones be able to access the network for 911 calls. As long you can't make any other calls with it it is fine to activate on another Verizon Wireless number.

  • BT engineer call out causes chaos

    Hi, I'm currently in dispute with BT regarding a £130 engineer call out charge that has been applied to me bill.
    The charge relates to a call out where an engineer visited to try and resolve a poor quality line.  In the process he disconnected our internal phone extension sockets (blaming them for the problem), called his Dad in for back-up and then advised us that we'd be better off calling an electrician than BT.
    Several months later we have now had the problem resolved through our broadband provider - it turned out to be a BT line issue with the local telegraph pole.
    I've found the customer support from BT shocking - the arrogance and lack of customer care is second to none.  I'd be grateful for advice on how to resolve this issue.  Given the level of problem it has caused and BT's approach to date, I would be very willing to pursue this via the small claims court or OFCOM.
    All views welcomed.  Thanks.

    It would have been Openreach that visited, not BT. Openreach look after the external network.
    Any charges that they raised, would be passed back to your phone service provider.
    If you have a complaint about Openreach, you can contact them on the link below.

    There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

  • Unable to call out

    I noticed today that my galaxy will not connect when calling out. It has good service connection and will send texts, and I can receive calls, but it just keeps saying "dialing" when trying to make calls. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this?

        Hello kornari!
    That's a little unusual. I want to make sure this gets fixed for you. When did you start having issues with calling? How long have you had your phone? One step to try first is to remove & reinsert the SIM card in your phone.
    You can also follow the steps in our troubleshooting guide to try to get your calls working again. http://vz.to/12TLCsR

  • HT204053 I purchased an iphone second hand and it was clearly stolen and now I could possibly be out of $300. I've called the owner to see what we could figure out and she has not answered. Is there anything I can do? Or am I out of $300? Please help!

    If the repair shop was not apple certified repair shop then Apple will not replace/ or touch that device with a ten foot pole sadly. I'd follow Rudegar's advise and try anthoer repair shop as sadly it sounds like you got jipped by the original owner. Always verify your infomation through the company before you hand over the money!

    This detailed step-by-step guide was produced with the following article by Jason Price http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/price_10gws.html

    Success!!!
    I had to grant this permissions:
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'getClassLoader', '' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'accessClassInPackage.sun.util.calendar', '' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.lang.RuntimePermission', 'setFactory', '' )
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.util.PropertyPermission', 'HTTPClient.socket.idleTimeout', 'write' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', 'localhost', 'resolve' );
    call dbms_java.grant_permission( 'WS_TEST', 'SYS:java.net.SocketPermission', '127.0.0.1:8084', 'connect,resolve' );
    As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.
