I cant change color of type in CSS? simple code....

i dont get it. it wont change in css. i tried 3 files and
it's done it before. is something wrong in the code?

What program are you pasting from?
Try making the text white first and then copying it, or copying from an application that doesn't allow text formatting.

I want to change the color of visited sites, but am forced to set background and foreground colors which don't properly
show all of the colors for controls etc on many websites.
I have to uncheck the button to Allow pages to choose their own colors....
Google is a good example after doing a search, then change visited sites color, uncheck the allow pages button and then you can't see the search button and most of the options in the top right corner in google.
I am a little color blind, so can't differentiate blue and purple for links on visited sites...

I think the problem is that many sites use background colors to create buttons, so you lose that when you override the page's colors.
Maybe you could use an add-on to fine-tune colors instead of Firefox's all-or-nothing setting. I found a couple extensions that say they can change page colors, but I haven't tried them myself:

For a truly custom approach to link colors, there are two general purpose ways to apply your own style rules to specific sites: the Stylish extension and a userContent.css files. You would need to set a preferred text ''and'' background color for visited and unvisited links so that you are guaranteed to be able to read the text.

Cant change user or type password into skype

I suddenly cannot sign into skype nor change user, I have even uninstalled skype and installed back but no luck, ive tried one of the other guides of changing the target name but it wont allow me to, it cant even be clicked; please help, thankyou if people respone

I have resetted the settings on Internet Explorer, I was able to sign into Skype on IE, but then it wouldnt still allow me to use the skype application to type the password in, I then installed Skype from IE and it still doesnt allow me to type.

Watermark wont change color

I have PSE12. I have created a watermark 3 months ago with no issue. I am now unable to change the color. The watermark will not show up regardless of background color. I cannot change the color at all. I have even deleted the one I created and made another. This didn't correct the issue wither. I cant even get the watermark to be black? Please help

Making type change color on rollover: Cant make it work

Incredibly, I can not figure out how to make hyperlinked text change color on rollover.
I thought it was a matter of assigning a new CSS rule, but I cant find the dialog box within which to specify a rollover color.
I cant believe how difficult and obtuse such a super simple and basic function is in Dreamweaver.
WHAT am I doing wrong?

Here's what I have done in the past. Maybe not elegant, but
it works. (I
use PHP, but I'm sure you can modify for ASP.)
In the HEAD of each web page, include regular old embedded
STYLE tags,
but INCLUDE an external PHP file:

Now in that included PHP file, just have CSS code which pulls
in your
dynamic data. Here's an example snippet:

Of course, you'll need the code for the recordset somewhere

Cant change file type.

I have really enjoyed edge code, except for one thing. If i am creating a .module file for a drupal module, I can not change the editor to realize it PHP that i am writting. I might as well code this thing in word or text edit. Its usless when you cant change the editor to display php coloring. Is there any way to override this without having to save out a .php file?

Yup! Edge Code is a distribution of the Brackets project - http://brackets.io.
You *should* be able to right click on Edge Code CC.app, show file contents, and then browse to the src/languages directory. Inside that directory is a languages.json file (you can see it here). Scroll down to PHP and then add "module" to the fileExtensions list.
You'll need to use TextEdit or another editor to do it because it's a locked file and you'll need admin privileges to change it. Edge Code doesn't currently let you change those files.

How to Change Color of Anchor

Greetings,
I know this should be simple but nothing I have tried has worked. All my applications use theme_9 (Simple Gray). I just upgraded APEX to version 4.0.2 and noticed that the color of the anchor is now a redish color (#990000). I would like to change it back to black which was the color in version 4.0.1. I tried using a CSS style definition on page 0 and in the header field for each page but the color does not change. Here is the CSS code I am using:

HOW TO CHANGE COLOR ON LITTLE SUB TITLE BAR UNDER THE HEADING?

I was successfully able to change the background color on the templates headed, but that little bar under it, that displays the links to your other pages within the site did not change with it, and I have tried everything but have not been successful. How do I do this?

Those navbar links are generated by javascript and are not user editable. You can create your own navbar using a Text Based Navbar and then have complete control over font (stick with the Web Safe Fonts), color, size and rollover colors.
Cyclosaurus has posted an HTML snippet that can change the font style of the navbar of each page that the snippet is applied to. You can find it here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8596966#8596966. This page tells how tol change the navbar test to all caps: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8523772#8523772.
And the following code, again courtesy of Cyclosaurus will change the rollover color of the navbar on any page the snippet is added to:

All links change color when click 1

HI, I've tried searching for this as many ways as I can think
of - so forgive me if this has been covered before.
I've made a template file and have a series of links to
various pages (I'm in the VERY beginning stages here). On my pages
that have this template applied, the links go to where they are
supposed to go BUT when I click on 1, all the links change to the
"visited" color.
Also, the "hover over" color appears only after at least 1 of
the links has been clicked, not before, and no color changes occur
on the home page.
I know this is very elementary but we all have to start
somewhere!
My newbie site is at

p.s. If you look at the site and you notice "Web Design", I
don't really do web designing (duh). I'm making all this up just to
learn!

The link to the stylesheet on the page is broken -

That usually happens when you link to a file that is OUTSIDE
the root folder
for the site. Is this one?
