I cant connect my ipad to itunes because it has a password on it

my ipad is disabled where you have to connect to itunes but o have a passwor don it so  it will not let me

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will have to use recovery mode

  • HT201210 i cant connect my iPhone to iTunes because it has been deactivated.

Hey, this other day my iPhone 4 came after i had ordered it from apple.com and after i had started the phone and using it i made a pincode for the phone. After that i forgot the pincode, and i had to wait 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, then i had to plug in the iPhone to iTunes cause it was deactiveted.
I got warnings that said that "iTunes couldnt connect with the iPhone cause it had a lock with a pincode that i had forgot about. And i had to enter the code to go through with it" and after that i tried to reboot my iPhone, and i got the same warning..
    So can anyone help me?

Are you running Leopard on your Mac, Laurie?
If so, try instead updating to iTunes 10.6.3.25. (That supports earlier models of iPhones running iOS 6, even though it can't run the new iPhone 5s.)
A .dmg installer for iTunes version 10.6.3.25 for Mac OS can be found at the following download page on the Apple website:

  • HT4061 My Ipone is disabled and when i connect it to itunes it says that my phone cant be connected to Itunes because it has a password protection and i have to put it in the phone first but i cant do anything with the phone. what do i do.

Ok so my phone is disabled and i can not connect my phone to itunes a get an error message. what can i do.

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:
iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

  • I can't open my IPhone in iTunes because it has a password lock

I haven't used the new itunes until now. When I connect my iphone I get a message in itunes saying that it cannot import from my iphone because it has a passcode. I didn't have this problem with an earlier version of itunes. So, when I plug my iphone in I get the message in itunes and on my iphone I am prompted to trust the computer. I select trust and I still can't access my iphone. It seems that the only way to connect is to temporarily disable the passcode on the iphone. Actually I just noticed that my iphone isn't listed in Finder. Help!
    thanks for your help

    Hi Stephanie,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're going to have to put the iPad in to recovery mode before you can restore it. The article linked below provides more details about the passcode lock and will walk you through putting the process of restoring from recovery mode.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
    Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode, which will erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
    Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK, then restore the device.
    Cheers!

    Hello Butzi1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Since iTunes is asking your to enter the passcode, and you are unable to access the iPad, you will need to put the device into recovery mode and restore the iPad by following the directions below.
Click OK, then restore the device.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
    Take care,
    Alex H.
